What’s happening? Why can’t I send emails??

As I can’t seem to attach a photo on here, when I try to send emails currently I get an email saying:

DELIVERY HAS FAILED TO THESE RECIPIENTS OR GROUPS This message couldn't be delivered because the sending email address was not recognized as a valid sender. The most common reason for this error i-that the email address is, or was, suspected of sending spam. Contact th organization's email admin for help and give them this error message.

This started happening after I sent 5 consecutive emails to different people. What do I do as I really need to keep emailing people haha. Who do u contact or will this fix itself in the morning?

Authentication Madness

The requirement to add a second email(to an email address that I have already added a second email) before I'm even allowed to log in has locked me out of accessing my mail.

I attempt to log in, prove I'm not a bot, authenticate my phone, it requests that I add a second email - I add the email. I go to log in to the second email, prove I'm not a bot, authenticate my phone, it requests that I add a second email....I add a second email to that email, prove I'm not a bot, authenticate my phone, it requests that I add a second email.

Attempt to create an entirely new email account.
Bot check refuses to work.

All I tried to do was log into my Spotify account(which in turn sent an authentication code to my mail). I am now literally unable to access any of my personal email accounts.

What is Kafka's name is the point of this ridiculous exercise in data mining?

Account hack attempts? Should I be concerned?

I have 2FA applied to my Hotmail account, and overnight there were multiple attempts to log in to my account that triggered 2FA requests on my phone.

I use the Microsoft Authenticator app, so I would have needed to open the app and choose the number etc or deny it.

I had about 8 requests over a 90 minute period during the night…

Has my password been compromised? Or is it something else?

Any advice / opinions welcomed!

Authentication profile issues

Over the last week I have gotten random authentication required asking for approval on my device. I deny it but each time I've gone in verified my profile made sure that it had my phone number, my email, etc. But I have six approved logins from a certain phone number that isn't on my profile and never has been and they've all been approved using that number. I tried to do screenshots but only get a black screen so I can't even share it to show you guys but at the bottom it does say My email from China on Windows. I've worked with computers for years, but I find things that I don't know every single day and most the time whether it be MS or someone else. It's typically a glitch in they're on security matrix, but I just don't know. It doesn't look right. A handful of approved sign ins. What appears to be from a phone number not associated with my account. Any help would be appreciated

Help

I was hacked last night and I can’t get back into my account. Every time I try to verify with the last 4 digits of my phone number(they ask for the first 2 of them) it says it can’t verify it that way. I have no other way of getting in? What do I do?

Outlook Loss of password

I have submitted 2 of the account recovery request forms with no reply from Microsoft. I posted a few days ago looking for a number, and no one was able to help. Is there any thing I can do or just consider the account lost (It's my MIL and I haven't been able to convince her to just make a new one). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

2FA ISSUE AND I CANNOT USE MY PHONE NUMBER TO GET A SMS CODE IT’S GIVING AN ERROR

I really need help recovering my Xbox/Microsoft account. I know the email, password history, recovery info, old devices, gamertag, and basically everything that proves the account is mine, but because I had 2FA enabled I can’t get past the verification process.

I had the Microsoft Authenticator on my old iPhone XR, but it got destroyed beyond repair. Now every time I try to log in, it sends the verification request to the Authenticator app on that phone, which is no longer active or accessible.

I no longer have access to the authenticator/backup method, and Microsoft’s recovery system keeps rejecting me or sending me in circles. I’ve already tried the account recovery form multiple times.

Has anyone here successfully recovered an account in a situation like this? Is there any way to contact a real person at Microsoft support who can manually verify ownership?

I’ve spent years on this account and I’m trying not to lose everything. Any advice would seriously help.

Outlook account logged out, password reset, unable to log back in

Is Outlook actually fully broken right now? My account keeps randomly logging me out, then when I sign in (with the correct password) it tells me my password is wrong. Then when I try to reset my password it tells me that I can't reset my password even though I have access to both 2FA methods (email and phone number).

Is the news gonna pick this up?

As you know a lot of us are locked out of accounts. It’s really frustrating. But I was wondering with all the talk we have been doing on Reddit. You would think Microsoft will be urgent to fix this or address it. Does it have to reach the news at this point to get shit fixed? Cus I’m frustrated like the rest of you. I need access to my email and yet they give us the run around

My outlook got hacked

I keep getting notifs from outlook said im sending too many mails which i dont. When i checked my junk and my sent its almost 70k spams and they send 100+ every minutes. I turned on the login with phone number, change passwords, log out of every devices… but it keeps spamming. Idk what to do because this mail is for school works so its very important :( can anyone give me tips on stopping this

Can I block domains that contain a phrase?

My junk mail is chock-full of spam/phishing emails. When possible I block the domains themselves and that has decreased the volume, but currently I'm getting a lot of emails from domains that are similar but not identical. For example, these are domains currently in my inbox:

cvdaptqskystoria. online

1gmf8v7skystoria. online

b4ssebfskystoria. online

jr3tfdcskystoria. online

94357nuskystoria. online

Clearly "skystoria dot online" is the underlying culprit, but each email comes from a slightly different domain. The same thing is happening with "bestyofr dot store" and "firebaseapp dot com." Is there a way I can block every email that contains a root domain, or do I just have to keep blocking each individual one?

