My PC seems to be getting locked at around 15 fps. It first started when I opened CS2. The game launched fine initially and was running at 200+ fps but as soon as I moved my mouse the FPS instantly dropped to exactly 15 and my entire PC/desktop also dropped to extremely low fps.

I opened AMD Adrenalin and it says my 9070 XT is at 100% utilization with 3000+ mhz clock speeds even while sitting on the desktop. The weird part is my temps stay around 50-55C, so the utilization/power/clocks don’t seem to match.

Task Manager shows completely different numbers than adrenaline, usually around 5-20% GPU utilization.

Things I’ve already tried:
- Reinstalled AMD drivers normally
- Reinstalled again using Factory Reset
- Cleared shader cache
- Verified CS2 game files
- Disabled Wallpaper Engine
- Closed SteelSeries GG / Sonar
- Checked monitor refresh rate (280Hz is set correctly)

The desktop sometimes feels normal after rebooting, but as soon as I launch CS2 and move my mouse the whole system goes back to 15 fps.

I have no clue what is causing this. I’ve heard about DDU uninstaller before and am thinking about trying that, but I’m not at all familiar with the process.

Any help would be appreciated.

My Dell OptiPlex 3040 MT, (I5-6500 16gb ram) randomly started freezing/crashing recently. At first the CPU fan would get really loud and the whole PC would freeze completely with no blue screen. I changed the thermal paste and it worked for a few days, but now it won’t turn on at all.

Current symptoms:

• Fans spin and power comes on
• No display / no signal
• No Dell logo or BIOS screen
• Mouse LEDs don’t turn on anymore
• Keyboard lights sometimes work
• No beep codes
• After sitting on for a while, the PC sometimes shuts itself back off (Due to no display).

Things I already tried:

• Different HDMI/display
• Reseating RAM
• Trying one RAM stick at a time
• Checking cables/connections

I’m trying to figure out if this sounds more like:

• bad PSU
• dead motherboard
• CPU issue
• RAM issue or something else.

Any help appreciated because I’m stuck and don’t really know what part failed, And Im just trying to see if its even worth trying to fix.

so anyttime i try to open like say my minecraft launcher it doesnt even attempt to open and it wont let me uninstall it so idk what to do cuz i just spent 30 bucks on minecraft and ive had similar problems lately where my pc just isnt weorking if anyone klnows hot to fix this could u lmk pls

Hello me and my friends both have a a dell optiplex 3040 mt and everything was running smooth with them they had theirs months prior (presumably 5) I’ve gotten mine and everything ran smooth for about a week until recently there’s been freezing within five minutes of start up and the day after mine did this my friends pc also started doing this so is this some weird coincidence we did a lot of research and even changed the thermal paste. Does anyone know any other solutions please and thank you?

today I was just updated stuff and whatever and I reset my pc to update my cpu and my fans just start spinning at max speed whenever I open a game any solution or reason?!?!

Long story short - I accidentally entered wrong values in virtual memory settings and felt backing up from a restore point was easier.. no restore point apparently? Ended up wiping windows from device (I'm not Mr. Amazing Awesome pc guy).

Also ran into problems installing windows 10 about halfway through because reasons? Error message every time at the same part of instalation.

Hi guys im having issues with my new pc and i need some help , last sunday i was watching youtube and my pc suddenly froze out of no nowhere and ever since the dram light keeps showing up after i try to boot my pc

I think i tried almost anything cleared cmos multiple times using the button on the motherboard , tried one stick of ram worked on the first boot then when i restarted same issue dram light and black screen , updated the bios using m-flash button on the mobo this worked first boot then the same issue , disabled expo , disabled fast boot and sleep mode , amd cleanup utillity then adrenaline drivers , disabled in bios memory context restore , OCCT test on both ram sticks in the A2 slot both passed, i even looked if the pins in the cpu arent bent and untightent aio slightly.

Some more info after the freeze my second monitor on the hdmi stopped displaying and i had 2 simillar problems before ,once after ending my gaming session my pc randomly turned off, restarting my psu fixed this issue and i had multiple freeze on sleep mode which i turned off .

I dont know what i could do to fix this is thos a hardware issue or memory training of someone with more insight could help i would rrally apreciate it

The pc turns on but won’t output any display or get into the bios. I followed mostly this build to a tea. I turn on the pc and i’m not getting any output. I’ve updated the bios and I’ve got the hdmi plugged into the gpu not the motherboard. Lost.

