Mozz n Co in West Hartford is the best value I found this year.

Mozz n Co in West Hartford is the best value I found this year.

I was passing through on a whim and came across this place on Google Maps

I thought it’d be more of an Italian Deli vibe with various meats and cheeses hanging from the ceiling. But it was a nice tucked away ‘restaurant set up’ - I put that in quotes because it’s tiny. Albeit a perfect size for this day n age. With its own parking, that has to be a blessing for takeout business particularly in that area.

The sandwiches are made in either focaccia or semolina bread with the sesame seeds. It felt like they’re made in house but with all the fantastic bakeries it’s tough to tell.

Most of them are priced between 10-12 bucks for a half. And high teens for a large.

I promise you - the size of a half - and combined with the quality of ingredients - you can easily get two great decent sized sandwiches. I’m saving half’s (yes I know, I’m leaving it) for tomorrow because they’ll be even better.

Most of the ingredients are import standards some provided by Napoli foods out of Cheshire or maybe Accardi Foods out of Boston I believe.

They had a fun selection of flavored Italian sodas. San Pellegrino and some Italian brand whose blood orange flavor was on point.

OH - also make their own chips. One thing I’m always skeptical of - a lot of places can’t figure out a good chip. But I have it a shot since, ya know, when in rome. … Anyways, 3 flavors - but as soon as she said salt n vinegar I said yep and I forget what the other two options are. But I’ll be back so I’ll update this when I get the other two flavors. The salt n vinegars were fantastic.

The quality is unreal at their price point. The creativity is there in the menu - a perfect blend of cost and quality to earn repeat business.

This deserves a ‘highly suggested, make the trip’ out of 5.

One of the top spots still in 2026 for Carne Asada in PHX Valley is Ta Cabron 59th Ave and Camelback Glendale AZ

In my opinion, TacaBron has always been one of the best spots for carne asada in the valley. Anytime we're in the area I always trying to find an excuse to stop by. I wish they had one in the East Valley but you know it wouldn't be the same as their OG location on 59th and Camelback. Today we kept it simple just got a few carne asada tacos and then a carne asada super quesadilla.

Legit !! Carne Asada Pizza from Itza Pizza in East Mesa same owners as Morenos Mexican Grill ...

This #carneassada #pizza from Itza pizza and Wings in East Mesa is legit !! Maybe that's because the owner is also the owner of Morenos Mexican Food. This Pizza was cooked perfectly. I do suggest eating it there or at least trying a slice fresh out of the oven. There is so much flavor and the lighty charged pieces of carne asada with the crispy bacon pieces, the pepperonis, the red onions and the jalapenos plus the cheeses makes this a must try item in my opinion. We also got some boneless wings this time. last time I tried the bone-in wings. I loved these boneless wings and I'm not the biggest fan of boneless wings but I would definitely order these again. I think my favorite might be the lemon pepper dipping it in the ranch. The chicken pieces are huge. almost like mini tenders. I still have to try a few flavors including garlic, parmesan and a couple of their Buffalo options. Check this mom and pop small business out in East Mesa on the southeast corner of power and Main.

Mrs Whites Golden Rule Cafe Legendary Soul Food PHX AZ spot since 1964 ...

I had to take Kris to the Legendary Mrs Whites Golden Rule Cafe. It's been open since 1964. It recently got an update and makeover from Chef Gordon Ramsey. This has always been one of my favorite places to eat in the Valley since I started going to Mrs Whites back in the late 90s when I moved here. I remember D Backs games used to be so popular you and to park down by the cafe sometimes and walk up lol. It's located on 808 Jefferson St. It used to confuse me how to get there because the street was one way heading east and you had to use back streets to get to the parking lot. Fun fact, Larry Lo-Lo from Lo-Lo's chicken and waffles is the grandson of Mrs White. He got his start working in her kitchen. I don't care about ratings this is worth checking out and supporting A piece of Phoenix history and the definition of what it is to run a successful small Mom and pop's business before there were rule books on the internet to teach people how to do so !!!!

I'll have a descriptive video version up soon ...

What's your favorite restaurant with a huge menu? Like 100+ items

The kind of place where the menu is basically a book. I love these spots but I always end up ordering the same 2 or 3 things because actually reading the whole menu feels impossible.

