P320 FRT Mid August

Hadn’t seen anyone post about it here, they unfortunately won’t ship to my state when other retailers will ( it’s a grey area ) so hoping someone else will copy the design

P320 w/ PMM Ultra Comp or 226 X-Five Legion

I have both a P226 X-Five Legion and a P320 X-Five. I’m considering purchasing a subcompact slide and PMM Ultra Comp for the P320. Does anyone have any experience with both configurations? Is it worth upgrading the P320? Is there enough difference between that and my P226 X-Five Legion? My use case is open minor type competitions.

Found my perfect grip module

Off to decent start. Have the Icarus ACE floor plates on my 17 rnd mags but keep the 15 rnd stock and flush for carry. I love the ergonomics of the Icarus ACE XCompact module, feels like it was made specifically for my hand. I still haven’t decided on what barrel I will go with. As for optic, I am undecided as well. I tried an Osight C that a buddy has thinking it would be great as it’s a direct mount for this slide. I didn’t like it at all on this pistol, it was really slightly too large aesthetically. No rush on that as I have no problem putting rounds on target with irons.

Was idly checking Mischief Machine's website. Clicking through it looks like all of their 17-round sized grip modules in aluminum are available for purchase once more!

Oh, my aching wallet...

My 320 Observations Over The Years.

There might not be a more controversial firearm than the Sig P320. You either love them or hate them. Defend it or mock them. I've watched every single video possible with the ND's. And I have tried to read every article good or bad. I have torn apart every FCU I own and tried to learn as much as possible as to why Sig designed it the way they did. I don't know if the ND's are the mechanism but it's almost impossible to deny it at this point, something is weird.

So, here's my take and my experience.

I decided to build the Harrington Arms Gucci 320 a few years ago. I assembled my build list and got to ordering. I picked up a X Compact from my local dealer and waited parts to arrive. In the meantime, the 320 shitstorm started. I assumed it was stupid cops, women throwing it in their purse, keys getting in the trigger gaurd, etc. Honestly, some of those things probably happened. At this point I knew nothing about the 320 FCU but I know Glocks and Shadow Systems like the back of my hand. I could assemble them blindfolded. They're simple, 34 sturdy parts, proven. Comparing it to the 320 FCU, I was actually kind of pissed. Fragile springs, an overcomplicated FCU and slide components that are laughably small. The thought of this FCU surviving combat overseas, in a dirty environment just isn't possible. Just putting the FCU in the module made me scratch my head. The trigger bar spring almost looks like it could catch on the module while assembling. I did all the tests and checked my build dates for the recalls. All passed and off to the range I went. I built a couple module version, 1 a cerakoted stock frame and the other a Icarus Precision Socom Elite with a Delta Point Pro but eventually a C&H Precision enclosed emitter, TLR-1HL, a Harrington Arms comp and a Agency Arms trigger shoe with the safety dingus. I'm used to Glocks so the trigger felt more comfortable. The gun shot great. Better than great, it felt like a .380. I put damn near 1000 rounds through it.

I did notice something interesting when I ordered holsters that brought me back to the ND conversation. My first holster from Tier 1 was worrying. The trigger coverage was nonexistent and damn near scary. I love Tier 1, I contacted them about it and after some back and forth they sent out a second one that was slightly better. I couldn't use it so I ordered 1 from T Rex that did a better job and it was enough coverage that I was comfortable with. I just picked up another FCU and decided to put together an X Compact with no bells and whistles but with a TLR-7A. That holster looks more like a traditional G19 holster with TLR-7A. It doesn't have the gaps you get with a TLR-1HL or a SureFire X300. The size of the opening has to be massive with the larger light. I had a hard time ordering holsters for this particular gun so maybe these pictures will help others. The blue holster with the metal clips is the T Rex, blue with plastic clips is the Tier 1, both with TLR-1HL. The red holster is the T Rex with the TLR-7A.

Custom Steel Grip?

I’m really wanting to get a custom grip made for my concealed carry build. Yes the first picture is AI and not my exact vision but was as close as I could get.

