Before anyone calls this is Blind Gun glazing, I’m not trying to argue that Gun is currently the strongest character in the verse.

My point is simply that Gun’s HFG gauntlet was one of the moments that significantly changed the way people viewed the powerscaling. The number of opponents he went through consecutively was something we hadn’t really seen before, and it raised the standard for what a top tier could accomplish.

Since then, the scaling has obviously progressed. Characters like Kitae and the current Pre-Gen characters have introduced feats and portrayals that have surpass Gun’s previous showings. So I’m completely fine with saying that parts of Gun’s HFG performance have been powercrept.

However, powercreep doesn’t automatically make those feats unimpressive or make Gun irrelevant. His HFG performance can be surpassed while still being one of the most significant displays in the series.

Basically, I’m not saying “Gun is still above everyone because I like him.” I’m saying that we can acknowledge the newer scaling while also giving Gun credit for how much his HFG gauntlet contributed to raising the ceiling of the verse.

The powerscaling evolved. That doesn't mean the older feats suddenly stopped being impressive.

When a mastermind as cold and calculating as Charles Choi treats your strength as an untouchable wall, it says everything.

Both gun and shingen has nearly identical laugh, both have ui mode and can go ultra instinct
