First time running these, not sure exactly when to harvest. Secondly, does my projects look good?
Ok, this looks right on track.. cake is still moist… I hadn’t checked in about 4 days.. I opened the lid, gave it a mist. What else ? Just keep an eye on it .. lid is upside down and there is a little FAE going on
Hey y’all, am I looking good? I’ve been growing for an about a year now..how are these looking and what can I do to improve my next starry night project. I decided to do 2 tubs of these I’ll post the second tub in the comments..but how am I looking?
A month ago, I inoculated these Petri dishes with Golden Teacher spores from a vial, intending to create a liquid culture.
However, over the last two weeks, the mycelium seems to have stopped growing or is growing very slowly; it should have been almost fully colonized by the three-week mark. Additionally, some areas of the mycelium have started turning brown.
I cut a piece out a week ago to start a new culture; perhaps it got slightly contaminated then, or maybe some alcohol dripped onto it though I doubt that.
I just wanted to ask if there is a problem with my plates, if there is anything I can do to strengthen them, and if I should proceed with my plans to use them for the liquid culture.
can i leave my colonizing jars in my SAB or would that risk contamination? also are roaches an issue? unfortunately i have enough money for starting this hobby but not enough for a new foundation:/
I'm not sure what to do in this situation as it's never happened before. Has anyone had their spawn jars stall like this in the late stage. These went well the first two weeks and kind of petered out the past two weeks. Should I just wait it out? And how much longer till I call it a wrap?
My pressure cooker only gets to 11-12psi. First run at 60 mins turned dark. Tossed.. this one was at 45 mins little cloudy but not dark. Would you knock up these jars or dump and run a 30 min cycle????
I have a few bags inoculated and they are growing well, but sometimes I find the growth looks full on the outside but not so much in the inside centre. Was wondering what people thought of breaking and shaking more than once to increase access for mycelium to grain?
Trying to induce fruiting today. This mycelium is just growing willddddd😍
Does this look contaminated? This is my first grow and I just opened the bag to start fruiting and I can’t tell if this is contamination or not
Inoculated on this past Saturday and noticed these spots above where the colonization became noticeable. Is this contam or am I fine ?
It’s a little confusing because it’s a 28 quart tub but bottom is only 12x12. And deep! Is deeper substrate better, since I have the room?
