How to make this ledge skateable [37YO]

How to make this ledge skateable [37YO]

Recently found an abandoned lot with very nice pavement and the perfect setup for a medium bank-to-ledge. There’s a planter / overgrown raised bed situation at the top of the bank and I’m trying to figure out the simplest way to turn it into a ledge.

The wood at the top of the bank is a 6x6 post - somewhat rotten but not totally gone. I was thinking I may buy a couple 2x6x8 boards and tack them together with a 2x4 on the back + a few posts to pound into the dirt. Then I’d throw angle iron on the 2x6, screw into the original 6x6 and call it a day.

I’m basically looking to make this easily removable so I want something I can just drop down onto the existing wood. Any recommendations / advice would be appreciated!

What do you call this? [41YO]

Just got back into skating. Trying to keep up with my kids. First ride on the cruiser on the backyard mini. Not sure if this is a hand plant pivot or what it’s officially called.

Finally bit the bullet and learnt rock transfer over a spine [38YO]

I’ve been able to blunt transfer since my teenage years but the rock over always scared the shit out of me. Stoked I’ve managed to get it

Hips & arse protection for old timer returning [50YO]

Any recommendations for under shorts / pants protection for hips and arse? Old street skater returning for fun and fitness, seems I can still do pop shuvs, kick and heel flips etc but I’m too damn scared to land both feet on the board for fear of it shooting out from under me and destroying my hips or tailbone in the process. Thinking some protection might boost my confidence. Wrist guards I already have.

Is there a trick that you don't/can't do because of health/physical issues? [31YO]

Recently I've been trying switch FS shove its, and I realized that for some reason they make the left side of my hip hurt. I don't have the same problem with FS shove its in any other stance, just switch. Idk I just found it interesting. Anybody else has a trick that causes you pain?

Ok guys should I just picked up some authentic in the package vintage final touches for both of these decks I built in the last six months! Check it out [50YO]

Everything I need to complete if anybody on here is interested in those risers with the bolts for the old bolt pattern on vintage trucks all brand new. Feel free to send me a DM first come first serve just send me a prepaid shipping label and I will package them up once they get to me and ship them off to you. You can see the details on them in the description, and then my two recent set ups I sharing as well just because I’m so proud of them just gotta finish up that grip tape on the Stingee Thingee as I mentioned . I’m just still trying to decide in my brain exactly how I wanna do it and what colors lol with the stencil I have on order of the honeycomb and the killer bee thing.!

I found this in a 1991 Transworld, where Christian Hosoi is responding to people saying he's past his prime because he's at the old age of 23. I thought you all would find it amusing. [51yo]
