A quick update from the Cornelia Street house :-)

Do you download houses that you can furnish yourselves, or do you prefer fully furnished houses?

Phantom Clothesline

Ok so, I bought the house up on the hill across the train tracks to the museum.

I decorated and built all the rooms. Had fun. Saved and exited.

When I came back and loaded up the game there’s this phantom clothesline. I can’t grab it, can’t move it, delete it or anything. I’m at a complete loss. It’s not connected to any walls or ceiling.

You can see it through two different floors.

Corner Stairs!

I was frustrated by the stairs in this lot in the original building so I tried putting them in the corner. As I'm sure your all aware, the stairs are the glitchiest thing, so this required almost rebuilding the entire house from the ground up to get it to be functional lol

The basement has a separate entrance and so can still function for retail or other purposes.

The outside of the building was slightly modernized but I tried to keep the quirks that give this building character.

I have some custom items in the build (paintings and carpets). I have no idea if they will download correctly. If not, and you would like the files so you can add they yourself, lmk!

Facade test (WIP)

Hello! Just wanted to share my first build in paralives! It’s not complete yet, but this facade is what I want the rest of the build to look like eventually. I love making facades when I have an idea for the style of a building but I’m not sure what I want the layout to be like yet.

Ngl I was kinda intimidated by all the build tools and options at first. I didn’t watch any gameplay videos until launch day so I was a bit in the dark on how everything works, but after playing around for a few days I felt wayy more comfortable. The advanced widget tool is my best friend at atp - learning TOOL in sims 4 was a struggle but it made using the widget feel like a dream in comparison.

Only frustrating thing was that some objects would detach from the build and start floating the air or vanish completely - I tried to use sideways columns for the porch gingerbread but they kept doing this. Eventually I replaced them with an architectural detail instead and that stayed in place for good.

8x3 Container Home

Available on Steam here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3749890412

I built this little container home for u/ParalivesEmmy's challenge. It is fully playtested. I had built a 5x3 tiny home the other day and so the extra challenge I set for myself here was to include a double bed instead of just a single bed - somewhat difficult since as far as I know, Paras can't scoot across the bed, so it has to have enough space to route to each side.

how to build chalet ceilings

Hey folks, I spent nearly 3 hours yesterday trying and researching on how to make this chalet ceiling from the ground and make the wall the same height, as it grows in the perpendicular. Anyone knows anything about it? I would highly appreciate any tips!
