so basically a dad on reddit made a post about his son who was 19 , the same age as me and how his son suffered from social anxiety and that him and his wife need help because his son is alone , doesn’t have friends , etc . so i commented on the post saying i could be his friend , the dad seemed hesitant but later on agreed and today he gave me his social media asking to search for someone with a name , and i did i ended up finding him surprisingly . the problem is i dont know what to say , im unsure of it and i cant blatantly say that your dad told me to talk to you because he thinks youre lonely . so what do i do ? how can i make this guy feel less alone . i wanted to help him because i had felt he suffered similar things as me , am i doing the right thing ? idk what to do i asked the dad what his interests were he said video games and working out and im thinking of some things to say but how will i explain me randomly wanting to talk to this dude who doesnt even know me …
