PC Freezes a few minutes into the game after disabling iGPU

I recently updated my system to a new Ryzen 7 7800x3d, but I still use my old gpu RX 580.
Whenever I try to disable iGPU in BIOS or Device Manager my pc just freezes on the last frame a few minutes after launching any game. I have a feeling that it may be a driver problem/conflict with the RX 580 Legacy driver and iGPU’s driver, since I cannot use AMD HW H.264 (AVC) obs encoder because of an error it gives when iGPU is on. Should I DDU my drivers and try to install them with iGPU disabled? Any help would be appreciated.

Need help disabling BitLocker

I’m trying to update my bios and was told I should back up my bitlocker then disable it. The problem is the windows search bar does not work. I’ve tried dozens of ways to fix that problem and pretty much gave up, but with that not working I now need a work around to try and get to my bitlocker drive encryption. If you have any work around for either problem that would be greatly appreciated, thank you. I’m fairly new to the pc life so please be patient if this sounds stupid.

Cpu temps i9-13900KF

Specs

I9-13900KF

Nvidia 5070 12GB Gigabyte

32 GB Ram

Corsair Hydro Series PRO XT

1 TB

Im kind of confused.. im not very experienced in specs, or pc anything when it comes to what is safe or not when it comes to over heating or throttling ...

My issue, I noticed that my cpu temps hit 210 f, if im running crimson desert. However the pc runs great. No issues, stutter or anything negative.

I've gotten some opinions and have been told that my pc can handle the i9 power hungry and that the hardware's built-in protections are handling the heat exactly as intended. That i can safely turn Turbo Boost back on in ThrottleStop and let it run.

At first I thought the liquid cooler was not working, so I used throttle stop to lower the temps which worked while running the game. Temps were normal, but did notice lower fps.

Thoughts? Opinions? I really want to play at max performance with no fps drop but also dont want to melt my cpu. Lol.

If any other info is needed, lmk. Thanks in advance.

Help

How's it going guys i got a buddy that has a acer n50-620

Gtx 1650 with an 11400f and 32gig of ram and hes running into an issue where he cant play valorant or any game that requires tpm 2.0 we have googled and chat gpt just about every solution possible. He has an error code pcr7 not supported but every fix for that says to have secure boot enabled which he indeed does based off the bios setting im hoping someone may have an answer.

So far we have

  1. Updated to windows 11 pro as that was one of the possible problems.

  2. Cleared the cmos battery

  3. Updated the bios to the most recent which I believe is like R01-A4 for something similar to that.

  4. We have confirmed that the bios recognizes that the tpm module is being recognized but windows will not initialize it

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hitching after CPU, MoBo, Ram upgrade?

R5 9600x
MSi b850 gaming plus WiFi
32Gb 6000 Cl 38 T-group ram
RTX 5080

During gaming I will frequently have dips to 10-20 fps.
I have uninstalled old drivers,
Updated bios
Installed, deleted and reinstalled MoBo drivers.
Tried stock ram speed, expo1 and expo2
My cpu isn’t thermal throttling.

Haven’t fresh installed windows 11 as to not delete my 2+tb of games.

Any ideas? I’m willing to answer any questions.

Help

Okay so first when I turned on my pc. Lights would turn on and so would the fans but it took a bit for the monitor to get signal and for the keyboard to light up too. Then it started taking one restart. Then it took multiple restarts. So then Google said to take out the ram and put it back in. I took out the ram and put it back in. The rgb lights went on again but then I saw the debug thing on the motherboard. Cpu was red. Dram was yellow. Is my motherboard or ram fucked or something idk.

Random hard reboots

I recently bought a used FB Marketplace PC with the following specs:

Motherboard: ASRock B650 PG Lightning

CPU: Ryzen 5 7600x

GPU: ASUS Dual Radeon RX 9060 XT 8GB

PSU (original): MSI MAG A650GLS

RAM: 16GB DDR5 4800Mhz (single channel on A2) Part Number: CT16G48C40U5.C8A1

SSD: INTEL SSDPEKNU010TZ

Ever since the day I bought the PC from the guy, I've been having consistent hard reboots while gaming. Only while gaming. It happens most often while playing Warframe, but has also happened in Sons of The Forest, Minecraft, and Guild Wars 2. It's also happened (less frequent) for my girlfriend while she's playing The Sims 4 and Paralives. I'm pretty much at a loss for what is going on.

I have tried/observed the following:

  • Swapped PSU to MSI MAG A850GL (no reason for extra 250w, just all they had available)
  • Ran DDU fresh install all GPU drivers
  • Tried multiple different undervolt settings for GPU. Also tried with stock settings.
  • Updated BIOS
  • Ensured no XMP/EXPO profiles
  • No CPU overclock
  • OCCT CPU test - passed
  • OCCT Memory test - passed
  • OCCT Power test (prior to PSU swap) - passed
  • OCCT 3D Adaptive test - passed
  • OCCT VRAM test - produced a LiveKernelEvent 141/driver crash once 22m in to 1h test.
  • No WHEA-Logger errors. Mostly Kernel-Power 41 entries after crashes.
  • All temperatures/voltages are fine.

