r/Otherpaw

I started working on my first mask, what animal do you think it will be!

Any advice/feedback is very welcome. This is my first mask so I am going in a little blind.

I know the musle is a mess, I'm gonna put a nose over it to cover most of the scrunching.

First post, and my first mask!!

Hiya!! My name is Koda, I'm an adult, and I quite literally came to the realization that I'm OtherPaw today, after thinking I was a furry for quite some time (I'm probably both but I'm predominantly OtherPaw). After doing that research, I also decided to try making a mask for the first time! It's kind of a mix between a doberman and a fox, which wasn't what I intended for, but I had a cereal box, some scraps, a hot glue gun, and an idea, so all things considered I think it turned out great! Anyways, hiiii!!!!

making a new mask for quads cuz the old one was too heavy (what species/breed does it look like?)

just posting my progress. no template or anything, fits relatively well and is prolly gonna be insanely lighter than the old one. its good for bipedal wear but terrible for quick quadrupedal movement.

the main goal of this mask is to make it as light and as durable as possible... while also accounting for the parkour rolls i like to do; which would absolutely ruin the ears of the old one. these ears will be very secure but stretchy material to avoid anything cracking/ breaking off.

only thing im unsure of is what species it would be? specifically? breed? i have no idea what to do for the fur of this.

Tips for mask

I'm trying to paint my mask, and I'm not entirely sure how to. I know people say to mix acrylic and water but I don't know how much to add before it gets too watery. Can anyone help or give some other alternatives?

What mask should I make next?

I’m looking to get better at making masks but have trouble deciding what to make. If someone or multiple people want to give me an animal or design, I’d love to make it! I can use real life animal pictures as well as drawings. Here’s my current skill level.
