My current controller will not connect using usb in safe mode. I tried 25 old cables and none worked. Bluetooth works. Ok that’s fine. Ordered a new controller and it will be here in a few days.

In normal mode (not safe mode), I have my usb loaded with 9.0 normal firmware and the folder structure is perfect and it is detected and appears it can be flashed.

1. ⁠Everything I have read says that you have to be in safe mode, but it appears it will let me update in normal mode, but I wanted to check here first. Is that correct?
2. I am also updating to my 1 TB hdd to a 2 TB ssd. Should I use the normal 9.0 firmware or the 9.0 recovery firmware?

I am not worried about loss of data. This will be a fresh install.

I mean this has been on my mind for a while now, there is **Gamebato** but it’s very pay to use, with its data capping and trial periods.

There must be another way, any clue jailbreakers?

I have a jailbroken ps4 and I usually download all my game files from the ftp server. But it doesn't have all the games available like Dark Souls 3, Just Cause 4 and many more. So where should I download these games safely?

I think everybody knows than when using usb restoration files for the ps4 below what it was then the device wont allow it, but what if we bypass that check?

My idea here is to get an image of a hard drive with the firmware wanted, like 9.00 or 12.50 . then flash it to the hard drive of the device, then it will boot that version because it doesnt check it. Would that work?
