Thinking about Yuu and Rigr

>!I just thought of something. In a way, it turns out that Rigr and Yuu kill their loved ones to protect each other.!<

>!I understand that Rigr killed Urd not only because Urd wanted to kill Yuu, but also to stop Rigr himself, but still, that's the basic idea. Just like Shinoa's squad was aiming to kill Rigr, and Yuu fights them and kills them to protect Rigr and their shared goal.!<

>!I really like this, considering they're so closely connected by their past and set this story in motion.!<

*The picture speaks for itself*

Chapter 157 not only exposed many people with double standards, making judgments without reading the story, but also revealed those who are blind.

WHY YUU IS DETERMINED WITH THE RESURRECTION PLAN.

RESURRECTION IS A POSSIBLE EVENT; AS LONG AS IT'S POSSIBLE, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE PEOPLE HOPING FOR IT.

Some people mistakenly believe Yuu is unaware of the consequences and that resurrection is futile. However, the protagonist and everyone in the story are well aware of the severe consequences of doing so, not indifferent or delusional as some people claim. They are even prepared to face death, yet they still do it because the benefits are immense. And when there are benefits, no matter how crazy it is, people will still accept the consequences.

It sounds crazy, but if you say they're trying to prolong the lives of their loved ones at all costs, to spare them sorrow and suffering, it's much easier to accept.

Begging and pleading.

Praying to God and Buddha.

Accepting exploitation.

Being experimented on, being trampled upon.

Saving lives, killing lives.

Sacrificing their lives, doing everything possible, but nothing worked.

You might say it's due to overwhelming greed, and that's true, but in his first life, Yuu (Angel Michael) chose the death so that his father and the angels could return to God. He was afraid of pain, afraid of death, yet he still chose to sacrifice, but it was all in vain. His father still suffered, the angels were still punished, and humanity was created in a continuous cycle of reincarnation with no escape. God didn't accept them.

He had done everything he could, so in the end, he chose to resist, to sacrifice himself against God so that everyone could be freed from that cycle. You can look at it from many angles, but Yuuichirou was truly desperate. What better path did he have at this moment? To abandon those he loved and continue living? Mikaela would remain a demon forever, Shikama too, and then he would be reborn. Would this pain ever end?

What is right, what is wrong?

If we look at the story from a different perspective, knowing that he is not human but an unforgivable being, trapped in an endless cycle like a prison, with his loved ones suffering and dying, would he still think like he did when he was human? It's hard to say. To the angels, human existence is incredibly fragile and fleeting. Will the moment they learn of their past, will their value remain the same as it was at the beginning?

NOTHING GUARANTEES SUCCESS, BUT NOTHING GUARANTEES FAILURE EITHER.

The angels have fallen, the vampires, the demons, and humanity all have no chance of returning to God. Now they walk a path of no return, no forgiveness. Even if they stop, they don't know how much longer they have to live because punishment is about to come. So, will you choose to enjoy the last moments of peace before the storm hits, or will you risk everything to cling to hope for salvation for everyone?

As Yuu said, at least they tried; if they failed, they would die.

And even in death, he didn't give up.

He will start again, he will find a way to save those he loves.

EXONERATION FOR EVERYONE.

What is a paintable scene from Owari no Seraph?

Hi there! So, I've never actually watched or read Owari no Seraph, but my brother has seen it and he told me it's his favourite anime. His birthday is coming up and I'm thinking of painting or drawing a scene from this anime on either the back of a T-shirt or a poster. Can anyone tell me an episode and time in the anime when the scenery just looks splendid? Like, maybe when the characters are facing their backs to the camera and the background is gorgeous? I would prefer if there are no visible faces in the shot since I'm horrible at drawing people. Thanks in advance!

(Spoiler) Yuu and Shinoa had a lot of parallels this chap

but the final one is the most interesting. Bc you notice how Yuu is more determined to continue meanwhile Shinoa looks ready to give up after losing Mitsuba

I just saw the original version sent by my friend, and this is the strongest evidence that Yuu doesn't love Shinoa and Mika's words were a mean.

I just saw the original version sent by my friend, and this is the strongest evidence that Yuu doesn't love Shinoa and Mika's words were a mean joke.

The phrase "don't you dare to fall in love" in the raw version is "やっぱ あんな女と 恋愛したら だめだよ 優ちゃん"

In which:

やっぱ: That's right / As expected.

あんな女と: with that kind of girl.

恋愛したら: if you fall in love.

だめだよ: That's not right / It's not okay.

Translated as "It's definitely not a good idea to be in a relationship with a girl like that, Yuu-chan."

In this sentence, Mika uses the structure 「Vたら + だめだ」 which in conversation is usually understood as a hypothetical situation to advise or warn, something like "don't do that, it's not good," rather than affirming that the action has happened or is happening. Therefore, this sentence is clearly just a warning and doesn't say Yuu has, is, or will love Shinoa (what "captain" would sink their own ship like that? :)))

Furthermore, we also have Yuu's attitude. Remember, previously when Mika acted rudely towards Shinoa, Yuu scolded Mika for it being bad behavior. But in this panel, Mika used very negative words to describe Shinoa as "やーな女 : A hateful/unpleasant girl" and "あんな女と: with that kind of girl," and instead of scolding Mika or defending Shinoa, Yuu laughed "Ahaha," without blushing, feeling embarrassed, or flustered. Then he even asked them what they should do to deal with Shinoa (he planned to kill Shinoa and her friends). Excuse me, is this the attitude of a "boyfriend"?

Not to mention, don't use the excuse that Yuu didn't deny it. He rejected Shinoa's confession, abandoned her, and instead of spending the little time he had with her, he spent it with his "best friend"... and now he's even planning to kill her. If Yuu and Noa can still be canon at this point, then either Shinoa is crazy or Kagami is crazy.

