Natal Hill s2b to this 14 days. Used pinning agar after cloning the pin. Will run the clone next.
Never ran big monotubs/modified bins but im thinking about making a DIY monotub.
Does upsizing the bin(deeper substrate n more grain spawn) make way to have thicker/larger fruits or just more in quantity?
Is it all up to genetics?
1st 2 jars are lizard king, the last 2 are golden halo both inculcated only 3 days ago pretty fast colonization compared to TAT
Will harvest this weekend but this is the first time I've had a successful flush using broke boi tek, and I'm feeling good! Genetics are Appalachian Witch Tit (GT x Hillbilly). Made my own grain spawn from brown rice and substrate (CVG). Also one of my fastest grows, 38 days from inoculation to this point!
I was wondering if anyone could give me a colonization time estimate. I think I might be away when it fully colonizes and I'd also like to known how long can I keep the jar fully colonized before S2B
How do I tell if it’s mycelium or wet rot
Without opening the jars ( risk-free)
These jars are 8-9 days with 10 ml of LC
Just did S2B on some Golden Teachers. When initiating fruiting conditions should I keep the tent door unzipped for fresh air or are the side vents enough? I don’t have a humidifier or fan going.
Can anytime tell me what the heck is going on with this grain bag? Smells fine and the lumps are getting solid. Is it starting to truffle?
3 shoeboxes same situation.
surface was already colonized on day 3 or 4. they all seemed to have stalled or something, I don’t see any hyphal knots or primordia.
Golden teacher sporeprint -> 3-4 agar transfers -> millet
4th flush2.5dry grand total of 13.39 ounces dry. Happy with that.
Not new to cultivating but I’ll always have questions, there’s way too much to learn. This is supposedly Steel Mag #3. Experienced “rosecomb” mutation once before with an oak ridge grow a few years back. Was informed by Reddit communities that most likely was due to one of two things. Possibly a bacterial contamination, possibly chemical contam from leftover cleaning supplies. Told that the fruit should be “safe”. I did consume the fruit from that oak ridge grow, all was fine.
So my question is, has anyone who’s grown steel mag / steel mag #3 seen this kind of genetic mutation? I cannot say there’s no bacterial contamination (doesn’t seem like it to me though) but I sterilized these bins hours before use and placed on a shelf to dry.
I’m gonna clone the big fruit today. Just wanted to know if these traits are a phenotype that can be reproduced, or just my own error in cultivation.