I'd also like to note that it does not BSOD when it crashes. Sometimes the game freezes and audio freezes for a split second and then screen goes black and system reboots. Other times it's just instant black screen and reboot. It only happens while gaming as I previously mentioned. Sometimes I'll be able to get 30-45m in to a match on Warframe and then it crashes, other times it'll crash 5 mins after booting game. It's completely random.

I am currently testing disabling Resizeable BAR/AMD Smart Memory with a -10% power limit and -200Mhz max freq offset for GPU. Like I said I'm at a loss of what to do and I've pretty much reached my knowledge limit and ChatGPT is running me in circles at this point. I know I started myself off rough considering it's a used FB Marketplace PC but, what can you do.

If anyone here has any experience with issues like this or has any insight they could provide me with, it would be much appreciated. If there are any logs that I can provide, or any screenshots of anything please let me know and I will do my best to provide them to help with further diagnostics.

EDIT: GPU driver version is 32.0.31021.5001 per HWiNFO

EDIT again: HWiNFO system summary

Pc Stuck at POST VGA light

My PC powers on, but the GPU fails to initialize, and the motherboard's VGA diagnostic light remains on. The system was running without any issues just two days ago. Yesterday morning, when it first failed to boot, I removed the GPU and confirmed the PC runs flawlessly on the integrated graphics (iGPU). I then took the GPU to a local repair shop where it tested perfectly. After bringing it home and reinstalling it, my PC worked completely fine again.

Unfortunately, the exact same issue has returned today: no display, and the VGA light is solid. I have already tried running a single stick of RAM, double-checking all power cables, reseating the GPU, and clearing the CMOS, but nothing is working. Occasionally, the GPU fans will spin for a minute before stopping, but other times they don't budge at all Edit: Tried different PCIe slot

Hi I hope you are having a good day. I am in a bit of a mind bender in solving an overheating issue.

TLDR: pc is exploding into overheat doing basic things like opening file search or webrowser and steam. Worked perfectly fine prior to july 7th. Need help as need pc to work, and not just gaming. Confused as replace thermal pads and paste. Starting to think maybe intel chip or a setting/software is the culprit. Thank you all again for the help, still no solution.

EDIT:pictures of pc case and pictures showing the temperture differences from just opening a program or continuing the malaware scan.

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/g1airlio3lder/pcoverheat

Edit2: Ok info people have wanted in in the above link. My room is starting to heat up cause pc. I just did random letters for pictures cause using my screenshot was getting into the red and freaking me out. I have to turn off pc, it goes down to low temps in seconds so I am starting to think it is some software issue, but I cant keep using it atm.

Thank you all who check out this thread, I am a bit freaked out as I need my pc to work from home. If this isn't fixed by monday I am in trouble. I already am penny pinching as it is and I built this pc from scratch into an old pc case. Everything is replaced, I dont know what else to provide.

Thanks for your time!

Edit3: pc is on the floor just as I figure out what is wrong. Neck and Back began to hurt during disassembly.

Edit4: No virus found after a 1hr and 30min scan spanned 4hrs from me pausing serveral times.

The mind Bender

This began wedesday july 7th 2026 after downloading a mod for the The long dark to enable save editing.(Look I beat the game already and wanted more fun to derp around). (Also mod has a good reputation and has been around since 2019)I played the game my pc stayed at a good temp of 118f to 121f. After the session was done, I quit the game and then left my pc idling in discord vc, to take a nap. When I awoke my pc was overheating at 212f so I promptly turned it off. Since then my pc overheats just from bringing up the default google or morzilla pages. Hell I cant even open steam without it getting hot.

To remedy this I went ahead and bought these products:

ARCTIC TP-3: Premium Performance Thermal Pad, 120 x 20 x 1.0 mm (Stackable to 2.0 mm Without Performance Loss), 4 Pieces - High Performance, Particularly Soft, Ideal Gap Filler, Bridging Gaps x2

ARCTIC MX-4 (4 g) - Premium Performance Thermal Paste for All Processors (CPU, GPU - PC, PS4, Xbox), Very high Thermal Conductivity, Long Durability, Safe Application, Non-Conductive, Non-capacitive

and replaced the old thermal pads and paste in my gpu, thermal pad for my ssd, and paste for my cpu. Despite doing this, my pc still is getting hot from basic tasks such as doing a malaware scan or opening the file folders.

I have been slowly doing a virus scan of my pc, pausing every so often in case its a virus doing this. I have meticulously blown out my pc with an electric air blower every 3 months for 4 years so there was hardly any dust to blow out. My room has been at a steady 78f despite the heatwaves.

My pc is next to a wall yet even when I pulled the location. It did not help this over heating issue and in the past in the same spot it would idle fl studio and scrivener , steam, video software etc with no issue and 108f to 118f.

Y40 prebuilt from Walmart freezing.

I purchased this on the 23rd of June, was delivered on the 26th.

From the start it will just randomly freeze, causing a hard restart needing to be done.