I made a little tool where you can ask a menu questions in plain english, like what's good here besides the famous thing, or is there anything spicy that isn't soup. No idea if it's useful to anyone else yet. Drop your favorite giant menu restaurant and I'll load their menu in so you can try it. If it sucks tell me it sucks.

Last Night While Driving I saw a Ribs by the Bucket Food Truck in Apache Junction Caveman's Bucket Ribs ... FOODIE GANG Review

We were literally driving down Meridian in Apache Junction and saw a food truck on the side of the road that said ribs by the bucket !! So when we got to our spot I did some recon work and looked them up. the food looked amazing. the prices were more than fair and they actually started their business on the Facebook marketplace !! We are all for supporting small businesses so we had to give them a try !! We ended up getting the full bucket of ribs and deep fried corn. it's literally a full rack of ribs and they even cut each piece separated for you. You can also get two different sauces or flavors. we decided to go with a dry rub which was their caveman spicy and then we also went with the maple bourbon which is wet. Check this place out The food was really good. I felt we got great value and we support small businesses !! They are located on 466 South meridian Road in Apache Junction.

Tacos Oaxaca just opened in PHX AZ with $2 Tacos and Al Pastor off the Trumpo : Foodie Gang Food Review

New Taco Spot alert !!! Shout out @NaveadReviewsFood someone sent me his video so you know I had to go check it out !! They have $2 Street tacos which I got carne asada and the Al Pastor. Both are Worth getting in my opinion but I have to give the edge to the pastor because of how flavorful and tender the meat was and then that pineapple wedge just brought it over the top. The Carne Asada Burrito I ordered was busting out the seams then definitely a lot of meat for the money (pause). The flavor with a little bit of added rice, little bit of beans, light onions, light cilantro. that's how they made it. I didn't ask for it that way but it was a perfect blend. This on the corner of 20th Street and Van Buren in Phoenix gives off East LA taco truck vibes !! Google says they're only open Tuesday through Thursday but I asked them and they are open on the weekends. they need to change that listing. I'd suggest getting a drink across the street at the liquor store. parking there and walking over. The family is from Oaxaca Mexico. I'll be back soon !! Please support Mom and pop's, support small business, support local but most importantly Support good people doing good business !!

Harold's Chicken in PHX AZ has some good Catfish Foodie Gang Review

Harolds Chicken is a legendary chicken spot in Chicago that opened a Phoenix location back in 2019. I actually used to go to the Chicago locations back in the early 2000s. I even went to the Phoenix location the week it first opened. The big question I have to ask after checking out reviews is why are they only rated a 3.9 on Google ?? Check out the video to see my thoughts and I will say the catfish is, what's my favorite word? phenomenal !!! Harolds is located at 1635 E Baseline Rd in Phoenix AZ.

New Itza Pizza & Wings in East Mesa takes over the Old ATL Wings location ! Food Review I need to try the Carne Asada Pizza ...

Itza Pizza and Wings on the Southeast corner of Main Street and Power in the old ATL Wings building is having their grand opening July 18th. I was also told they will have their carne asada pizza soon, they're just working out the kinks. Full video review dropping tomorrow.

This place is owned by the Sam owners of Morenos Mexican Restaurants so I can't wait to try the Carne Asada Pizza. I think I overdid it on the Kool Aide lol smh

I'd say the best item was the Seasoned fries and then dipping them in the homemade Ranch. I thought the pizza was Solid and I liked the cupped pepperoni and the cheese. The wings we tried 4 different styles , 2 dry rubs a Lemon Pepper (salty and tangy but crispy) and a Scorpion Dust (crispy) which had a little heat but not like the name suggests and then 2 sauced ones , the Pineapple Jalapeno which hit well with the ranch but you can't let them sit for too long because they have a jelly based sauce and the Cajun Buffalo was a little soggy ok heat Wise and although decent the least favorite of the 4 choices.

The chicken tenders to me were just basic but they were priced well , I want to say like $2 or less each and when you pair it with the right dipping sauces it makes up for the tenders imo being mid. For the record I was surprised but My Mom and my Fiance liked the tenders a lot.

The Grand opening is this Saturday the 18th and they have some giveaways and discounts , check the flyer in the video .
