I would like to put together a list of unionized dispensaries so that those of us who value that can know what our options are. I work at a non union dispensary and will not be shopping there until we're able to unionize it.
I think a lot of us would agree that Certified has been absolutely crushing it lately. There was a period of time where everything I bought from them crumbled into dust the moment I touched it, so I avoided this brand for a while until I started seeing reviews again. Luckily, the dryness doesn’t seem to be much of a problem anymore now that Ohio laws allow for higher moisture content. My faith in this brand has been fully restored after I bought a half oz of the last batch of kush face—that shit was absolute fire. Since there’s so many strains to pick from right now, I thought I’d try a bunch and let you guys know which ones stand out to me.
Sunnyside was running a deal for 4 jars of certified eighths for $100, so I ended up grabbing 6 jars since I couldn’t settle for just 4 😂 I can’t remember exactly but I think I ended up paying about 160 after tax for all 6 jars here. Solid solid deal. Now I’m gonna run through each of them as briefly as I can lol
LA BAKER SELECT - a staple strain from certified, the numbers on this jar were too loud to ignore. Nugs are big, bright, squishy, and glittery. The smell is gassy, peppery, and just a little bit sweet too. The interesting parts of the profile do get a bit lost in the smoke and you’re kind of just left with gas and some of that signature Certilizer taste as well. Effects are great though, nice heady high that doesn’t overwhelm. Really love this one.
BLUE TAMALEZ - a new offering from certified (or at least new to me). Nugs are super light and puffy. I’ll admit the outer leaves are a bit dry but not to an offensive degree. Smell is a bit muted but I’m getting some fresh herb and spice. Flavor is good, it’s got some of that caryo spice but it’s not heavy and woody like caryo tends to be sometimes. Definitely getting some of that Certilizer taste too though. If you hate that flavor you’re not gonna like this stuff lol but overall I enjoyed this. Nice chill hybrid that has a decent little buzz to it. This one is for sharing.
LARRY’S BREATH SELECT - profile wise this one was kind of a letdown. I expected way more funky smell and flavor but really I’m just getting nothing but Certilizer here. Lots of sugar leaf. Effects are SOLID though, this one is definitely a great night time smoke. I took one big rip just for the sake of this review and I am quickly feeling glued to my chair. I was almost bummed by this purchase until I smoked it 😂
MOONBOW - this one is also heavy on the Certilizer but I actually really enjoy it here?? Normally I’m a bit put off by the flavor but it actually seems to pair well with moonbow…it’s hard to describe but I’m sort of addicted to this stuff now. Not the heaviest indica but it’s very smooth and very chill. I’ll definitely be grabbing this one again.
HEADBAND 99 - this one was recommended to me by the budtender. I thought the numbers looked abysmal and he could tell by the look on my face, but he insisted that it was worth trying, and he was right. I’m very surprised by headband 99, it’s got a very pleasant sweetness to it, and the effects are true headband. Feeling lots of warmth in the forehead and behind the eyes. Definitely picking this one up again, especially if they can beef up the terps a bit more next time.
DIVINE INFERNO - easily the prettiest looking bud out of the bunch. These nugs are glittery af and they have these little licks of purple sprinkled throughout too. The smell is incredible, it definitely has the classic dante’s inferno sweet, creamy, woody profile you would expect. I would wear this as a cologne if I could lol. Taste matches the smell and the effects are rock solid. This one is tied with Larry’s Breath for that knockout potency.
Ok so now that I’m high as fuck I’m gonna try to write some kind of neat conclusion here lol. I think the biggest disappointment was blue tamalez sadly, it didn’t really have a whole lot interesting going on. I was most pleasantly surprised by headband 99, I’m definitely hoping they bring that one back and work on it some more. Headband 99 Select would go hard. And I think if I had to pick one indica out of the 3 I got, I would have to give this one to Divine Inferno for overall enjoyment. Hope my ramblings have helped you guys with any picks you’d like to make yourselves, thanks for reading!

