Ohio state troopers (highway patrol) on OPL?

If anyone's interested, I recently had a quick chat with two random troopers about the possibilities of them being on OPL. The one dude was familiar with the show. His partner seemed absolutely stone-cold to the idea.

Here's a status report:

It'll be a cold day in hell before the Ohio Highway Patrol is on. The big reason seems to that they don't do ridealongs with the public. The only ridealongs they do are with people who are already in the training process. As the trooper mentioned, there's also a liability/insurance reason there with the camera crews, especially with the fact that anything can happen at a moment's notice.

They'd be an interesting agency though, especially in the poorer/rural areas in eastern and southern Ohio.

I just thought I'd share.

OPL is NOT leaving Peacock

We had confirmation from Peacock OPL is NOT leaving any time soon.

They have offered no reason why this pops up once or twice a year, but said they will pass our concerns about it to their team.

No more posts about this (until next time).

On Patrol Live Leaving Peacock, As Per Peacock Rep

To follow up on my post in this group from the other day about OPL possibly leaving Peacock due to the note on every OPL episode that you have 'x' number of days left to watch the show, today it's 22 days left, I finally got an answer from someone at Peacock regarding this, and it's not good.

According to a Peacock customer service agent named Gagandeep that I just had an online chat with on their website, he said the following, an exact quote:

"I would like to inform you that On Patrol Live will be leaving Peacock on 9/7/26 due to streaming rights."

So it sounds like Reelz is not renewing their streaming rights with Peacock, most likely I would assume to push people to their new streaming platform Reelz+. I am still trying to get an answer about this directly from Reelz, but they do not seem to respond to messages.

I suppose it's possible that Peacock and Reelz will reach a new agreement between now and 9/7. As some replied in my previous post about this topic, these "x days left" countdowns have appeared on OPL and other shows on Peacock before, and the shows did not end up leaving. I'm just informing everyone what I heard from Peacock directly.

I will update if I ever hear back from Reelz on this.

--------------------------------------------

UPDATE 4:25pm ET: I finally got a response from Peacock in the Facebook chat that I sent the other day, and this person said OPL is remaining on Peacock. So I honestly don't know what the correct answer is. Got two different answers from two different people. Doesn't seem like anybody there knows what's going on. Guess we'll find out on 9/7 whether OPL stays or goes. Hopefully it stays.

My initial post was just reporting what I was told earlier in a live chat. As for the first name of the agent that I spoke to that everyone seems to be getting a chuckle about, I guess that's what happens when you farm out your customer service to India, lol.

Devon Brown From Clayton County moving to Florida

Honestly was expecting to see more deputy’s leave with all of the shake up in Clayton County recently. Sounds like he’s moving to FHP and he’s said it’s a dream of his before, so good for him!

OPL 23 Days Left To Watch on Peacock?

Is anyone else that watches OPL on Peacock seeing this note on every show that you have 23 days left to watch?

I'm wondering if Reelz is ending their agreement with Peacock, or what the deal is. I've messaged Peacock and Reelz about it, and can't get an answer from anyone.

It's been so convenient being able to watch the show on Peacock. It works well for someone like me that travels a lot for work, and I'm really not interested in paying for another streaming service to watch OPL. So I really hope it isn't the case that OPL will no longer be on Peacock.

Kenny Fitzsimmons and his heroic actions are seen in an instagram ad

This moment on OPL was one of the most raw/real moments, and I just saw it being used as an instagram ad. I understand it’s for suicide prevention, but it still is a little weird. I wonder if they have the man’s (or anyone’s) permission to use the video in an ad?? Seems dystopian.

Regardless, just a reminder that everyone’s life matters! 🤍

Berkeley County officers on campus

I work at a college in Charleston and apparently we hired Berkeley County officers to assist with traffic control for move-in. One of our own public safety officers told me that there are 2 BC officers here today who appear on the show, but my office is too busy for me to go looking for them. Maybe later this afternoon if I’m lucky.

Curtis Wilson on John Oliver's Last Week Tonight

Anyone else see our own Curtis Wilson on John Oliver's Last Week Tonight? There was a quick take on news station personnel discussing National Grab Some Nuts Day.

Curtis sat quietly while others joked and it appeared he was trying to roll out of the camera view because he WAS NOT having it!

Way to stay professional Curtis!! 👌

Triple Play Mugshot

There was a mugshot shown in the road rage third Triple Play that I did last night on the show. We showed a pic Armand Hastings who chased the couple driving backwards bizarrely.

What's with no mugshots on the Triple Play anymore?

I think the title says it all. No mugshots last night or tonight, haven't been tracking if it's just this weekend or a new thing this season or what.

Peacock episodes show "30 days left"

I'm watching older episodes from the end of Season 4, and i see that all episodes have a tag "30 Days Left". Anyone else notice this, or know what's going on? Are the archives of episodes getting removed, is something happening with their Peacock deal? Any info to share would be appreciated.
