No police or cops as the main character I’m looking for some quality crime shows to watch. Please don’t recommend:
Narcos
Ozark
The Sopranos
I’ve already watched them all.
I’m looking for something with a great story, interesting characters, crime/gangster themes, and a similar level of quality.

I need help finding a series that involves perhaps solving a murder or some sort of high profile crime and it’s just full of twists. I want it to be a film/series where you cannot trust absolutely anyone.

Ideally maybe a UK one but open to maybe a US version

Does anybody know any good specific comedy shows or just funny dramas like mom(adult comedy which I loved) victorious, Gilmore girls, gossip girl, insatiable, on my block? I really like sitcoms, funny relatable dramas, and comedy. I don’t like horror and heavy stuff. I like light comedy with a bit of dramaaaa
I’m 18 and not over my kid shows yet but I want to get into adult shows it’s just hard 😞

Something that goes all out with the costumes, hair, setting, etc. Can be any time period, I'm not picky. I don't care what the genre is either, can be any genre.

I've never watched a period piece show before, but I wanted to give them a try.

Recommendations can be for a series or a mini series. Down for either. We like series with at least 3 seasons though. Characters you really just kind of love or make you laugh or say holy shit. Relatable characters (not so much the scenario but their character). Thanks!!

I tried One Tree Hill but it was too corny for me. What are your other suggestions? I need something addictive to forget about life for a while .

I know everyone always talks about the big heavy hitters like Breaking Bad or Mad Men when it comes to series finales (starting with me!), but I feel like the end of Ozark doesn't get enough love or attention!

Brutal and cold as hell, ok... but it felt so true to what the show was actually about from day one.

No cheap redemption arcs, no magically fixing things, just the Byers being who they always were and the reality of how that world works!

Idk, the more time passes, the more I appreciate how ballsy and fitting that last episode was.

What did you guys think of it? Did it land for you or did you hate how it wrapped up?

(I think it might be time for a re-watch 🙃)

As for the show itself, this is awesome. A lot of people are put off by it because of the bullying, but believe me, the romance becomes very beautiful very quickly. Nagatoro isn't even all that annoying to be honest. It's a really good slice of life rom com, with good character development and nice pacing. I love it overall

I am new to this Sub and looking forward to watching more telenovelas/shows having unusual and unexpected love triangle as seen in JTV and Lo que la vida me robo.

So, basically 2 Men 1 Woman Love Triangle shows where the woman is in a happy and stable relationship with her partner but due to unusual circumstances/plot twists (like Artificial Insemination, Forced Marriage, Presumed Death etc), another guy enters the plot and the woman's romantic landscape slowly shifts towards the new guy.

La que no podía amar and Younger are few more examples of exactly what I am looking for.

Can you guys help me with these type of global shows.

What intro never gets skipped for you?

My absolute top 5 are:

1. True Detective (Season 1): it sets the dark atmosphere instantly.
2. The Leftovers (Season 2): Let the Mystery Be by Iris DeMent (Season 2). Perfect contrast to the heavy tone of the show
3. Friends: I'll Be There for You by The Rembrandts. Iconic, nostalgic, and impossible not to clap along.
4. Twin Peaks: Falling by Angelo Badalamenti. That's so hypnotic and haunting (sets the mood like nothing else).
5. The White Lotus (Season 1): Aloha! by Cristobal Tapia de Veer. Weird, anxious, and insanely catchy.

What are your top picks?

After hearing people praise this show for literally years, I finally decided to dive in. Safe to say I just binge-watched the entire first season in a couple of days!

What blew me away the most is how complex and morally gray every single character is.

Every single one of them!

It's like there are no "good guys" or "bad guys"... just real, flawed people caught in intense situations.

The dynamics and relationships between them are written so damn well, and I still am at the beginning!

And don't let me even start on Omar Little❤️

He is an absolute legend. The moment he came on screen I knew he was gonna be a favorite. The scenes where he walks with the shotgun under his coat are incredible!

Now he is leaving for New York 'cause he doesn't believe the truce Even proposed to him...

Please tell me I'm gonna see him again🙏🏼

Starting Season 2 tonight!

My top 3 gotta be:

1. Please Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro (season 1). I LOVE how euphoric and upbeat it sounds, I listen to it almost everyday, sometimes looped and have never gotten tired of it.

2. Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated. It sounds so mysterious, yet mellow. It's like you just realized something insane about the town you've lived in your whole life, so you look out the window and think "what else does it hide?"

3. Spongebob Squarepants. Yeah, I just love it

Honorable mention: Curb your enthusiasm, very legendary, was a meme if you can remember it

Just finished SAS Rogue Heroes and need a new show to get me through my commute.
