Check Returned Because of Missing Date. What is this $85 Balance?
Applied for interlock license about a month ago, wrote a check for $220.50 which was the initial fee I was told to pay. Just got my check returned in the mail because I forgot to date it. My question is, what is this $85.00 that's handwritten on the letter? Is that some fee I have to pay in addition to the initial $220.50? Dubious that the $0 is crossed out and the $85 is handwritten...
I just got off the phone with customer service and the guy couldn't give me a clear answer on what to do, and also said he's unable to "get into the system" to look it up. What should I do to ensure this doesn't happen again? I already have to wait ANOTHER 20 days for them to process again, and I don't know what I'm going to do if I screw this up and they reject me again.
