Do universities care about MCR3U?

I am in grade 10, but I was wondering how MCR3U factored into admissions. I was on a DECA trip for a week then got sick, and may have gotten a 50 on a test. This dropped my average from 93 to 83, and I don’t think I can get it back up with the units left.

do unis even care about this especially since I took this in grade 10?

Achieving to get a 90-92% in grade 11 Ontario Functions university level (MCR3U0)

So, the year is about to come to an end, and I have an 83-85% right now. Good news is, my teacher will drop my lowest unit mark and may give a 2% percentage booster boost since he's seen me put so much effort mid semester trying to improve

Problem is, I need a little over a 90% on the rest of my unit tests (I have 2 more left, and I think one of the units are easy to get a 90) and I need to be sure that I can get a 90% on my summative AND the exam.

I have time right now to start preparing. We haven't finished all of our course work yet. I want to get a final grade of 90% which is still possible (my teacher told me)

Does anyone have a full structure or any tips, tricks, anything that can help me prepare and do great throughout the rest of the course? This won't only help me, but will surely help so many other students.

How do you really study? Especially subjects like Biology, Math, Chemistry, even english?

I honestly have no idea at all how to study, so far I have been watching lot of videos such as making mind maps, taking proper notes, etc. but I have no clue how to actually apply those methods...

Tips for the Waterloo Avogadro Contest

So tomorrow I will be doing the Avogadro Chemistry Contest from the UofW and I was wondering if you guys have any tips. Especially those who’ve done it. I tried the practice tests and honestly I am (kind of) scared. Because we haven’t learned half of the stuff I see on it. We haven’t touched solubility, gases, haven’t even finished stoichiometry. It honestly does not even look hard, it is just the fact that I haven’t learned any if it. I tried to teach myself but it’s hard to learn multiple subjects when your teacher tells you about it 2 weeks prior. Is there anyone who did it last year? How was it? Because I looked it up and apparently the average was 50.6%. I know it doesn’t affect my grades or anything but it seems like a waste not doing good on it. Especially since it could look good on future applications and the scholarship reward is pretty good.

I just dropped it but am considering doing it for nightschool. I am taking gr12 physics next year. I would like to know because my research hasn’t given me a clear answer

Do grade 11 marks matter alot?

Basically, I really want to get into an aviation program, but my marks are kind of low(low 80's average). I was wondering if I can still get into aviation with these gr 11 marks. I'm still not sure how gr 11 marks work with universities. Also, if I do better in gr 12, would I have a better chance in getting into aviation?

How can I improve my French?

Specifically my speaking and listening. My reading and writing are decent but I can’t say full sentences without writing it down first or reading a script. Listening is not too bad but it’s hard when my teacher is speaking so fast. I’ve tried reading French novels and watching French cartoons but they’re not helping with my speaking.
