Pharrell, Clipse & T.I. Keep The Neptunes Era Alive At BET 2026 [Video]

Pharrell was barely in the foreground at the 2026 BET Awards, but he didn’t need to be. He showed up as the narrator during Teyana Taylor’s Icon Of The Year moment with Janet Jackson, and it felt more like structure than spotlight. Even when he’s not on stage, the framing still feels like him.

Clipse were the loudest proof of that legacy. ‘Let God Sort ’Em Out‘ took ‘Album Of The Year‘, fully produced by Pharrell, plus ‘Best Group‘, and ‘Best Collaboration‘ for “Chains & Whips” with Kendrick Lamar. The whole project sits right in that Star Trak lane, stripped-down, sharp, no excess. It doesn’t feel like nostalgia, it feels like the same machine still running, just updated for a different decade.

Kehlani also sits inside that wider orbit at the ceremony. She picked up ‘Best Female R&B/Pop Artist‘, and her link-up with Clipse on “No Such Thing” from her self-titled album ‘Kehlani‘ adds another layer to that Star Trak-connected world. The track itself was produced by ‘Pop & Oak‘, but the placement matters more than the credit.

Then T.I. brought Atlanta straight into the building. He performed his new single “Let ’Em Know,” produced by Pharrell, flipping the stage into full Southern takeover mode. It wasn’t just nostalgia, the new record sits in that same Neptunes pocket of clean, punchy minimalism, where the drums hit hard but never feel crowded.

And even if Chad Hugo isn’t physically in the spotlight, his presence is still embedded in all of it. The Neptunes aren’t a past chapter, they’re the structure underneath. Pharrell might be the visible face, but Chad is in the architecture: the drum patterns, the spacing, the restraint that defined a whole era and still echoes through nights like this. That’s why BET 2026 doesn’t feel like a throwback. It feels like continuation, Star Trak still running the room.

Pharrell Brings Surf Culture, Unreleased Music & A New Creative World To Louis Vuitton SS27

Photos by S. Cardinale/ Corbis, K. Sparow, P. Suu/ Getty, Louis VuittonPharrell transformed Paris into his own version of California for Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, building an entire world around surf culture, music and travel rather than simply presenting a fashion collection. Staged at the Cité Internationale Universitaire De Paris, the runway featured real sand, a giant wave and a moonlit atmosphere that transported guests from central Paris to the West Coast.

The collection blended surfskate and luxury influences with relaxed tailoring, weathered denim, oversized knitwear, beaded jackets and Louis Vuitton surfboards. As always, music played a major role. Pharrell premiered several collaborations during the presentation, including the unreleased tracks ‘Haavin‘ with Quavo, ‘Dead Fresh‘ with Lil’ Baby, ‘Simulation‘ with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, as well as a newly released album version of ‘Bando‘ with Angelique Kidjo and including a new mix. He continues to use Louis Vuitton as a platform to debut new music before its official release.

What makes Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton era unique is that every show feels bigger than fashion. He approaches each collection the same way he approaches an album rollout, creating a complete experience where music, architecture, design and storytelling all exist together. This season felt especially personal. California surf culture was the obvious inspiration, but traces of Pharrell’s Virginia Beach upbringing could still be felt throughout the collection. The result was a balance between laid-back energy and luxury craftsmanship.

The show also took place during an intense European heatwave, with temperatures in Paris approaching 40°C. While other fashion houses adjusted schedules and implemented extra precautions, Pharrell embraced the climate by literally bringing the beach to the city. Beyond the clothes, Louis Vuitton announced a coral reef restoration partnership in French Polynesia, adding an environmental component to the presentation.

Three years into his Louis Vuitton journey, Pharrell continues to redefine what a creative director can be. He’s no longer just designing collections, he’s producing cultural moments. And, as usual, some of the biggest talking points weren’t even the clothes themselves. They were the music previews, the giant wave and the world Pharrell built around them.

Future Teases New Album ‘The Real Me’ With Pharrell [Video]

Future has given fans a first look at his upcoming tenth studio album, The Real Me.
In a short teaser video shared online, Future can be seen in Paris working in the studio with Pharrell. The clip doesn’t reveal much about the music itself, but it confirms that the two artists are collaborating once again.

This isn’t the first time Future and Pharrell have worked together. Back in 2014Future revealed that he had recorded around 11 tracks with The Neptunes. Most of those songs never saw an official release, and it seems unlikely that material from those sessions will appear on the new album.

For now, fans can only speculate about what Pharrell’s involvement will sound like on The Real Me, but the teaser has already created plenty of excitement. Stay tuned for more updates as additional details about the album begin to surface. Check out the teaser HERE!

reference isn't theft.

everyone wants to play spot-the-reference. the people actually paying attention see surf and skate getting pulled into a Dandy language Pharrell already owns at LV. the absorption IS the point.