I know I've played this game before.

I know I've played this game before.

Previously, we had:

- Guren loves Mahiru.

 • Shinya is Guren's best friend, caring for and understanding him the most.
 • Shinya used to like Mahiru, but after meeting Guren, he loves Guren even more.

And then Mahiru, the woman he loves, heartlessly killed Guren's most important friend for personal gain (she wanted to force Guren to perform the resurrection ritual).

- But after all that, Guren still loves her and wants to save Mahiru.

Now we have:

 • Shinoa loves Yuu.
 • Mitsuba is Shinoa's best friend, caring for and understanding him the most.
 • Although Mitsuba also likes Yuu, she loves Shinoa more.

And then Yuu, the person Shinoa loves, heartlessly killed Mitsuba for personal gain (they interfered with his plan).

 • But Shinoa still loves Yuu and wants to save him?

Are there too many coincidences here (Except that Mahiru loves Guren and Yuu doesn't love Shinoa), or did the author intentionally do this?

The author's satirical joke in chapter 157 about Yuu and Shinoa (Spoiler for chapter 157)

Why are people so afraid of YuuNoa becoming canon after this chapter? From what I've read, I'm even more certain that if they become canon, Kagami needs to be admitted to a mental hospital for treatment 😭

Firstly, Mika saying "...That girl is bad news, don't you dare to fall in love" is just a warning about a possible future scenario, not the present, If it were the present, he would have said something like, "You're fallen in love with her " not with the expression and tone of a worried mother fearing her little daughter might fall in love with some guy later on, warning her that he's terrible and telling her not to love him 😭

Not to mention, when Yuu heard that, he smiled, didn't blush, wasn't embarrassed, didn't agree, and didn't refuse, completely different from the typical tropes of characters who say they don't love someone but actually do.

So this clearly proves that Yuu currently doesn't love Shinoa (and certainly won't in the future after everything he's done). Mika's statement is actually because he cares a lot about Shinoa loving Yuu and fears Yuu will fall in love with Shinoa back (bro, Yuu said he wouldn't live without him 🤣). But if you think about it, Mika's statement is a joke by the author because Mika is saying what we think: that Shinoa is bad, and whether Yuu suddenly falls in love with Shinoa because this is a Shounen Manga. Even though the story has clearly reached a point of no return, are we still afraid of YuuNoa becoming canon?

I just want this to end already

I've been a fan of Ons since 2015. I even got a tattoo of Mika on my Forearm (to show my dedication) but i want this series to finally end already. Every chapter is more and more confusing and more Moody than my own BPD splits 💀 Everyone and everything is changing their minds every few pages. I don't even know how it'll end bc the author is being extremely unpredictable atp. Wouldn't be surprised if Yuu does resurrect everyone and the last pages will show everyone living normal happy lives in the "new" world and us readers will be left exhausted and happy its finally over instead of sad

Spoilers of chapter 157 would kill anime-only fans

>!Guren, Krul or Ferid dying would surprise them, but Yuu fucking killing Mitsuba? Going through with killing his friends AT ALL? Anime Yuu could never even imagine! He'd probably wonder why he didn't just kill himself before getting to that point. !<

Chapter 157 Ramble

I have to say, this chapter surprised me a lot... what the FUCK will happen in the final chapters?? Yapping and overanalyzing below:

I did NOT expect Yuu to kill anyone besides Yoichi and Kimizuki, the ones with the sinful keys. I'd understand if he targeted Shinoa too, since she's the only one with enough power to stop them on her own, but Mitsuba??? This makes me think that they'll start eliminating by power level AND closeness to Yuu (lowest to highest, more as a narrative path). And the next target is tricky since not only are both Yoichi and Kimizuki kinda equally close to Yuu, but he doesn't know about Yoichi's new power. As far as Yuu knows, Yoichi is weaker in close combat but more in touch with his demon, while Kimizuki is barely catching up with demon sync but specializes in close combat. Maybe Kimizuki since the power gap between him and Yoichi is bigger. And Shinoa'd be the last with that logic. Either way it's gonna be MESSY.

I liked the parallel between Yuu and Shinoa. They are both regretting their actions when it's already too late, and they have someone desperately trying to pull them out of their grief and hesitation to essentially Lock TF In (Mika and Yoichi), because none of them can afford not to. And tbf, for Shinoa's team, even if they succeed, it's still depressing af. They won't bring Mitsuba back, and they'll have to live with that loss, and any other loss, because of what they stand for. Yuu's success is the best case scenario (ignoring all the catastrophic consequences of bringing billions back to life when the current population is starving, but I'll ignore it if we get a happy ending 🤣), but having to kill ALL his friends, not only the ones with sinful keys? He's already breaking 💔

I hope this doesn't try to make Mika the bad guy "who's pressuring Yuu to kill his friends". He tried to talk Yuu out of it every step of the way. Now that Yuu killed Mitsuba, there's no turning back. It'd be the worst thing to turn back now, for Mitsuba and for all who have died before her, and Mika knows that.

And Saito... what's that guy going to do??? I expected him to be vaporized by Shinoa, so I gotta give him credit for staying alive for one more chapter. I thought he'd have the biggest death flag, being the last vampire and all. He's still OP, and Shinoa, who's also OP, is in shambles. She just lost the only person she ever actually opened up to. Will she gain power from that loss, just like Yuu who's lost everyone? That might have been the last piece she needed to understand herself, fears and desires better. WHO KNOWSSSS AAAAGHHHH

Anyway, I really do wonder how this will all wrap up and I'm super intrigued. Still, Mika's very much deserved happy ending looks further away every chapter... I just want him to be happy 😭 Him having a happy ending means everyone else is ok, so they need to secure his good ending 😭😭😭
