Decided to take the leap and try and release some music on Bandcamp, since it was Bandcamp Friday last week I decided to push my self and do it. I made this wobbly UKG track, directly on the OP-XY and straight to tape.. and it was live mixed during the process of recording which makes it incredibly fun to put out and show people.

for anyone interested - It has taken about 12-14 months to get fully competent on the OP-XY, and thats with just a little of musical talent, used to play some instruments a long time ago, and have DJs for a long time, I also played with the Ko2 for a while before getting the OP-XY, which definitely helped. Watching youtube videos has been key also, people like SON WU for example! And using it all the time and making a lot of mistakes, and thinking stuff sounded good when it did not. But unlocking the potential on OP-XY is the major fun part when you get used to using it.

Thinking of maybe posting some tutorials, one day, and I have some other tracks over on my channel. DNB, Dubstep, and UKG like this one.

Hi all. I'm working on a project using the OP-XY with external MIDI devices, and I'm using a Synthstrom Deluge as the main sequencer.

I've noticed a very odd issue when I start playing from an external device. The notes on the OP-XY become almost gated, as if they end too soon.

I checked all the possible settings on both the Deluge and the OP-XY to try and figure out the issue, and have found that nothing will fix it at all, other than once I've started playing and I turn the clock sync off and back on the OP-XY. Everything starts to sound right, exactly as it does if I just play the OP-XY from its own play button.

I've checked this with another sequencer (Roland S-1) and found the exact same issue.

I've done a fair bit of hunting online and found nothing that helps whatsoever (and don't get me started on the waste of time that AI was!)

Just to clarify - I turn off all MIDI on the OP-XY other than clock, and that's set to in. If I go to the system menu and then the monitoring display, I can see start & stop messages and nothing else. When I've tested this, both the Deluge and S-1 were not sending any other data - just transport.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions, or is this possibly a known bug with the OP-XY?
