So…

Everyone does it but technically I still haven’t…. My wife dropped my bike today.. The thing is no one is teaching us so we’re both learning. She decided to go for. jock ride once we got to our relatives house. Regardless of the reason as to why, she dropped the bike today, bout an hour ago actually. Only minimal damage suffered… The only thing seemingly wrong is my left side mirror is broken

Question: is there anything else I should be on the lookout for? No prior mechanical experience but a huge urge/drive to learn

Newbie looking for beginner off-road/dual-sport groups around Philly! (Riding a CRF300LR)

Hey everyone!

I'm based in the Philly area and I'm really looking to dive into off-road riding. I ride a Honda CRF300L Rally, which I've been doing some maintenance on and setting up for the trails, but I have little to no actual off-road experience.

I’d love to connect with some local groups, clubs, or experienced riders who wouldn't mind letting a beginner tag along and learn the ropes. I'm willing to learn, take it slow, and just enjoy the ride.

A few quick questions for the local community:

  • Are there any active dual-sport/ADV groups or group chats in the Philly/NJ/PA area?
  • What are some good, forgiving spots for an absolute beginner to practice nearby? (I keep hearing about the Pine Barrens, but I'm not sure which specific areas are best for a first-timer).
  • Any must-have gear recommendations before I hit the dirt for the first time?

Would appreciate any pointers, connections, or advice. Thanks in advance!

Anyone here?

Wheels Down, I’m a new rider, just bought my bike on Saturday…. Just wondering if there’s anyone looking for a ride buddy? I usually ride at night and make a coffee run across the city… I’ve been teaching myself and could use a buddy :)

Update: I’ve been out and still haven’t gotten to take any pics yet, Last night I saw a whole lot of riders and even fell in with a small group for a bit. Shoutout to the guys on the Ninjas! They had LEDs installed so that’s the main thing I remember… Also that I stalled twice out of excitement… Embarrassing lol

What do I need to get a Motorcycle permit?

Went to penndot today with my DL 5 form and the guy said I needed to take the general knowledge test. Would I need to apply for a Drivers license permit and take all those steps to get to the Motorcycle permit? He wasn’t very clear even though they act like dicks when you have a very unsure question.
