In August 18, 2016, due to heavy flooding caused by tropical storm Dianmu in Lingao, Hainan, the Lingao Border defense detachment was deployed to conduct search and rescue in it's jurisdiction.
While rescue people trapped in a car, 3 border defense soldiers including Corporal Ouyang were washed away by rapids. Two were later found and were fine, however Corporal Ouyang was declared MIA before he was located the next day at 9:45, having drowned in the floods.
Corporal Ouyang Wenjian(欧阳文健) was born in December 1994 in Guiyang county, Hunan; He enlisted December 2012, and at the time of his death was the deputy squad leader of 2nd Squad, Special reaction platoon(border defense spec ops), Mobile company, Lingao Border management detachment, Hainan border defense corps.
He posthumously recieved the Gold medal of devotion for national defense, a 2nd class meritorious service medal and posthummous CPC membership.
During his 4 years with the PAP Border defense, he recieved two personal commendations and two "excellent soldier" awards.
(The PAP/Ministry of public security border defense corps is a now ministry of public security active service force, which were units manned by active service People's armed police personnel under the ministry of public security/local police departments.
In 2018, the Lingao border defense detachment became the Hainan provincial police coastal police corps 7th detachment, with it's soldiers being converted to people's police.(civil servants))

Each PAP municipal detachment operates a special operations platoon or company; however reportedly in recent months some have been disbanded but that's another story.
FYI the PAP Border defense corps is a defunct military/law enforcement branch that was a ministry of public security active service force; basically, they were active service soldiers of the People's armed police, but they were subordinate to only the ministry of public security border management department and local police departments; In this case the yantai border defense detachment listend to the shandong border defense corps along with the Yantai police.
They no longer exsist post 2018 reforms, now being either in local police or the national immigration administration; in this case, the Yantai border defense detachmment is now the Yantai PD coastal police branch; the Tigershark commando unit is now known as the coastal police branch SWAT team and still exsists as far as we know.
The yantai tigershark commando unit(虎鲨突击队; not to be confused with the PLANMC unit) was established in the early 2010s as a special unit for the border defense detachment. I don't know why they needed a seperate tema for the border defense detachment as the PAP spec ops platoon and SWAT already exsist, but my guess is(i could very much be wrong) they are more qualified with anti-smuggling, VBSS and stuff.

The training exercise simulated a large scale crash along an important highway. It was conducted in joint with the Nanjing FD's Jianing district battalion, Nanjing PD's traffic police, the Jiangning district emergency management militia company and local hospitals/EMS.

essentially their job is enforcing military disclipine among active service; this goes from tidying uniforms all the way to criminal cases.

Two helicopters are also deployed on the mission, appears to be one Z-18 and one Z-9.
FYI the tigershark special operations brigade(虎鲨特战旅) was formerly the 83rd special operations brigade "fierce tigers"(猛虎) that was later handed to the PLANMC. (current unit number is still unknown). Over 20 operators are deployed. (it only said 数十名 aka under 100, over 20.)
This is the first time the PLANS Kunming(昆明, 172) is deployed on a gulf of aden escort mission; PLANS Kunming is a flight I type 052D destroyer and the lead ship of her class.
PLANS Yueyang(岳阳, 575), a type 054A flight II frigate, and PLANS Luomahu(骆马湖, 907, Ex-964), a type 903A fligth I replenishment ship, have been previously deployed to the gulf of aden.

I suggest the chinese gov should tariff goods from the philipines and use the money to compensate their families.
And as always, I suggest we should also allow for looser ROEs for coast guard ships on the frontline, instead of purely using less lethal weapons such as water cannons.

~P.S., I would really like to build more ships or tanks, so make sure to submit some of those too.~
This is the first episode, for which there is currently no English version. The video offers a glimpse into the main combat units of the PLA Army following military reforms, as seen through the eyes of the Chief of Staff (Major) of a combined arms battalion. By drawing a parallel between the Chief of Staff and a symphony orchestra conductor, it illustrates joint operations between the Army, the Air Force, Army Aviation and unmanned systems. The short film skilfully blends the artistry of military discipline with music; should an English version be produced in the future, it is hoped that the translation will achieve ‘faithfulness, elegance and fluency’.
The video primarily showcases the Type 05 Amphibious Armoured Assault Vehicle (ZLT05) conducting a beach landing. As is customary, some footage of the vehicle’s interior has been blurred, presumably for security reasons.
The vehicle has a combat weight of 28.5 tonnes and features a relatively lightweight aluminium alloy armoured hull. Additionally, lightweight supplementary armour has been fitted to the turret, whilst the rear of the turret is equipped with slat armour. The crew comprises a driver, commander, gunner and loader; in line with US Army configurations, no automatic loader is used, presumably due to weight considerations.
This unit is undoubtedly a combat-ready unit from the Eastern Theatre Command tasked with operations to liberate Taiwan. Judging by the close-up at 1:02, upon entering the command vehicle, the Kevlar helmets were replaced with TMT-3 passive tank helmets, though the newer TMT-5 passive tank helmets were not used.
Names and ranks are from the uniform name tags and rank insignia in the full video;
in the full video this was done simultaneously with an anti-submarine exercise, so the text at the end mentions monitoring a submarine. The YJ-20 is not an anti- submarine weapon.
