hello all! i got these super cute sticker sheets at Otakon 2026 but they don’t have the artist’s handle on them! anyone recognize them?
First time that's ever happened! I initially booked the Comfort Inn through the Otakon web site but changed it in Feb this year when a better hotel became available (and I changed from that second hotel to a third hotel even after that a few months later). I'm going through this month's charges and I see that the Comfort Inn charged me over $200 even though I cancelled literally months before the May 4 deadline. I missed it since I confused it with my main initial hotel charge but luckily I went over my credit card statement again and caught it. So I'll be disputing this of course but wanted to warn others to be aware of this!

A little late but I drew a comic about my experience vending at Otakon (or should I say after Otakon lol). So many people from Reddit stopped by my artist alley table and I’m very thankful 🥹

This year was the first time I took part in a cosplay Photo meet-up, and it was truly the best time! Idk if it's this positive and fun at all cosplay meet-ups or if this fanbase just rocks in general, but it was truly such a blast. Props to the meet-up coordinator who kept it light and silly! I have more to share in the comments as well because my husband and I took so many photos but I hope at least one person who was there is able to steal a photo of themselves here as I have not seen any more offical photos circulating anywhere yet...
By the way not the final result for anyone asking.
My cohosts Basil and Anna were at Otakon a few weeks ago and got a moment to chat with Koji and Foxclon about their experiences working on the game for so long. Koji gives book recommendations! We learn how Foxclon takes his coffee! The crew also chat about the FFXIV panels they attended.

Seen a few of these, figure it's worth a shot. This happened on Friday afternoon, in the Dealer's Hall. I was looking at Umamusume figures, and you told me I should "get into horse girls", before seeing I was cosplaying as the trainer from that series. You asked my favorite (Super Creek), told me yours (Maruzensky), and said you'd be doing an Agnes Tachyon cosplay on Saturday. Unfortunately I was too focused on shopping in the moment, and didn't continue the conversation, much to my later regret. Definitely feel like I missed out on making a new friend.
It's a long shot, but here's hoping you or someone who knows you sees this. If nothing else, I'd love to see how the cosplay turned out.
I'd like to hear your ideas on what otakon should/could do to fit the theme.
They could have a trick or treat area in the guild hall or maybe in a corner of the dealers room for teens to adults while the kids get a goodie bags in the otachan room.
A yokai scavenger hunt
The artists (if they want to) can have a limited trick or treat merch. The treat could be a nice summerween item while the trick could be..idk something weird or funny 🤔
I was thinking we could decorate our hotel doors for our own few hour trick or treat event but I don't think it's safe and the hotel will fuss about it 🙅♀️