Hey howdy! I am not technically/legally a med card user (yet) but I do have 2 local dispensaries that sell for recreational purposes. Im hoping to get a med card some time next year. I have a diagnosis of degenerative disc disease, ptsd, autism, hashimotos and also suspected hEDS. I mostly use it for my chronic pain and recently my joint & nerve pain in my lower back and hips have been AWFUL. What strains and brands do yall recommend for those things? It seems like my ol reliable isnt ol reliable-ing anymore.
Also more context: I live in the Miami Valley area near Piqua where I go to the dispo at. Im still new to all this even if its been a year since full legalization.
I cant have flower in the home currently so I mostly utilize edibles, topicals, and disposables/carts. Im hoping I can obtain flower someday since I do believe they have the most benefits out of all the methods of consumption. Also hella apologies if this post seems way too formal than it should be I am not sure how to write casually for things like this Im just a guy having awful bad pain flares and I hope Im getting my point across 😭

Woodward Animal Tree
I went with this recently to try something different. It's like smoking black pepper, both smell and taste. I know their Wedding Cake has pretty much identical terps, but these are a fair bit different.
I can't say it's my favorite, but it's definitely a hybrid with mostly a body high. Just doesn't have that deep indica body high.
I'm interested how I can have three different Caryophyllene dominant strains and none of them are quite the same. Personally I don't detect a whole lot of citrus to it like some spoke about.
Also it looks light because I got this about a week ago and smoked some before getting around to photos.
Has any one had this one? Is it worth grabbing One maybe there. GSC
Taste-10/10 sweet jam followed by cinnamon spice flavor taste just like strawberry jelly on a piece of toast flavor comes through good
Smell-10/10 strong berry smell just like you’d expect with undertones of gas. It’s more sweet and gassy on the break down
Effect-10/10 almost instant head high after 2-3 hits slightly transition to body high but mainly heady about 80/20. Sorta racey high but after 2 woods it mellowed out and started to have a couch lock body high easily sedative. Smooth smoke little harshness but it’s enjoyable
Looks-9/10 super big dense fresh buds spongy and extra sticky reminds me of Woodward. Some buds kinda leafy rough cut but I don’t mind at least they don’t machine trim 👏🏾 looks more dank in person
Overall 10/10 another Galenas banger pick it up if you see it $130 otd at zips I wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I did wish they had more variety of different unique strains in half’s I’d buy this all day
I’ve tried 5 strains of Woodward in the past week that I hadn’t had before - now onto my 6th!
I had, in order from worst/best: cherry jungle, wedding cake, grapehead, banana Mac & frosty bananas.
Frosty bananas and banana Mac are tied, IMO, as far as taste/smoke/high are concerned. They were the best of all the strains - pungent, banana-like sweetness, and gassy. Super terpy, too. And for being lower in thc % compared to the others.. They were wonderful!
Still want to try permanent g, amongst others, but for now I think I’m Woodward’d out.

Didn’t take me multiple bowls to get here either. I love when that happens. I have such a high tolerance that it usually takes at least 2-3 to go somewhere.
I recommend this more than grapehead, wedding cake, cherry jungle.. I was in a pretty shitty mood, but this is cerebral and I don’t feel much of anything negative right now. That’s how I like it.
When making your product choices, what criteria do you usually like to fulfill for your own experience?
I start with THC to know the potency of what I am smoking, then total terps percentage from the lab testing because I believe low terps is low quality in anything, then harvest date to ensure it hasn't been degrading over the course of its shelf life.
I've met a few people who buy because of the strain name or the brand that makes it and I wanted to lift this stone because I believe there is more to it than "look how pretty, take my money."
Hello, I'll be moving to Ohio later this year and will be growing my own medicine at home, my question is for those that grow outdoors mainly. How is growing outdoors with the humidity? I've been looking at the weather and the humidity seems pretty dangerously high to flower comfortably outdoors without risking bud rot and what not. Is it possible? Should I stick to my grow tents indoors? Thanks in advance!

Zest Fest is a very citrusy, very buzzy 88 percenter with high terpinolene. My fiance loves sativas and buzzy fruity strains and she is absolutely addicted to this one. I’ll have to pick one up each time I see it from now on 😂
Garlic Drip x Garlic Juice is the one I’ve been enjoying to myself more and it also smacks. It’s funky and savory, leaving much more of that garlic in the aftertaste much later after the exhale.
I’m normally a flower guy all the way, but I like to keep a vape around when smoking isn’t always an option. I couldn’t be happier with these. Highly recommend!!
