How many times is vallemar station going to pretend to close?

It’s disrespectful at this point. For two years (correct me if it’s been longer!) they keep making these sob story posts to get people to write good reviews, to eat there and to give them money basically.

They keep saying they’re going to close then… never… close…

So many people have gone there to help support this place, and leave screwed out of money after a crappy meal and cold service.

CLOSE ALREADY!!!!

bay area, ca weekday hiking group for the laid-off (monday @ almaden)

if you're navigating a lay-off or are between opportunities, come clear your head and connect with folks who are in the same boat 🤝🏼

this monday, we’re heading to San Jose for a cool contrast between the city sprawl and pristine hills.

  • when: monday, may 18 @ 10:30 am
  • stats: 4.5mi loop / 728 ft gain

grab your spot and see the full details here:

https://partiful.com/e/quQbeTwLMyYtlnAhlZ9I?

hope to see y'all there!

(pic of ~60 of us from last monday's hike 🙂 - and yes, we'll be splitting into groups and staggering start times so as to not overwhelm the trail)

Looking to get an acupuncture appt at Oceanside ... and a tip is suggested for booking the apt. Thoughts?

I've done acupuncture over the years in different states, but this is the first time I've been hit with a tip suggestion before even having the initial appt. Is this just how it goes here? I thought med services didn't get tips like this.

Lost iPhone 16 pro max

If anyone has seen, know about, heard of an iPhone 16 pro max clear casetify case on it. I care about the photos in it. Please let me know. I can do a $200 reward for it. Was left ontop of the car and drove off on the highway. Around the Police station heading north bound. Heard it roll off. From police station to Clarendon Rd exit.

Anyone else live in a garage-level apt/studio around here, that is extremely humid at all times?

I have a 25 pt dehumidifier I run all day, and I have to empty the bucket every 24 hrs. It's a bit unnerving. So I'm wondering if this is an issue specific to this house or just a typical issue out here, since the humidity is always so high. I've lived in the general area for a long time but was always on an upper floor so this is new to me.
