I see that golden wok has their buffet running again. We’re not from the area so we never got to experience that just wondering if it’s any good? I’m dying for Chinese food buffet that is not the Mandarin. Oh how I missed the dragon in Barrie

My partner and I are in our mid-twenties and thinking of moving to Orillia from the GTA.

We spend most of our long weekends camping and outdoors, but want to experience it more and having the area north of lake simcoe in our backyard is so exciting. Assuming there are pretty minimal career opportunities in Orilia, commuting to work in Barrie is a more realistic option. For reference I work in construction management / civil engineering. My partner in healthcare.

Of course housing prices are a big factor. A small crammed condo apartment down here costs more than a beautiful cozy renovated bungalow with yard space up there.

Has anyone made a similar move? In our age demographic? And how has it worked out for you?

Can anyone suggest where the nest parking option for Mariposa is? We are attending on Sunday and I've heard from friends today that parking is a challenge.

We’re taking a trip in August to Orillia to meet up with a friend who is from the area, but he may only be available afternoons and evenings. So want to be prepared to entertain a 3 year old and a 1 year old (and my wife) for 4 days in town.

Best place for car tints in Orillia?

Hey folks,
I’m a 42 year old Orillia resident, living with some challenges like PTSD. I’ve been struggling lately and my apartment has gotten messier than I can manage on my own.

Could anyone recommend a cleaning service that would do a one time deep clean? It’s a tiny studio apartment and I mostly need help with bathroom/fridge. I’m 2 years out of homelessness and have been working very hard to rebuild so if possible I’d be looking for someone who offers subsidized rates, or a payment plan. Bonus if they’re compassionate about people who hit a hard patch and let cleaning go.
