We have a stray that we’ve been feeding for the last 5 months. I’m not an animal person but feel so bad for him. When he first showed up his back was shaved down the middle, he has no voice and his eyes always look a little crusty. He started doing this today and is this normal or should I have him checked out? I want to add that once he was done he started to eat.
Or I believe she’s my neighbor’s indoor/outdoor cat. I’ve seen her being carried into the house across the street from me on occasion. She also typically starts her journey to my house from there. I’ve been calling her Ellie but don’t know her legal name, and despite her rbf, she’s actually a very sweet kitty.
She started showing up at my house a couple months ago. The first time I saw her, she jumped off a roof to run across the street to my house. Since then, she’s been the main beneficiary of the food I leave out for neighborhood cats, and I have treats in my purse and car for if I see her on my way out the door for the day.
I do worry about her sometimes, like right now during any storms, because she has come to my house soaking wet. (If I knew more about her medical history and knew if she would get along with my resident cats, I’d bring her in for a night)
My neighbours cat has made herself at home, beautiful girl ❤️❤️
Rolled in for some chow, pets, and sleep...so predictable
Always have been a dog guy, but this beauty jumped into my kitchen almost as soon as we arrived in a country house we only visit in summer.
Later found out that he belongs to a new neighbour. He comes and goes as he pleases and is being a wonderful holiday surprise for me and my kids!
Moved to a new house in May and ever since I’ve (m23) been feeding this cat that shows up at my backdoor. I think it is a girl and potentially a stray. She seems to be either a stray or poorly taken care pet. I’ve pulled several ticks off of her and she look skinny but not starved, but anytime I put food down “she” eats it all without coming up for air even if I feed her multiple times a day. She has an uncanny ability to just disappear so I have no idea how where she is coming from but i think she may spend some nights under my back deck. She is very sweet and loves attention, pets etc and recently she has started to jump on my outside window seals to meow for pets and food. The problem is i have a poorly socialized male cat who doesnt do well with other kitties at all so i cant let her in even if id live to when it storms or is super hot etc. im not sure what to do from here bc she seems so attatched to people i think she has or has had an owner at some point so i dont want to “steal” her by taking to a shelter if she is someones pet and she honestly seems content outside (never once has even approached my door to come in). Just not really sure what do about her or if i need to change anything that I’m doing to better help her. Any advice is welcome! Thank yall in advance
TLDR-potential stray cat in neighborhood has selected me as its person and I’m not sure what to do
I had this pretty visitor today, such a lovely kitty 🐈 stopped by my yard for a bit, said a quick meow, and hung out while I took a few photos before heading on his way. A busy cat ig.
