I got admission in university of potsdam for Oct 2026 but i’ll be deferring it to summer 2027 and im starting my waiting list process. Can anyone please let me know these two things about blocked account:

1. What is the process of transferring money to Expatio or any other third party if sending money abroad to a third party needs permission from State Bank of Pakistan. How long will it take to get their approval? This part has me extremely confused and I cant find any answers besides steps on how to open account. What about the procedure of before opening it and going through all the bank rules and requirements?

2. Is it mandatory to send money to blocked account if im just joining waiting list for now? There are a lot of mixed answers from various FB posts.

I’m 22 years old and currently pursuing a BBA in Pakistan. My degree is expected to be completed by July 2027, and my current CGPA is 3.1/4.0. I have completed German A1 and plan to reach at least A2 before moving to Germany.
I’m planning to apply for a Master’s in one of these fields:
Finance
Financial Management
Banking & Finance
Financial Analytics
I would really appreciate your guidance on a few questions:
When should I ideally start the application process?
Which intake would be more suitable for me after graduating in July 2027: Winter or Summer?
With a 3.1 CGPA and A2 German, do I have a realistic chance of getting admitted to a public German university, or should I improve anything before applying?
What documents are usually required for the entire process (admission + visa)?
If anyone has a checklist, sample application file, or document list, I’d be very grateful if you could share it.
Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi everyone. I'm a Pakistani who's been living in Germany for over a decade now and I've come across many confused people over the years who have questions regarding career trajectories or how to apply for jobs. I can understand their perspective since I was once in the same boat.

In the spirit of helping Pakistanis get good positions, I'd like to offer some advice if anyone wants it. I can only talk about engineering, IT and Cybersecurity roles and can offer advice regarding CVs for these roles.
