When Punpun takes place.

When Punpun takes place.

Near the end of the manga the birthday of Soara Onodera is 7/7/11. This is before the timeskip at the very end, and I assume Punpun is 22 post-timeskip (looking at the fandom page and punpun wiki).

Asuming this is the case, the storyline starts with Punpun aged 11 in the year 2002 and ends around 2013 (matches the end of the mangas serialization) with him aged 22.

This would also mean Punpun was born in 1991.

(Correct me if I'm wrong pls)

recommend pls

okay so I've read and loved vagabond, slam dunk, sanctuary, oyasumi punpun and blood on the tracks.

yea that's all, im new to manga's

i recently finished over 60 chapters of 20th century boys and it just isn't clicking with me like I wanna know a few things nd want some answers but I just don't feel like reading it, it feels forced and veryy slow paced, and I'm also very curious about billy bat, nd thinking about starting it.

so, should I like drop 20th cb or stick around or start billy bat

based on what I've read, if someone out there has the same taste as me, I would love your recommendation on what I should do or any other manga that I should try

MY BRAIN SQUIRTED OUT OF MY WEINER !

Goodnight Punpun follows the life experiences of Punpun Onodera, a young boy living in Japan, as well as a few of his friends. The story follows Punpun as he grows up, dividing it into approximately four stages of his life: elementary school, middle school, high school, and his early twenties.

Source here for crazy people who want this a lot…

I just wanna say that you are not alone

Anyone who relates to this, dont feel like you are the only person who felt all this bad kinda way. I have seen a lot of people who behave so but are just not aware enough that they are such a person with ill behaviour. Even me I'm a person who thinks alot of bad stuff it doesn't mean we are all bad people, we are people who are aware of ourselves through this work or so many other influences which made us realise through this, I've always felt like a really bad person all my life eventhough I am always doing my best to change my behaviour so just dont get depressed after reading this and reflecting upon yourself feel bad but change yourself. These are actually stuffs I wanted to hear thats why im sharing this so you guys are not alone.

My 11 year old sister drew this

I was completely shocked, when I was just making some coffee starting off my day. And she showed me this.

Does anyone else see the parallels between Bear and Punpun?

Bear from Obsession eerily reminds me so much of Punpun Punyama. Both characters spiral into self-destruction because of their unaddressed internal trauma, unhealthy obsessions, and the unrealistic expectations they force onto the people they obsess over.
