Wondering whether to go as a solo female traveller?

Hey everyone! I’m debating going to the festival, it looks amazing, but I don’t know anyone that likes the artists like I do (smh). I’m tempted to go but I’m wondering how solo traveler friendly it is? I’m decently social but not sure how easy it will be to meet people and whether people are open to that. Any tips or thoughts? Be honest pls

Festival Days & Themes

Hey future friends -

We are veterans of Phish @ Riviera Maya, so we know the Moon Palace experience. Are there coordinated theme days, sticker exchanges or anything else that’s coordinated in celebration of one heck of a musical weekend?

Let’s ramp it up.

What do we think the event capacity is? Curious what crowds to expect if it actually sells out.

I would've guessed 2500-3000 with 1.3k rooms in Sunrise and not all of them going to concert guests.

It hasn't felt like more than maybe 1200 people past years, but I might be estimating since the venue has so much room to spread out.

I could see myself still having a good experience if the crowd doubles, but it would definitely be different

Making friends

Hello!

This will be my wife’s and is third year! Every year we say it would be cool to meet friends and have some people to hang out with! Makes it easy to save spots and pass time between the sets. Just seeing if anyone out there is looking for some people to hang out with down on the beach!

Flights

Question from a first timer hoping to go this year!

Any advice on best time to purchase flights? I could only swing convincing my friends to do the 4 day package so also wondering what arrival time I should be looking at when booking flights. Any other advice you have would be appreciated ❤️

I’ve been stalking this sub Reddit for days to gather information lol

Attending Pregnant

We're considering going next year but I may be pregnant then if our timing works out for baby #2. I'm not super pumped about doing all inclusive pregnant(have done pregnant before and it's just a bummer to not be able to drink ha).

I'm wondering about the shows, bathroom access, sitting down, etc. I also did a music festival pregnant last go round and was very happy to have VIP for bathroom access and air conditioning.

Should I expect to have to stand for a long time without going to the bathroom to get anywhere near the stage or is it more chill than that? Any advice or wisdom is appreciated!

3rd year alum here. Thought I would start a "general info/tip" thread for all the newbies

If you are a newbie you are probably as confused as I was 3 years ago on the logisitics of this festival so I thought I would start a thread with my alumni knowledge to help out and maybe other alumni can chime in as well.

  1. This is NOT your normal 4 day music festival. Yes, it is EXPENSIVE! Yes, you will read on socials that the locals are not happy with Noah because of the cost and that they can't afford to go. Yes, it is 100% worth it if it is in your budget. Those of us who have attended the last 2-3 years have been spoiled with relatively very small crowds which makes this such an amazing festival. I unfortunately DO NOT think it will be that way this year as Noah's new album and the incredible lineup will draw a lot more people. That being said it will still be an incredible experience and still a very, very intimate setting to be able to see these artists (hence the price tag).
  2. We have stayed both years in the 2 adjoining rooms package (there are 4 of us), one year at Sunrise and one year at the Venue location. The Venue was cool because we could hear soundchecks from our balcony. Both of those locations were great though and the room layout was the exact same. Each room came with a fridge that was stocked with sodas, beers, and they actually have 4-5 different liquor bottles in a dispenser which I thought was cool. These two options are going to be the closest to everything options

If you are looking for a "quieter" area then look at booking The Grand or the golf course. Keep in mind you will need to take a shuttle or jump a golf cart with a staff member to get to where the festival stages/activities are if you stay at either of these places.

  1. Food options are a plenty. You couldn't make dinner reservations until you arrived and gained access to the app the last couple of years. Not sure if they will change that. We would usually do pool shows (2-4 PM), head home to take a quick shower and then venture to dinner before the main venue opened at 6:30. There is PLENTY of food options in the main venue area as well!

We love the golf course restaurant. It's nice to go over there and take pictures because that area of the resort is beautiful. You will need a reservation for that.

  1. The breakfast area in the Sunrise/Venue gets very, very busy. They have a little bakery that you can get some food/coffee from but last year we were waiting 30-45 mins for that. I really hope they figure out another option for this year because that was one of the disappointing things for us.

  2. The main pool where the 2 daily pool shows take place is accessible by ANYONE who is staying at Moon Palace. This is the only other complaint I have about the weekend. It is really annoying to have people with no wristbands on crowding into the pool saying "oh man this is so awesome we had no idea that this was happening!!!" when you have a wristband on that you paid a premium for.

