Bought a motherboard from "Clicktech Retail Pvt Ltd" on Amazon India - non-returnable, seller has scam complaints. Cancel or keep?

Ordered the MSI B650M Bomber WiFi motherboard for ₹8,736 from a seller called Clicktech Retail Private Ltd on Amazon.in. Price seemed great, noticeably below other listings for the same board.

I see negative comments on the retailer should I keep the order or cancel it ?

Got scammed when buying RTX 4080 from Monitors.com

I have absolutely no experience with building pcs nor buying components, so this may seem laughable...but I want to warn people about scams.

I bought a RTX 4080 SUPER from monitors.com ($1,099 USD), and description and pictures on their website clearly show that it's NVIDIA RTX 4080 Founders Edition (archived link to page).

However, in reality I received a HP RTX 4080, which is likely a OEM card pulled from pre-built HP computers.

DO NOT BUY FROM Monitors.com!!!

Amazon Motherboard fried my NVME

Hey everyone, I am hoping to get some advice on a really frustrating situation.

Recently, I bought a refurbished motherboard from a retailer. After putting the build together, I noticed right away that the system was not running smoothly. It was unstable and just felt wrong.

To figure out what the issue was, I decided to run a standard stress test. Midway through, the entire PC crashed hard.

When I tried to reboot, nothing happened. After some troubleshooting, I realized my hard drive was completely fried. I have tested the drive in another working PC, and it is completely dead

I live in the EU, so I know we generally have strong consumer protection laws. I assume I can just return the motherboard for a refund or replacement under the statutory warranty for refurbished goods.

My bigger question is about the collateral damage. Do I have any right to claim compensation for the destroyed NVME drive? It was working perfectly fine before the faulty motherboard killed it.

Has anyone dealt with a retailer regarding collateral damage from a faulty part in the EU? Any advice on how to approach customer support or what legal rights I can quote would be hugely appreciated.

Recieved Prebuilt PC with two different brands of RAM installed.

Hey all,

First time PC buyer here. I shopped for a prebuilt desktop at Microcenter yesterday, and the only issue I had with the model I chose was that it only came with one stick of ram. The ram brand on this model was not listed, so a store clerk told me it was G.Skill Flare, and that they sell those separately and can install a second one in store before I check out.

I went with this, purchased the second stick, had them install it. Now when I opened up the desktop at home I see that there is one stick of G.Skill Flare installed alongside a stick labelled Crucial. I've been advised against mixing RAM. So my question is how big of an issue is this? Should I take one out immediately? Should I contact the store that they should have given me the correct information? Or that they should not even have installed the second brand alongside the first?

Thanks for any advice.

Newegg sent the wrong item, then denied my return because the serial number "doesn't match the item ordered"

Hey everyone, looking for advice or just wanting to warn others about a complete logistical nightmare I’m dealing with right now. This whole experience was a disaster from day one. Before I even got a package, Newegg’s automated system kept glitching and canceling my orders for absolutely no reason. It got so bad that I literally had to call customer support so an agent could manually place the order for me. Even while I was on the line with the representative, the system still auto-canceled it right there and then. Eventually, an order finally went through, but that backend chaos clearly broke something. When the box finally arrived, it contained the completely incorrect item. I did the right thing: contacted support immediately, took photos of what arrived, and initiated a return to get what I actually paid for. Now, Newegg has officially denied my return and closed the case. Their reasoning? They claim the serial number of the physical item I sent back doesn’t match the serial number of the order they allegedly scanned at the fulfillment center. Well... obviously it doesn't match. That’s the entire reason I opened the return in the first place—because they sent me the wrong product!
To make it worse, during the runaround with customer support, an agent explicitly noted that the item I received and sent back actually matched a completely different customer's account and order number. This proves their warehouse completely swapped my shipping label with someone else's order, but their system is too rigid to recognize its own cross-linking mistake. I've officially exhausted their support. My final call summary literally states: "A return was denied because the serial number of the returned item did not match the one shipped. The return was escalated to the highest level, but no further action can be taken." Has anyone successfully fought this? I’m preparing to file a chargeback with my credit card company tomorrow since Newegg is refusing to fix their own warehouse error and is essentially forcing me to pay for an expensive item I never received.

Gigabyte India took my monitor twice, both units were defective, now they've ghosted me for 3 months. ₹40,046 down the drain.

I bought a Gigabyte M27Q X 240Hz monitor from MD Computers on 09-09-2024 for ₹40,046 (Invoice No. MDBHU/2500/24-25, Online Order ID #1200053). The invoice itself states "Warranty by Principal Company" so this is squarely on Gigabyte.

Less than a year in, the screen starts showing noise. On a ₹40,000 monitor. Raised an RMA.

Raised RMA KC02-25-A0021 on 08-10-2025 at Prime Infotech Kozhikode, Gigabyte's authorised service center. Took nearly a month to get a replacement unit. That replacement failed within two weeks. Same problem. Noise on screen.

Raised second RMA KC02-2610031 on 15-01-2026. At this point Gigabyte informed me the M27Q X has been discontinued and is no longer being produced.

Their proposed resolution: a pro-rated Credit Note calculated as BP ÷ 36 × months of warranty remaining. That formula gives me roughly ₹22,000 on a ₹40,000 monitor that never functioned properly for any meaningful period. Two defective units within the warranty period, and they want to pay out half.

I sent a formal notice on 16-03-2026 to Gigabyte India's support team, regional heads, and their Mumbai office. It has now been over 3 months. Complete silence. The Kochi service center doesn't pick up calls either.

All documents are on hand: invoice, both RMA acknowledgement slips, and the email thread where their own rep confirmed the discontinuation and proposed the Credit Note.

Someone on r/pcmasterrace just posted about Gigabyte Germany doing the exact same thing with an RTX 4090. Tried to gaslight him into thinking his VRAM failure was not a fault, caved only when he pushed back, then sent him a physically bent and damaged replacement card stuffed into his original box. Same playbook, different country.

Tagging u/GIGABYTEofficial — would love to know what the resolution process looks like from your end, because the India support chain has completely stopped responding.
