What year do you predict Pantheon hits 1.0?

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080. Fresh Install. Unchanged settings. Game cooks my poor card with fans screaming at max RPM just to keep a tolerable temperature. I don't recall this issue when I played a few months ago. Any suggestions or ideas on how to get this down to a more reasonable rate?
Been playing Diablo 4 on High settings and getting ~90 FPS and a GPU load in the 40-60% range. So I feel like Pantheon should be doing less or am I missing something?
Until I can get an M&M key I was gonna give Pantheon another go out of boredom, but it is currently unplayable. Dropping all graphics to their lowest, unreasonable IMO, made no change.
As a returning player here is my feedback on the PTR... It hardly feels any different. It feels like you just turned off all the crafting. That's basically it. I'm wondering why you'd even announce a wipe and devastate live servers for this. To me, as a player, it doesn't feel different really at all.
[Edit: Here is more traditional feedback (on Warrior) if its more helpful: 1) The charge (Storm): when you run out of range to use it as an interrupt the mob will sometime TP to the location the charge initiated from. 2) The Interrupt (Bash): DO NOT keep this as a 75% failure rate. What player with a brain would ever use a 75% failure rate skill? None, so you're training new players that interrupts aren't useful. False! Don't force noobs to randomize literally the most important combat effect . It doesn't make any sense. They just wont use it and so won't learn their rotation.]
Argue the game's cooked. Savanja is literally Satan. Whatever. Don't care. It's nice to see a populated world again. That's it. Lets game together.
Many interesting projects are coming along, everquest legends in July, MnM launching EA in October, a possible Classic+ release announcement which would get me back into tbc anniversary.
I wanna get back into MMOs and I had been following Pantheon but info seems flat atm? Any updates before everquest legends launch or soon or should I skip this one for now?
I backed this game. I followed it through years of delays, a failed Kickstarter, Brad McQuaid's death, and a development cycle that stretched longer than most people's marriages. I wanted this to succeed more than most people reviewing it.
It doesn't.
Not because it's unfinished — I knew it was unfinished. Early Access means unfinished. What I didn't expect is that after all this time, there would be no reason to care about anything happening on screen. You log in. You find mobs. You kill them. You log out. Nobody tells you why. No thread of narrative, no sense of place, no emotional hook. Just a grind loop dressed up in lore that lives on the website and nowhere in the actual game.
The world of Terminus has a genuinely interesting backstory. The Deicide War, the silenced gods, the Dragon King, the looming threat that nobody is coming to save you next time — that's compelling stuff. None of it is communicated in gameplay. Not in quests, not in NPC dialogue, not in zone design. It exists in patch notes and dev diaries while you stare at a mob camp with no idea why you're there.
When I raised this publicly, a Director of CS removed me from the Discord channel rather than engage with the feedback.
That tells you everything you need to know about how Visionary Realms handles criticism. The game has been in development for over a decade. Steam EA is not a beta test — it's a storefront. People paid real money expecting a reason to play. A disclaimer nobody reads is not an answer to that.
Not recommended. Come back when Terminus feels like somewhere worth saving.
Gears of war, a game from 2006 has better graphics. Modern wow has much better graphics and that's a game from 2004, though pantheon does look better than old wow.
This game looks so outdated and ugly to modern standards. Like two decades outdated.
Why is that? What were they thinking? Current gen MMO's look far FAR better and this game is still nowhere near complete.
Will be hilarious if they farm standalone sales for another week then close down.
Does anybody have any hope for this game anymore? Honestly. Except for the dozen glazers on their Discord how does anybody think that this will ever come to fruition? This level of incompetency is almost unimaginable.
It went from "spring update and wipe" to we can't even get a 10 level PTR working in the spring. Even on the Standalone client not all the classes are available, most abilities are bugged , and there are no systems implemented.
I want you to meet someone who always thinks things are fine and dandy, and whose telling you to go take a walk because you're obsessively waiting for that steam launcher, while simultaneously sitting on the discord 24/7.
has it been interesting and meeting your expectations for the changes?