So that being said, if you would like a lounger in the main pool area expect to be getting up at 6AM and heading to the pool. Hopefully the resort does a better job of policing the rule of "no saving seats with towels". If you don't care about a spot to sit and keep your stuff the pool itself is massive. You will have no problems finding spots to just wade around sipping on drinks.

  1. I suggest to at least arrive on Wednesday and then leave Monday or Tuesday, especially if you are looking at an excursion off property. Your days Thurs-Sun will be packed with plenty of festival activities and you don't want to risk flying in on Thursday and getting delayed and missing stuff.

When arriving in Cancun, you will have transportation already included in your package. You should receive a QR code prior and that is what you will show the staff when you get out to the buses. The Cancun airport is a bit chaotic. You will go through customs and then enter an area that will have a TON of people trying to get you to taxi with them. Walk all the way past them until you get outside and then find the people with the Out of the Blue signs. They will escort you to buses. They actually offer you drinks for purchase which is nice for the ride over. The ride takes about 20 mins or so.

  1. The check-in process at the resort was pretty streamlined last year and moved quickly. The bus drops you off and they will guide you directly in to the check-in line so no need to worry about getting lost. Drinks and some snacks are provided for you will you wait in line which is awesome. They will check you in, give you your appropriate wristbands and then a staff member will eventually bring your luggage to your room for you.

The first year we went we were talked into taking a tour of the resort with the promise of resort credit and a pass to go and use the amenities at the Grand for one day. Unless you want to spend 3 hours and get into THE BIGGEST pressure sales of your life I do NOT suggest doing it. The will try to sell you membership to the Moon Palace resorts and they do not go easy on you lol.

When you are checking out there is an option on the app to request them to come and grab your luggage. They will take it over to where the buses pick you up for your transportation back to the airport. Everything is very well run and timed appropriately for your flights.

  1. After you purchase your package they will eventually open up the Dashboard. This year they said it will be available earlier. The dashboard is where you will input all your guest information, including your flight information so they can coordinate your travel to and from the airport.

  2. Late shows (one each night) start about 30 mins after the closer on the main stage. The stage for the late show is back near the main pool, about a 10 min walk. It is a smaller area and also accessible to anyone at the resort so if you really are looking forward to getting a good view of the late show act I would recommend leaving the main stage a little early.

Ok I am going to end this long post lol. If I think of anything else I will edit. And if any other alumni want to chime in please do so we can help out the newbies!

TL:DR If you can afford this festival fucking send it!! IT.....IS.....AWESOME

Noah & Friends: mostly covers again, or new album collabs?

Curious what people are expecting and / or hoping for.

The Friends set was a ton of fun last year, but with so much new music out I kinda want to see him play as much of his own catalogue as possible, and there are so many great fits, like doing Downfall with Hayley again of course, maybe End of August with The Head & The Heart, I could see Headed North with Mt Joy, etc

How much luck with proximity requests?

This is our first year booking two rooms - wondering if they really will put us as close together as possible if we make the request, or if it's just the luck of the draw.

How many artists to we think are TBA? 4-5

Last year I believe we ended up with 15 artists, 10 included the original announcement. All the teases for more TBA make it sound like this is more the status queue then years 1-2, with 11-12 artists, and only 1-2 last minute additions.

Schedule of acts

Hi! We are thinking about coming this year for the first time. In addition to Noah, we are huge Gregory Alan Isakov fans. How often, in general, would he play over the 4 days? Is it guaranteed more than once or do some artists just do one longer show? Thanks!

Amigo

My wife and I are trying to book Noah Kahan’s Out of the Blue for 2027 and would be incredibly grateful if any alum has an unused Amigo Code they’re willing to share. We’re ready to book immediately at presale. Please DM me if you have one — thank you so much!

Booking for 2 but unsure if friend can come

Hey! I just have a quick question for you lovely people. I was originally going to book a room for myself, but a friend from work expressed interest in joining me. If I book the room for both of us but then she isn't able to come will that cause any issues for me? Thanks!

Will it sell out?

First year trying to go, and we don’t have an amigo code. We are looking at the cheaper packages but wondering if those will be the first to sell out before general sale goes live. Does anyone know if it has sold out quickly in the past or if it is possible to get a cheaper room without a code?
Thanks!