I use the Amend2 s300 and it’s really not bad. I have a Wilson combat grip that hasn’t made it to the range yet but I really do like the stubby grip that hides well under a T-Shirt. I’m a small frame guy so the larger grips print noticeably.

Main point now is that I want to commission a steel version of the s300 with a few updates such as raising the beaver tail, adding an undercut to the trigger guard, extending the dust cover, adding wood panels, and matching the corners and details of my slide and compensator to the dust cover. Naturally I’d need an updated mag base and sleeve too.

How (or should) I go about doing this? I tried reaching out to an engineering shop but got no answer unfortunately. Is this just dumb?

TLDR/ I want to have a steel version of my weird little polymer grip made.

320 Takedown lever will not clear the left side of the fcu. The barrel and recoil assembly are NOT in the weapon. I was checking to see how easy the slide would move without them. It seems like there is something near the left side blocking the lever no matter what position I turn it to. Mag is out.

Can I see your metal grip frames?

I pulled this old girl out of the safe about a week ago. My wife bought it for me as a birthday gift a few years back, and, believe it or not, I still haven’t shot it.

Like most things firearm-related, once I start tinkering, it’s hard to stop. So far I’ve added:

- Herrington Arms HC320-BL comp
- Armory Craft Sport Takedown Lever
- BoBro Engineering RMR adapter plate with integrated rear sight
- Trijicon RMR2 (already had one sitting around)

I know the TXG grip is one of the big selling points of the XCarry Legion, and I actually like how it feels in the hand and the added weight. That said, I’ve always preferred the look and feel of an all-metal grip module.

If you’ve got one you really like or can recommend, I’d love to hear it.

And while you’re at it, if there are any other upgrades you’d suggest, let me know. Thanks in advance!

P320 edc

I picked this P320 up about 2 months ago, ive shot probably 1000 rounds through it and im considering adding it to my edc rotation. However im facing some mental blocks regarding the stigma regarding the p320 and the “accidental discharges”. have any of you guys dealt with this and how did you get over it?

Help with optics slide

I have a production p320c and want to put an optic on it. There seem to be two choices.

  1. Have my slide milled for an optic
  2. Buy a stripped slide that is precut

I tried path 2 by buying a p80 slide from eBay that was pre cut. I bought a completion kit and and optic bit for whatever reason, the slide didn’t work. It wouldn’t lock back because the cut seemed to not line up. In addition it didn’t seem to function with my barrel and spring from my production p320.

Did I get a bad slide? Any recommendations? Ideally I’d like to have two slides that I can switch between but maybe it’s better just to get my slide milled?

Wilson Combat WCP320

Bought these grip modules for my Sig M18 in both Black & FDE about 6 months ago. Immediately hated the “FDE” color upon seeing it in person and threw it in my box of spare parts and have been using the Black grip modules ever since, love the ergonomics and the factory Sig “Snakebite” look.

A few weeks ago I was going through my spare parts and remembered how much I disliked the FDE frame, so I decided to use my free will and do something about it.

Took the FDE frame down to my local Cerakoter and handed him the WCP320 FDE frame along with the original FDE/Coyote M18 frame with HandleIt Grips and told him what I wanted and he said “say no more fam, I gotchu”.

He absolutely nailed what I had in my head, (basically RAL8000 on the HK SP5/K), and I’m in love with the new look, its an absolute banger 🔥

Now should I have all the metal controls/trigger/Romeo RS-Pro cerakoted in Burnt Bronze / Midnight Bronze to match the Foxtrot 1X or should I leave them factory black? I figure that color bronze will also look good when I switch back to the Black WCP320 grip module in the future, if ever.

P320 Flat Trigger "Upgrade"

I was looking at upgrading my P320 XFive Legion trigger. I see Sig has a Flat Skeletonized Enhanced Trigger that says it's 30% less trigger weight than the stock trigger. However, this trigger, besides being a different color "Gold" looks exactly the same as my stock trigger.
Are they talking about a stock curved trigger or am I missing something?