Urgent help as I have been hacked

A month ago i bought my little brother a laptop and it was registered using my emails. On 14th May he pirated a copy of resident evil and on the same day I had a login attempt made which the scammer deleted from my inbox so i did not see the notification. Yesterday I found a draft in my inbox sent from my account with a threat demanding money(bitcoin) in exchange for keeping my privacy (i am aware this part is a scam/not true). My issue is that the scammer has logged onto my outlook using a mobile device - i have tried resetting the password but it does not kick you out of the mobile app (not even me).

I have reset all my passwords - used sign out of all devices - reported it to authorities but no one can help me or believe me.

I know they are in there as they have been leaving scam phishing emails with threats for money.

Ive checked for rules to see if it was automated but nothing i see.

Please could I have some help on how to get rid of them -I have money tied up in the account and I cannot afford to delete it.

How would you create a search folder for emails that you sent and never got a reply back and another for emails that you received but never replied to???

This feels like it should be so simple. Having these two folders would make my work so much easier. I can’t find the right field to flag the emails to automatically sort into a folder. It seems like it should be done since there is a symbol marking emails that you’ve replied to.

Guys, i think Microsoft is getting hacked and they still not want to admit it

I live in Europe. I have received 3 times unauthorized emails of one single use code in my security emailed linked with my Microsoft account at 4 am early morning when most working people are sleeping that time.

Luckily im using a gmail account as security email because the chance those hackers could hack into google database is smaller.

So when will Microsoft come up with a statement because it's not only happening to me, 2 of my colleagues are also having this issue. What is the chance that 3 people in the office have same issue, come on Microsoft, be more transparent.

Gmail to Outlook

I have a microsfoft 365 subscription which gives me substantial amount of cloud storage. Now most of my emails are stored on my gmail and I'm running out of storage over there. The idea is I want to somehow be able to store these emails on outlook which can be backed up and so I can delete them off of Gmail and save space there. Ideally, I would want to be able to retrieve and read my emails on outlook from whichever device my Microsoft account is logged into. Is this possible?

Password incorrect. Reset password. 12h later password incorrect

So over the last 4 days I have had to reset my password 4 times.
Each time I know my password is correct, I’ve tried them on different devices and networks etc.
first day I got locked out so I couldn’t even reset it and had to wait 24h for my mobile to be unlocked for 2fa.
When I reset my password it worked immediately and I can login to everything, but by that afternoon or the next morning the password is ‘incorrect’ again.
I contacted Microsoft and they basically just said to change my password and to add an extra 2fa so I don’t have to use my mobile, and to set up a passcode so I can bypass passwords altogether. However this doesn’t fix the issue at all, and it also doesn’t affect the ability to login the mail app on iOS or my Xbox as I need the enter the password directly to access them.
Honestly at my wit’s end - I’m currently on bed rest and having to reset my password every morning to play Xbox is pissing me off.

Weird sync issue

I am having a weird issue that I can't seem to sort out.

I always use Outlook desktop, but I need to use online for the first time in years. I signed in without issue, but the problem is that no new emails have shown up.

The date of the most recent email is July 2024

Any idea on how to fix this? I have tried everything Google and the forums have suggested but it seems like this is a very uncommon issue.

Thank you!

2FA Loop

I genuinely feel like I’m losing my mind over this Microsoft account situation and I’m hoping someone here has gone through something similar.

A few days ago my Microsoft account suddenly started giving me:
“Try another verification method”
whenever I try to use SMS verification.

Important details:
- the account is NOT suspended
- Microsoft support told me the account itself looks fine
- my recovery email still receives codes normally
- my phone number is still attached to the account
- only SMS verification seems blocked/unavailable

The situation became a complete nightmare because:
- my main Microsoft account recovery email is my secondary Microsoft account
- and the secondary account recovery email is the main one

So I accidentally created a circular dependency between both accounts.

To make things even worse:
- I forgot the password to the secondary account
- the account recovery form for it already got rejected
- and before realizing all this, I started the 30-day security info replacement process on the main account pointing to the secondary account

Now I’m terrified that:
- when SMS finally works again,
- Microsoft will ask for BOTH the phone code and the secondary email code,
- and I’ll still be locked out because I can’t access the second account.

I’ve seen a lot of Reddit posts saying:
- waiting 5–7 days with zero activity helped
- repeated attempts make it worse
- and eventually the SMS verification started working again

What I really want to know is:

  1. Has anyone had the “Try another verification method” issue fix itself after several days?
  2. When it finally worked, did Microsoft still require BOTH recovery methods?
  3. Did the 30-day security replacement process make things worse?
  4. Has anyone escaped a circular recovery-email situation like this?

Honestly this has been mentally exhausting. I have years of purchases, accounts and services connected to this Microsoft account and I feel completely trapped.

I also managed to get a hold of two live agente but they can’t do anything…

I cannot log into Outlook with any method possible. I need to access my emails. What is going on?!

Every time I go to try to log into my Outlook account, every option is giving me errors. I try to use my password, which is 100% correct, I just get an error saying "You've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect account or password". This was working a week ago and now the error keeps coming up.

I do have my phone number linked to my account, but when I choose the option to send a verification code to my phone, it just brings me so a screen saying "Verify another way, that method isn't working right now."

What do you mean that method isn't working right now?! There's literally no other methods presented to me, neither my legit password, nor phone number are working, it's all just giving me errors and I need to get into my email account!

Has anyone found any way to solve this issue?
