It Wasn't Just a PS5 ❤️🎮

When I visited Dubai in December, I saw a PS5 selling for around ₹42,000 right in front of me.

But gaming was never really part of my family background. We grew up playing that little Snake game on Nokia phones. So when I saw the PS5, my first thought was:

“This is a waste of money and time.”

Then life took a completely different turn.

I went through depression. I lost my father. My business suffered losses, and somewhere along the way, I started relying on alcohol.

Life was slowly moving in the wrong direction.

Eventually, I gathered the courage to get my health checked. The reports showed problems related to my liver, cholesterol, B12, Vitamin D and more. My doctor gave me a serious red signal.

Inside, I was struggling with a lot.

Then a few of my friends, who are doctors, told me:

“Get a PS5. Buy a couple of games. Play. Give your mind something positive to focus on.”

It was strange.

The same thing I had considered a waste of money a few months earlier was suddenly being suggested as a small way to bring some happiness back into my life.

So I started looking for one.

And finding a PS5 turned into an adventure of its own.

Croma, Sony Center, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, Great Eastern and several other electronics and computer stores—everything seemed to be out of stock.

Wherever I found one, people were asking anywhere from ₹55,000 to ₹80,000.

I remember thinking:

“It's just a gaming console! For this kind of money, people can build a much more powerful PC.” 😂

I even messaged almost everyone in my WhatsApp contacts:

“If you know where I can get a PS5, please let me know.”

Some replied. Some couldn't help. Some gave me hope. Some simply gave me excuses. 😄

Croma made me wait almost a month after pre-booking and eventually cancelled the order.

Then Sony took my booking. I paid ₹11,000 on August 2, was promised the console around the 15th, and finally, on August 20, I held my first PS5 in my hands.

And the funniest part?

I didn't even know how to use it. 😂

I had no idea which button did what or how to start a game.

But somehow, I was genuinely happy.

My wife looked at me and said:

“Today deserves a celebration.” ❤️

So we had black coffee and veg Manchurian.

Then I surprised my six-year-old son with the PS5.

His happiness was priceless.

We spent around two hours playing Astro Bot together. The whole family sat around, laughed, played and simply enjoyed being together.

Then we turned the PS5 off…

and went to sleep.

That's it.

No huge achievement. No life-changing victory.

But for me, it meant much more.

Sometimes, life doesn't need a grand solution to start feeling a little better.

Sometimes, two simple hours with your family, a child's smile, and a little bit of happiness are enough.

The PS5 wasn't just a gaming console for me.

It became a small reason to smile again. ❤️

And maybe that's something life teaches us eventually:

The value of something isn't always measured by its price. Sometimes, it's measured by the happiness it brings back into your life. 🎮❤️

Is it worth it at this price point.

Was able to secure PS5 from Sony Centre in Koramangala, Bangalore today morning. Thanks to the sub notification ✌️

I saw 1 more carton box (contains 2 PS5) kept packed in the store, but upon asking store manager if he has more units in stock he denied. Folks looking to secure one can give a try.

Saw prices for the Pro go up thrice over the last year before finally getting it on a quick trip to Bengaluru.
No more anticipation anxiety about future price increases, even though I’ve bought this one at a terrible proce I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.
But there’s nothing quite like ray traced 80FPS exclusives 🫡

Hi guys I know mostly it would be a scam but I want to hear your opinion guys and he is claiming he is from vijay sales warehouse and he is qouting 35k for sealed disc edition

After months of hunting for the PS5 I finally found it available to order online on the Reliance Digital website. So I ordered immediately on the 14th August and in just 2 days it was delivered to my location.

Hi want to share my experience in purchasing a pre owned console from Dacby.

I was also one of you who has been hunting for a ps5 console for nearly one month and also I built a telegram tracker for myself to get in stock alerts from Amazon. I would get those alerts and by the time I put the console in cart, the Amazon app states, the console isn’t deliverable to my pin code. Worst experience even though I’m ready to pay 70K.

While I was on reddit, I found someone posting about ps5 in Dacby and out of curiosity I went to their website and found a pre owned standard disc edition for 57k. It took me 15min to get trust on them after knowing they’re pretty active on reddit and responding to customer complaints that gave me confidence that atleast their customer care is strong if something goes bad. There’s another Instagram video of them replacing a product when the customer had complaint on a handheld console he ordered.

Standard and slim disc doesn’t have any performance differences except slim is slim and has a 1tb disk space. Therefore I ordered from them and it took 5 days to reach ps5 console from delhi to hyderabad from the day of ordering. The packing was solid with lot of bubble wrap, even Amazon doesn’t do that. There’s no scratch or mark either on console or controller. The wires were dull but it doesn’t matter.

I have been playing daily on it: Batman Arkham night, Wukong, Hogwarts legacy without any lag and complaint. The console and controller comes with 6 month warranty.
