I originally put this together because my new-to-me xfive wasn't shooting reliably (firing pin safety lever was out of spec), so I threw the slide on a p226x frame. It's been perfect for about 8k rounds of 147 and 124gr reloads at about 130pf. The 3dPrintedGunGear magwell works great with TTI extensions, the standard DASA trigger was adjusted to my liking and is plenty fast for me, and the gun just works well when I do my part.
I pulled my new P226 Ellite apart to install a short reach trigger tonight.
I was very surprised to see that the trigger the 226 shipped with is adjustable.
The OEM short reach trigger I installed is not adjustable. Are there adjustable short reach triggers available from SIG?
Started this one out last year as a base scorpion. Got the pro cut slide, RMR HD, X 300 and then send it to Grayguns for the full treatment 😎
Is there anyone that makes brass grips for the p226 da/sa?
Good evening gents (and ladies if there are any). I have a quick question. A few months back I did a p226 conversion where I took a 40 cal DAK police trade in and converted it to DA/SA 9mm with a new slide, barrel and recoil spring. I’ve taken it to the range a few times and every time, it’s hitting very high. Like, 2-3” at 10 yards high. It almost seems like the sights were set up for a 6 o’clock hold vs a combat or center hold. The sights are only really “on” at around 3-5 yards. I understand that some people like the 6 o’clock hold but it’s not for me.
The slide came from eBay. It’s a legion slide with sights that are marked TG-H3 with a small stamped 8 on the front and rear. That should be the correct sighting setup for a 9mm right?
Or since the frame started as a 40, should I use a #6 sight in the front?
