Looking for other lady golfers

30F, 25 Handicap, I am married no kids, my husband and I play weekly with usually with his friend group. None of my friends play golf. While I love him and his friends it can sometimes be a bit of a boys club. I joined LPGA Amateurs this year and it’s been great to meet other lady golfers but I’d love to meet more my age. I am open to playing with golfers new to the sport, a lot of our friends we taught to play over the years. I mostly play on weekends or after work 9 (5:30 or later).

I need people to golf with

I just booked a tee time tomorrow at Heron Lakes (greenback) as a birthday gift to myself and I'm super bummed I dont have anyone to share the experience with

I just started playing last July and this will be my first time playing somewhere besides Colwood. Im super nervous about playing holes over par 3s and the thoughts of water and bunkers are wild to me, but I feel its time for this lil birdie to leave its NE Columbia Blvd nest.

Now for the pity party. Im the only person in my friends group who got into golf. We built our friendships through a combination of playing punk/metal music, skateboarding and motorcycle riding.

As a 39 y/o whose married with 3 kids and has a full time job, the thought of making new friends for this new venture seems very daunting and I'm not sure how to go about it

I guess this is just a super drawn out way of asking if anyone would wanna join me at green back at 10:40 am tomorrow (5/14) I would enjoy the company.

Thanks y'all

Official (unofficial) r/PDXGolf Gathering #2 this Friday (tomorrow) @ Satellite Tavern (North Portland)

I know it's a little last minute, but if anyone is free tomorrow (Friday) for happy hour, I would love to get together. I will be posted up at Satellite Tavern in North Portland. They have a cool outside patio area with TVs (so I can watch the NBA games 😉). I plan to get there around 4 or 4:30p.

I plan to put some more events on the calendar going into the summer. Would love to get a Saturday or Sunday golf event for everyone on the calendar, too.

If you would like to get on the WhatsApp group, please reach out to me directly (thru a DM) and I can send you the invite.

Hope to see some of you tomorrow!

Lost wedge at Columbia Edgewater on 5/11/26.

Hi PDX Golf community ,

I was playing at a NWGG event at Columbia Edgewater and must have left my wedge on the ground on the back nine. It’s a 60 degree Cleveland with black and blue grip. Hopefully someone grabbed it and sees this or emails admin of NWGG. I checked with the pro shop and cart guys that day and 2 times.

Since then I have emailed NWGG and called the pro shop one more time with no luck . I looked with a cart after the event was over too , so makes me think someone picked it up and maybe will turn it into NWGG because they didn’t turn it into the pro shop at Columbia Edgewater.

If you golfed in that tournament will you ask your golf friends you know that also played and see if they found it? Thank you.

Spent two years building something at the fire station. Finally finished it.

Built a golf app for our crew trips. Took two years. Finally got it on the App Store.

I’m a Portland area firefighter and dad with no coding background. I wanted something that felt more like real golf culture — trip recaps, side bets, season standings, crew history, rivalries, all the stuff that usually disappears into group texts or fades from memory.

Built it over the last couple years during downtime at the station and after my daughter went to bed. Definitely not a developer by trade, so this was a learn-as-I-go project.

If anyone around Portland wants to try it with their group this summer, I’d love the feedback. Happy to extend the trial for anyone willing to really test it with their crew.
