Help please

So I discovered I have phimosis after I got into a relationship and had my first sex. It was painful for me when I entered. I can have sex with less discomfort while wearing a condom. After that I started doing stretches, inconsistently. I wasn't able to retract at that time when erect(easy peasy when flaccid). Now I can retract with some discomfort when erect and after retracting while erect ,I can feel tightness around my glans. Is it phimosis or frenulum breve or both. I'm super confused. Help is appreciated thanks!!

Do you have any advice for improvement?

Do you think it's serious, or can I improve it without surgery?

[19M] Started using steroid cream but don't know if im using it right, urologist suggested circumcision which I don't want to do. Am I cooked?

Hey peoples.

K so for some background, I've always realized something was up for years but didn't think to much of it and never bothered to research it. I've never had any problems with peeing or masturbating, and could still pull a small amount back to clean it, so for the longest time I assumed this is how most uncut people just were. However I recently had sex for the first time. Still a good time, but it wasn't very pleasurable and somewhat painful at times. my partner pointed out to me that my foreskin couldn't go back all the way and showed that his easily could (yeah im bi, not relevant).

Afterwards when I mentioned to my brother that I had lost my v card, I brought this up along with. They mentioned our older cousin actually admitted to having this same issue and had to get surgery for it. (It wasn't a circumcision, I forgot it's name and I don't remember completely what the proceedure is, what I do recall is that they cut a part of the frenulum, and you stay awake for it, and surgery on my dick is one of the last things i'd ever want to be awake for).

First I scheduled an appointment at a regular doctor's office, they checked it out and said the frenulum was thick enough to where it could eventually be fixed if i practiced stretching everyday. They scheduled me a steroid cream to help and said to use that twice a day and to practice stretching in the shower (which I already would do to clean it ofc) but they also referred me to a urologist which I saw last week. He on the other hand gave me a more pessimistic outlook. He pushed for cicumsiscion, said it was the most effective solution, especially if the cream does not work. He also mentioned the other surgery my cousin had got was typically meant for older men and not for people my age (said cousin had this procedure around my age and is now in their mid 20's). other than that he said there was no other way to fix this. (which since finding this sub, makes me believe he might have been bullshitting, yet at the same time I don't wanna distrust the guy who decidcated his life to studying how mens dicks work y'know?) Googling the issue afterwards didn't help with that either since alot of forums too pushed for cicumsiscion.

Since using the cream ive seen some improvement but not much. I'm able to stretch back a little bit further but only when I actively and very slowly pull it back. My biggest problem is I don't quite know where exactly to apply the cream, the box it came with was accompanied with a sticker saying to "massage a small pea sized drop to the tight part of the foreskin (inside and out) twice a day" usually I pull back what I can and apply a majority of the cream right onto the frenulum itself and spread the rest throughout the top pinkish part of the foreskin that's up against the head. I can't really apply any underneath in between the foreskin and head when fully pulled back like this so I'm assuming this is what im supposed to do once again but im not confident that this is what im supposed to do.

I also don't know if by "massaging" the cream if it's supposed to be left visible in as you see in the picture, im worried rubbing it all in till its no longer visible will just wear it all off onto my fingers. And as you see it gets onto the head a lot if i stop pulling it back and it retracts.

I'm also wondering how long after or if i even can masturbate with the cream applied. I apply the cream whenever I wake up/fall asleep but also right after I shower (which usually is at night, but not consistently) I usually masturbate right before I go to sleep too.

Like I said since using this I have seen a very small amount of improvement. Browsing this sub and comparing, it doesn't look as if mine is as severe as others on here. I've been able to pull it back some amount prior to this, and granted I am just starting this, but I'm going to be moving across the country very soon and since this all just came up I might not be able to get this cream for some time once im all out of it.

As you can see from the photos ive provided the furthest I can get is just about half way, and that is only when I am actively stretching it out while flaccid. Erect, it doesn't look like there's been too much improvement, and my actual tip is still painfully sensitive when touched. I think like many here the absolute last thing I want to get is a circumcision (or any surgery for that matter, but i have to I probably will, but given it's fucked up history im very anti-circumcision, even for a medical reason.)

I apologize if im not clear on any of the subject matter here, having a dick problem is something ive dreaded ever happening to me and discussing it naturally is difficult, but any help on this I would really appreciate. Thanx <3

Trying to cure Phimosis

Hello, I am 20. I will just get straight to the point. I have been to a doctor and the two options he gave me were either steroid cream or circumcision. I made it clear I don’t want circumcision so he gave me cream. He told me that I have no scarring and I am also when flaccid able to pull my skin all the way back without an issue. He told me to do treatment for 2 months with the cream when I mentioned I heard of other things like stretching he told me he never heard of it. What should I do I will start the cream but after the cream or even during is there nothing else I can do other than go to circumcision? I have met a girl I am obviously a virgin but I do want to have sex with her, obviously with this issue I’m embarrassed and really want to fix it. Any suggestions from anyone who has actually cured phimosis? Thank you.

Grade 4 phimosis, what can help?

I think i grade 4. When fully erect i can retract it with force and it feels tight by the base of the head as if it will snap. What have people done that can help? If stretching exercises, which exercises help? Is there a guide on how to do these stretches?

19 with (mild?) phimosis and scheduling a surgery of some kind, need advice and help.

Hi, I've been dealing with phimosis for as long as I can remember but it never was too too big of a deal for me. I have a couple mental disorders that means that even in my case, phimosis brings me a huge amount of panic and stress in my relationship and personal life.

I have spent a year meeting semi-regularly with a urologist, and truly believe that I will not make progress without medical intervention. I can fully retract my foreskin when soft, and physically can when erect but it pinches in and quickly retracts . I have attempted stretching with cream for months on end, and briefly attempted rings with little success. I fully admit that I do not believe I have the diligence to continuously do stretching for enough time to actually see results, given that 6 months did nothing to change my position.

