A gobbo archer unit is a must-have for a greenskin army. They never let me down in doing at least something, as these trashy bowmen are the most cost efficient way to annoy someone from afar. Even the fellowship flees from them in moria, so you can't really go wrong with them in Warhammer as well. ;)

Got the Gitmob box when it came out, has taken me a while to get it done. I must say I find the AoS style of figures very busy and challenging to paint.
I put the Snarlpack Hunters on 50x50mm and one on a 50x25mm so I can run a unit of 6 skirmish wolf riders with spears and 5 with bows (bow arms from the Snarlfangs). Or I guess I can put them together with the 11 Snarlfangs for a giant unit of 22.
Some small conversions on "Kiknik" as you can see. I still don't love this figure, he is too fat, more like Grom the Paunch on a wolf, but I am not talented enough to do much more with it than I did. I did enjoy the small tweak to the trophy rack to make it sit on top of his shoulder armour.
Anyway, C&C appreciated etc. Next time my 18 different chariots.

Another month is over which of course means another batch of greenskins painted. This time its the heavy hitters. Black Orcs and Big'Uns. Plus a bunch of characters. Was a lot of fun to paint. Especially trying out pigment powders for basing. Wish I had done it earlier. Next are a bunch of orc raiders and an Azhag.
Time to show the test print of the Orc raider!! Seems FB loves the pics taken of test prints, so here he is in all his glory! Soon I will show him painted!

For Orcs&Goblins in TOW: what units and/or unit options are "trap choices"? Meaning those units, characters or options that are extremely ineffective for their point cost, or just plain bad in almost all circumstances.
What are your experiences with this? What do you consider "wrong" choices - and which do you maybe take anyway?
The base of the figures are wire stop motion armatures with action figure style hands and feet. Parts of the figure, including the heads and the squig, are chunks of old Warhammer models that I up scaled, broke apart, then remodelled the missing areas to turn them from static statues into poseable toys.

Just finished this guy. Night Goblin arm, head (helmet) and the weapon arm are from Squig Hopper bits. The OG wolf rider is old and had a broken spear. Also very derpy. He's gonna be used for a level four Oddnob on giant wolf in my Battle March army. His name is Zukluk Scabpeeler and the wolf is named Stripe.

I have this wonderful unit of 20 Squigs with 4 handlers, and I really really want to play them, as they are just soooo characterfull for the Night Goblin army.
But how do I make them work? With only one wound each, toughness 3 and zero armour save, they die if somebody even looks their way. Used them once I a 2000 point battle - got flanked and killed. Squigs gone wild rule didn't do much.
So advice and experience stories needed here fellow Greenskins - have you had any success with these beautiful critters?

My second fanatics unit, on their movement tray. Not much to say, but they are GW models, from the rather uninspired plastic kit and I wish I had gotten the netal ones back then. Maybe some here like them nevertheless. :)
Aside from arachnarok spiders, I have heard of tilean greybacks, scarlet deathheads, drakwald mancatchers and purple skullbacks. Are their other spider types that have been mentioned in the lore?
There was a someone waaay back in the day putting together a 20,000 Orc & Goblin army with whatever O&G minis he had from years of collecting and was posting images. This was on Warseer.com, I think?
Some pics of a small gobbo mage, from a 20 yo box called Battle for Skull Pass. He is a low level mage in my army but he captures perfectly what gobbos are about. A little crazy, a little crappy and full of shrooms.
