On my second trip to Pattaya this year, I met an older lady working on Soi Buakhao. What was meant to be a one-night stand turned into a two-week tour around Thailand. Unlike past experiences, she never asked for money. When I returned for a second trip, we went to Koh Chang. I let her hold the budget, and she was incredibly frugal—some days we only spent 500 baht total, eating at 7-Eleven and walking the beach. She only ever asked for a hat, a cheap bracelet, and fruit.
Before I left, she invited me to stay at her place in Pattaya instead of a hotel. It shocked me. It was a tiny, windowless, musty internal room the size of a prison cell with no hot water, shared with another girl. She cooks on a single rice cooker. After asking direct questions, she opened up: her basic salary was 6,000 baht a month, with half going to rent. Because she’s older, she rarely gets bar fined or bought drinks. She was surviving on the absolute breadline.
She has been 100% transparent with me, explaining all the bar kickbacks and answering difficult questions instantly. There's no way she's hustling others; she's on her phone with me constantly.
I never wanted to be a sponsor, but seeing her struggle made me sad, so I offered her 1,000 baht a week, no strings attached, to help her through the low season until I return in October.
To my absolute surprise, she just told me she has quit the bar entirely and taken a job as a maid cleaning rooms. She said she prefers it because there is no stigma attached to it.
Every other experience I've had in Thailand has felt transactional, but this feels entirely different. She doesn't show off to the other jealous girls in the bar and has treated me with pure respect. I really like her, but I'm not sure where this is leading.
Has anyone else experienced a situation like this where a girl willingly leaves the bar the moment she gets a small safety net? Would love to hear some grounded thoughts.

So I'm sitting in a Risa Massage shop trying out a foot massage for the first time and figured I'd type up one of the more interesting experiences that I've had here.
My Scottish friend introduced me to a club that's a good spot after most bars close. I quickly figured out he enjoys it because there is a super cute waitress there. And to his credit, she's about a 9 physically and an 11 in personality... but she is also as lesbian as they come.

Ended up drinking a whole bottle of Sangsom with them and getting a bunch of numbers from girls who wanted me to bankroll more of their fun (which I have no plans of doing).
At the end of the night i got to see a Tom bar and hang out with hot lesbians, my buddy got to hang out with his hot lesbian, and the girls got to party for free. Obviously nothing sexual happened but it was fun to see a different side of Pattaya and make new friends.

Hi all, I'm going to be flying into Bangkok (BKK) at about 8pm. Will I be able to get through security etc in time for the late bus service to pattaya, or should I stay the night in Bangkok and travel the next day?
