Why Intel’s Big Offering Isn’t Freaking Everyone Out

Intel’s $20B offering news might not actually be that bad. INTC is down pre-market, but sentiment is holding up pretty surprisingly well. That massive whale put position is wild to see, though the short-term downside doesn’t look as brutal as everyone feared. After checking a breakdown of the numbers, I’m honestly leaning toward holding my position a little longer.

How do you pick the right option?

Say I am bullish on $DELL. I think it’s at $800 next year.

I’m looking at
$400C 12/28
$500C 12/28
$600C 12/28
$700C 12/28

I know the 700 will have the highest return if it’s at $800 next year, but I also understand my odds of donating my money drastically increase.

I also know I can bust out my calculator, find how much each option costs, and calculate what I make at each expiration. But am I doing this the slow way?

TLDR: Is there a better way to analyze different options before I buy them?

CBOE is launching pre-market stock options trading starting Aug 17, covering 21 popular names like Nvidia, Tesla, Micron and 18 others.

No more waiting for the 9:30 bell to trade around big market catalysts — you can now hedge or position for event-driven gaps during the extended pre-market session. Saw this breakdown on moomoo, pretty wild how much this is going to shake up morning trading flows, who's already planning their CPI playbook for the first live test?

Every week I keep a watchlist, write down what I'm seeing, and review the risks before considering any position. I don't sell signals, run a paid group, or promise anyone profits. I simply enjoy discussing the market with people who like thinking through ideas together.

If you're someone who enjoys systematic stock screening or looking for overlooked opportunities, leave a comment or send me a message. I'm always interested in comparing notes and learning how other investors approach the market.
