Can €30k (~1 crore PKR) + part-time jobs realistically cover a CS bachelor’s in Germany for a Pakistani student?

Hi everyone,

I’m a Pakistani student planning for a bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT in Germany in the next few years, and I want realistic advice from people already studying there.

My plan currently looks like this:

Complete 12th in Pakistan

Do 1 extra year in CS at University of Karachi to fulfill the 13-year education requirement

Reach B2 German before applying

Apply mostly to public universities in smaller/affordable cities like:

Leipzig

Essen

maybe Stuttgart too, although I know it’s more expensive

Financially, my total budget would probably be around:

PKR 1 crore

roughly €30k–33k

I’m not aiming for luxury or big-city lifestyle. I genuinely just want:

affordable education

peaceful/safe life

decent future in IT

ability to survive without becoming financially destroyed halfway through

I also plan to work part-time after settling in Germany.

From my research, it seems:

public universities are mostly tuition-free

biggest issue is living costs + blocked account

smaller cities are much cheaper than Munich/Berlin

B2 German improves part-time job chances a lot

My questions:

Is €30k realistically enough for a full bachelor’s if I work part-time consistently?

How hard is it actually for international students to find student jobs in smaller cities?

Is B2 German enough initially?

Are Leipzig and Essen good choices financially and career-wise for CS students?

Would you recommend avoiding Stuttgart because of Baden-Württemberg tuition fees for non-EU students?

What’s the biggest financial mistake international students usually make?

I’d appreciate honest answers instead of sugarcoating. Especially from people already studying or working in Germany.

Questions

Hallo everyone!
I am a Pakistani student looking to apply for an Ausbildung (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) for the 2026 intake. I wanted to get a realistic assessment of my chances as a non-EU applicant.
My Profile:
Education: 10th Grade (Matric) with a score of 82%.
Certification: Already Cybersecurity certified (CompTIA/Cisco).
Language: Currently at A2, aiming for B1/B2 by the time I apply.
Experience: Have some practical knowledge in networking and system security.
Questions:

  1. Is my 10th-grade score competitive enough for IT given my certifications?
  2. Are there specific regions in Germany that are more open to international IT apprentices?
  3. Should I mention my cybersecurity background as a primary selling point in my "Anschreiben"?
I am prepared to cover my own living costs if the stipend is low. Any advice from people who made it from outside the EU would be amazing!

What can I do in my scenario?

I am M(31) have lived in Germany for 2 years. Always paid every thing on time.

But now I am unable to find a job and have run out of money. Have been looking for one in my city and around it for 6 months now.

My insurance collection has gone to zoll. It's 800 euros although I shifted to private, didn't know it before. But they said I still have to pay for the notice period. I haven't been able to pay for this month. The rent and the 50 insurance. I am thinking of leaving.

By unenrolling and deregistering myself from here. But I don't know if I can live in Europe and this debt will not catch up to me. For a future residency in any other country.

For now someone has asked me to move to Spain and work here. They do have work for me at their shop.

I am a student here. I don't want this to cause any trouble for any other Pakistani that comes after me.

What's the best case scenario for me. Or should I just pack everything and go back to Pakistan

P.s don't ask about family or if anyone can support me. No one is willing to. My blood relationships won't come through for this much amount atleast and my mom's dead and father too. I came here after most of it was my own savings I did borrow but I have most of it already returned to where I borrowed it from.

And yes I wasn't able to learn much Deutsch. Beyond a2 in my two years. Financially I got effed up in year 1.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Moving to Germany

I am 26 years old from Pakistan. I have a college diploma in humanities. The Grades are 48 %. And my intermediate grades are almost 50 % as well.

I do not have any skills or expertise in anything. I have worked in manual labor, handling jobs, farming, and still do minimum small time manual labor etc.

What are my chances of moving to Germany. I don't have sufficient funds for a blocked account or education pathway.

What skills can I learn here that could later transform to my pathway for immigrating to Germany.

Do I have a chance in Old-care/nursing, what skills do I need to acquire beforehand here that could help me land a visa for that Or Ausbildung?

I can learn the language, gain necessary & doable skills that requires minimum financial input. Can't do an entire new degree as it requires a lot of money!

Also, I am looking for purely legal ways!!

Please provide suggestions/advice.

Thank you!

Should i do Masters in Germany right after Bachelors? to leave Pakistan.

I am in the 8th semester of my BCS program at COMSATS, Islamabad. I come from an upper middle class family. One of my brothers has been living in Germany for over 15 years. Although he works in a logistics company and was not particularly focused on education, he has done well for himself there.

My question is whether Germany would be a good option for pursuing a Master's degree and eventually settling there. I have a CGPA of 3.5. I am having second thoughts about whether I will be able to land a job after completing my MS, and I worry about the possibility of wasting the money my parents plan to invest in my education.

I could take up a job here in Islamabad, but the pay would not be great, at least for the first few years. Germany, on the other hand, has proven to be a very good place for my brother.

Help with ingrown hairs

Hi, so bit embarrassed but I am sure this is one of the right places where i can find an answer, I am a Pakistani guy 30ish, quite hairy and recently on the inner thighs near the privates , I have been getting way too many ingrown hair bumps and they hurt as hell.

I even had an episode of pilondial cyst because of this, that had to be drained in emergency, right now the thighs are a mess, i have been trying using sensitive washing detergents, the doctors here gave some antibacterial steroidal , which to be honest make the bumps more painful as crap.

I understand hair removal by laser is a permanent solution, but insurance doesn't cover it and i have my budget for the year calculated and don't have any wiggle room. Plus have a 9 to 6 office job, where I am sitting all the time.

I am sure, the most people with these problems and hopefully potential solution will be here, i know the skin doctor is a solution but still gotta wait 4 more months when the appointment time comes,

Idk if it's just a guy problem or gal, but pretty sure a pakistani issue, help a brother out!!!
