Obviously in purely factual terms, 2-2 at home vs newly promoted isn’t great, and how we played from about minute 20 to 70 wasn’t either . . And yet, left the stadium more excited about being a yellow than I’ve felt for years, purely on the basis of what, if everything goes right, those youngsters could be. Harris was dreadful (big whoop) and Goodram was never anywhere near anything, and Dembele was Dembele-ing and it doesn’t matter one bit to me cos, there might be something brewing here with their replacements. Ridiculously early days I know, buuut . . couldn’t help but feel it.

Since it seems likely that Mark Harris will be our starting striker this season, how many do you think he will score in all competitions? Considering that he scored 20 in the season that we got promoted and we did only just get play offs, on paper, it could be around that. However, I think he is not the same player he was, having huge goal droughts since promotion. I reckon about 13, and not scoring goals will be a big problem for us.