Hi guys
So I’ve had my self built pc for around 3.5 - 4 years but lately (it started around 3 weeks ago) my pc keeps getting Bluescreens with the error code “IRQL_NOT_LESS_ OR_EQUAL”

Before explaining the problem in more detail these are my specs:
Mainboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z590-A Gaming WiFi
CPU: Intel i7 -11700KF
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3060
RAM: 2x 8GB of Corsair vengeance
SSD: 1TB m.2 Samsung 980 Pro and 2TB m.2 Samsung 990 Pro
OS: Windows 10 Home

It all started like three weeks ago, where my Ethernet suddenly just disappeared for no reason and this was mostly followed by a Bluescreen with said error code. (This especially happened often when I played Minecraft with shaders oder had multiple tabs open)
When the Bluescreen came it was sometimes caught in a loop where the pc showed a Bluescreen 5 times or went into a Windows reset menu. After those multiple crashes the system worked normally for like 10-20 minutes until it happened again.
There were days when this didn’t happen and days where this happened a lot.
In the last couple days I tried to fix the problem.
Interestingly enough one of my SSDs (the 2TB one) wasn’t shown in the explorer but it was shown in Bios. When plugged in the SSD was recognized for around 5 mins and then disappeared. I thought the this SSD might have been broken and thus the cause of the problem. It turns out that this seemed not to be the problem since the Bluescreens continued on.
After that I decided to reset my Windows but right after resetting the Bluescreens appeared again.
The Pc is generally usable as long as it doesn’t need to handle a huge amount of tabs or high performance games.
The Ethernet problem isn’t fixed either, sometimes I have it and sometimes I don’t and I need to rely on WiFi

Ive tried several Diagnosis tools, but they didn’t help so far.
I have no Idea what causes the problem or how to fix it.

Bought a second-hand PC a few months ago which worked fine until it started crashing during certain games (all fans went to max during crash). Anyways, other reddit threads suggested updating BIOS before buying a new psu. Used M-Flash to update the BIOS, but windows wont boot now. I remember having to reformat my hard drive in the past in order to enable UEFI & secure boot. After updating, I noticed that the BIOS was set to Legacy + UEFI instead of UEFI. In my BIOS theres also something about windows 8/10 compatibility that was disabled after I updated. Am i missing something?

I was thinking of booting from a USB but then what?

The past couple months, my PC has randomly shut off and rebooted by itself as if nothing happened. It can be simply in the desktop with nothing running and it'll just crash randomly. When I go to the Event Viewer, I'm provided with the event below. I changed the PSU thinking it could be a power draw issue but it seems that's not the case. I'm upgrading my RAM soon so maybe it could be faulty RAM due to age. Other than that, I'm not sure what else it could be.

pc started act up after I left it running for like 30mins while doing sumthing irl, when I came back it already froze and the only option i have is to force it to shut down via power button. The pc now persistently freezes after sometime whenever i use it, it doesnt event last 10 mins until it decides to freeze up again. The activity indicator also stops working when it freezes. I managed to run CrystalDiskInfo to check and i got 96% for my ssd, though this doesnt mean the ssd isn’t bad but this freezing thing only happens after a windows update the night before the first occurrence. I wanted to do an sfc scan but idrk if it can finish before finishing. I need all of your expertise to let this system free again. All troubleshooting that Iv’e done is reseating the gpu and ram, ditching my gou and using igpu (still freezes), letting it load up a bit but it still freezes after sometime with me even doing anything besides logging in to user.

So at first my pc didn’t shutdown auto it just won’t turn on unless i reset the cmos after three days it start to shutdown auto when I’m working. first i change thermal paste and then it works perfectly.but after three days i got the same issue again. First i thought my psu is the problem cause it’s been two years since I build my pc.so i take my pc to a repair shop and then plug into a new psu and it works perfectly so i change to a new psu came home and tried to turn on again same problem. And now i don’t know what to do.

( I checked the gpu and it’s working perfectly. If there is a short on motherboard it shouldn’t be turn on when I’m in the repair shop right? But it did. Is there a problem in my house)

My friend keeps experiencing constant instability in his system which has seemed to progressively get worse over time. He’s asking me to make a post to Reddit to see if anyone could help, with the issues he’s been experiencing attached below in his words:

• Shutdown from windows does not work, have to hard shutdown.
• Yellow dram on restart until I turn it off manually
• Pc will on occasion crash under graphical load and my gpu drivers will stop working, like some sort of corruption. Forcing me to DDU them and reinstall to get them working again
• Game crashes Random intervals

When I first purchased and built the pc I had to manually set speeds as expo was not working and wouldn’t let my pc post. New issues such as driver corruption and not restarting and newish (5 months ago)

Now back to me:

He personally believes the issue is his system ram, and while that could very well be the issue considering everything, I also feel he should try updating his firmware, which he has never done before. For some reason he has been reluctant to do so, believing that the issue stems from just ram alone. Now we’re just wondering what anybody else has to say about this?

Hey all, I was in device manager disabling some HID and then USB inputs trying to find which one was my ps5 controller and then my PC shut down and won’t boot up.

I turned off the PSU and on again but only my RAM sticks light up. Everything else is black. Wtf did I do.

What I've tried:

• I've tried a CMOS reset, didn't change anything
• I've removed the GPU and slotted one stick of ram in 1A and then 1B, still nothing
• I've removed the front panel IO header and turned it on by shorting the power switch, still nothing

No matter what I do my PC doesn't display anything and only the RGB on my ram sticks show any sign of power.