My quite busy schedule means my only time to do surgery for this is now or a year from now, which is not ideal due to the amount it affects my life.

I understand this sub is very against circumcision and there is a lot of religious conversation surrounding it that changes how people respond. I am not the usual candidate for circumcision as it is not as extreme, so I'd prefer to keep my foreskin as to not make a hasty decision with my addled mind. Is there an option to which I do not have to have a full circumcision, I've seen talks of dorsal slit procedures that sound as if I am the ideal candidate for that.

Input would be greatly appreciated as I have few to talk about this. and if able please keep the conversation strictly medical and leave religious or personal bias aside, seeing so many different perspectives online confuses me and makes me panic about what to do, and many seem to be influenced by things not strictly medical.

TLDR:

My mental health, and daily life is seriously affected by my case of mild phimosis, and have spent years trying to fix my situation. I am actively scheduled for a circumcision about two months from now, but am hoping to see everyone's input and if there are alternatives that are surgical and not too Invasive. Ask any questions if I am missing something or left out info.

Online doctors are WAY less embarrassing than you think

I just did a telehealth visit for phimosis to get a prescription for steroid cream, honestly I wish I did it sooner

It was only $50, I got an appointment the next day and the whole thing was insanely quick. The whole thing was about 2-3 min. I did not have to show my actual private area

I was ready to be questioned abt the most embarrassing stuff but

No exaggeration, he only asked me 3 questions:
“Are you here for the cream?” — I said yes
“What’s your pharmacy?”
“What’s your address?”

Then he just goes “Alright, apply it once a night,” and that was it. The doc wasn’t even looking at my camera most of time just typing and looking at his computer

Honestly such a relief. If anyone’s stressing about getting help for this, it’s really not as bad or awkward as it seems

Painful erections - can still retract(?)

Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.

To cut a long story short, I’ve been dealing with a bunch of doctors who have spent almost two years underdiagnosing and under-treating a skin problem on my penis. The current consensus is psoriasis, and I started taking a systemic medication that has significantly improved the clarity of my skin.

Over the past two years, while I had various skin issues, I also developed symptoms that align with parts of both phimosis and a frenulum breve.

The skin is finally clearing up, but I’m experiencing painful erections. I can retract the foreskin completely and easily while flaccid, but it’s incredibly painful to do so when erect. Once it’s retracted, it doesn’t hurt as much, but it’s uncomfortable and makes masturbation difficult.

Since the foreskin retracts, I’m not sure if it’s phimosis. Could this be just a frenulum breve?

It’s worth noting that while I had plaques and swelling from the psoriasis, I noticed a bend that appears during retraction below the glans. However, it didn’t pull the glans down; it only appeared on the right side of the shaft. I’m not sure if that’s a part of frenulum breve, as most descriptions or depictions of it show it pointing downward, not to one side.

I have tubes of clobetasol from trying to treat the psoriasis, but I’m not sure if it will help to use it to try and stretch the skin.

Stretching works!

Hopefully this type of post is allowed.

I used to doubt stretching as a solution to phimosis, but if you also have your doubts, it does work!!

edit: it's important to note that my phimosis wasn't very severe.

Needing help

I am able to relatively retract flaccid very easily, however when erect it, it's able to retract fairly easily but for it to go back up there is just slight tightness. I was wondering if there is any assistance I could get from anyone here who may be a urologist or is highly experienced with this?

Frenulum breve

Has manual stretching for frenulum breve helped anyone?
And I have heard that it gets back once u stop stretching and applying steroid creams.

Can anyone share their experiences?

Safe to retract at half erect? (VIDEO)

I can fully retract while flaccid with no issues, did a lot of stretching to get there. But haven't tried fully retracting while 100% hard cause I can just "feel" its way too tight, but how about semi erect? Do you think it looks like it would pull back without getting stuck? I'm worried about paraphimosis

Stuck at phimostop #14

Hey there!

After having terrible year with hard plastic rings and then having quick progress (7->13 in three months) with phimostop (softer silicone rings) I am stuck with phimostop size #14.

I recently had a jump in how far I can retract (like whole extra 2 cm after getting those few milimeters of phimosis ring) so now instead of just wiggling my ring in I try to retract as far as possible, put the ring, and then release the skin. However I never get a full grip on the rings and am unable to pull it up and it is quite uncomfortable when one side grips skin and another releases and ring goes sideways

I do think frenulum breeve can be part of it, I am putting more pressure on the front and started focused stretches for it, but if I try to compensate and put ring more towards opposite site of frenulum it still fails to grip at the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock.

Thinking into doing more manual stretches for now, though that didn't produce good results last time I tried, those phimostop rings have been really good otherwise. Let me know what helped you, thanks

Anyone in similar situation, any help? Last stages, Using big rings but can't put them in

I'm using a very large ring-size now in Phimocure kit (around 34mm diameter, phimocure size 14), as skin is too loose for smaller sizes.

When erect it's not gliding back and forth instead bunched up behind the glans.

Off-and-on stretching for years, beginning with severe case.

Now the ring doesn't stay in place and is hard to insert. It quickly pops out.

 • I use Phimocure rings, but any other brand/kit easier to put in?

 • Anyone in the same situation, how do you put big rings in?

Anyone use Phimostop tuboids, are they easier to put in than phimocure rings?

I've been having a hard time using Phimocure rings, as they are difficult to put in.

I saw Phimostop which has tuboid shaped things which may be easier to insert than rings, but it's very expensive at 150 UKpounds or 200 USD.

Anyone used Phimostop tuboids, are they easier than phimocure rings?
