OC Animal Care is overflowing with cuties!

Visited OC Animal Care yesterday and the shelter was loaded with cats and dogs of all sizes and ages. So many sweet furry friends just waiting for a new home. The energy a new pet brings into the house can be so enriching. Please consider adding a new family member to your home if possible. Also consider visiting, even if you are not planning on adopting, the animals would love the attention!

🚨 OUR RESCUE IS AT CAPACITY — URGENT HOMES NEEDED 🚨

Our small independent rescue is completely full and overwhelmed right now. We cannot continue taking in more cats or properly support the emergencies coming our way unless some of our current foster cats finally find homes.

At this moment, we have 5 real emergencies waiting for help that we are unable to take in because we simply have no space left.

Some of the cats currently with us are hiding constantly, being bullied by other cats, or living in extreme stress from overcrowding. They deserve real homes, stability, and peace.

We are begging anyone considering adopting a cat to please consider one of ours.

🖤 Lola — affectionate little shadow hiding in nightstands because she’s scared.

🐯 Shishi — sweet peaceful boy constantly getting bullied by other male cats.

🌸 Brigette — tiny shy girl hiding behind washers/dryers because she feels overwhelmed.

🤎 Dixie — calm older soul overlooked for OVER A YEAR.

🌙 Kawzim & Zuzu — soft sweet duo who desperately need a calm environment to thrive.

All cats are fixed, vaccinated, flea treated, and incredibly loving.

We also have MORE cats not pictured here. The good news is you can meet multiple cats and we can send many more photos/videos to help you find the right cat.

Please comment or DM if interested in adopting or fostering urgently.

Anyone lose a man’s watch?

We went out to our mailbox on Friday to get our mail and found a nice men’s watch inside. Just a watch, no box or packaging along with our mail. The mailman claims it was there when he delivered the mail.

The watch is nice but a brand I’ve never heard of. Worth a couple hundred dollars according to eBay.

I’ve checked with neighbors and no one claims it as theirs.

Anyone lose or have a watch stolen recently? If so, message me the brand and type of watch and I’ll consider it yours. If I don’t figure out the mystery in the next few days, I’ll drop it off at the Irvine PD.

Hey everyone,

A few days ago I posted here as a single father with two kids looking for housing in Orange County:
https://www.reddit.com/r/occlassified/comments/1t1crd4/single_father_with_2_kids_small_pets_looking_for/

Since then I've been calling pretty much every local organization and shelter. Almost all of them sent me this exact PDF:

https://www.ochcd.org/sites/hcd/files/2026-01/OC%20Affrd%20Hsing%20List%20Revised%2012.2025.pdf

To be honest, it’s really hard to use — especially when you’re stressed and trying to find information on your phone.

So I built something better. Fist for myself to make that process faster. And tonight get decision to post it publicly.

CalHomeAid — a clean, searchable, filterable version of that same list:

https://calhomeaid.info

What’s inside:

  • Search by name, address or notes
  • Filters by city, housing type, bedrooms, and status
  • Mobile-friendly cards with phone numbers right there
  • Regular updates from the official source

100% free. No ads. And if you want, you can check it's the same data that you can find in PDF.

I asked the moderators for permission before posting (they approved), because I wanted to share it the right way.

I'm still looking for housing myself, but I wanted to make the process a little easier for anyone going through the same struggle.

If it helps even one person — I'm happy.

Stay strong.