I have run a memory test, that is fine. It does a stress test fine, I am really not sure what to do, other than return it, but would love to be able to keep it.

It really is just random, it could be fine all day, gaming and everything, and then freeze as I disconnect my Bluetooth headset. Or, I will be in the middle of a game, and suddenly freeze. Or, doing nothing, just walk away from the computer, sitting idle, and it freezes.

New PC can’t access BIOS to enable Secure Boot for Valorant VAN9003, wired keyboard still boots to Windows

Hi, I’m trying to play Valorant on a new Windows 11 PC, but I’m getting VAN9003, saying UEFI Secure Boot needs to be enabled.
I’m trying to get into BIOS/UEFI to enable Secure Boot, but the PC just boots straight to the Windows login/home screen.
What I’ve tried:
Wired USB keyboard
Restarting and repeatedly pressing Delete
Restarting and repeatedly pressing F2
Windows Advanced Startup → UEFI Firmware Settings
Command Prompt command:

shutdown /r /fw /t 0

The command either says I don’t have privileges, or it just boots back into Windows.
Specs/info:
Windows 11
Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B760-Plus WiFi
Error: Valorant VAN9003
Keyboard: wired USB keyboard
Does anyone have any ideas why Delete/F2 and UEFI Firmware Settings aren’t opening BIOS? Could Fast Boot or admin permissions be causing this? What else can I try?

PC shuts down instantly while playing video games (Specs attached) – Need help troubleshooting!

Hi everyone,

i'm having a frustrating issue where my PC instantly shuts down (like a sudden power cut) whenever I try to play games. It runs completely fine when I'm just browsing the web or working on the desktop, but within minutes of launching a game, the fans start spinning like crazy (very loud) and then the PC completely turns off.

I have attached a screenshot of my current system specs

* **The issue started recently;** after I had to replace my old motherboard. My previous motherboard was a higher-end model, but after it died, I replaced it with this entry-level: **ASUS PRIME H510M-K R2.0**.

* I'm running an **Intel Core i7-10700F**, and it boosts up to **4600 MHz**.

* I am very confident about the cooler installation and thermal paste application, so I don't think it's a simple loose cooler issue.

Could this entry-level H510M motherboard be struggling with the VRM power delivery/voltages when the i7-10700F boosts during gaming, causing the shutdown?

GPU-usage always at 100% since Windows 11

FIXED: Open Control Panel -> System & Security -> Power Options -> Activate "Balanced"
I lately updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11. When I´m gaming now my RTX 5060 suddenly rises to 100% usage. (Mostly of it being caused by that game). It´s kinda fixed when turning on V-Sync but the fps drops just get shorter.

Help. Bought a used pc, and it has fake storage display. Would removing the storage it has and adding new real one fix it? I'm new to the pc world

I bought a used pc. Can't return it I can only attempt to fix. When using the pc it displayed Storage: 2.04TB, graphics card: Radeon RX 580 Series 8gb, installed ram: 16gb, Processor: AMD ryzen 5 3600 6-core. In the about section and in description. And it seemed to work fine. However, it had alot of apps/software and I wanted to delete it. It wasn't really allowing me to do so properly. So I decided to reset the pc and erase everything on the drive and anything on windows. It also claims to be on windows 11. But it kept failing, getting stuck on 62% for hours. I attempted to reboot from bios with a USB that has windows 10 and hopefully go from there. The bios allowed the usb to start the sequence, but then it crashed. Not sure how to describe it but it ended by turning itself off. I tried it 3 times.... opening the pc to see if a loose wire. Google suggestion. I saw the WD Green 240gb Sata ssd solid state drive and wondered where the the rest of the storage was. Math wasn't matching in my head, but math is not specialty neither are pc or electronic sadly. As I tried looking for this mystery storage. I looked at the manuel for the motherboard and I cant find it. So I googled it and there apparently is a thing as hacked fake storage.....T.T

I accept defeat in that aspect. I will try to learn from this. My real concern is if I buy a WD black storage and install it, remove the sata ssd drive, and attempt to usb windows 10 will it fix it? Would it stop the sudden shut off or is it a power issue or over heating as googl might suggest. Any advice, I bought it as a gift for my brother and his birthday is soon. Very soon T.T

Why are pkmn-like games messing up with my kinda powerful pc?

Those are really not the kind of games I thought my pc would get in trouble with but here we are 😂

What you can see in the video is induced by Pokemon Z (downloaded on the website of the creator), but earlier this year I got the same issue with Coromon, launched with Steam.

Each time I played the game for a few hours for ~2 days, and after 2 or 3h on the third day, suddenly the bug appeared. After the first occurrence, it keeps happening a little bit faster each time.

And the weirdest thing is that when I close the game, the bug keeps going! I then have to turn off my computer, and when I turn it on again it is all good.

I have searched online for a solution but never ever found this bug anywhere

Here are my pc specs :

  • Windows 11 pro
  • B650M Pro RS WiFi
  • AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060
  • ram 32go

Thanks a lot to those who would wanna help 🙏
