Got a super rare Nintendo Pin today

I got super lucky and got an extremely rare Nintendo Mario Forklift pin today.
This pin was given to Nintendo employees who got their Class 1 Forklift certification in the 1980’s.
I’m glad to have this as a pin collector!
I’ve seen one sell for $500, which is crazy to think about.

Authentic?

Found this pin at the Fort Lauderdale airport. ChatGPT says it’s not authentic, but I wanted to get human opinions lol. Either way it’s cool!

Is this real?

Looking through my old stuff when i was into military stuff. I dug upon this Nazi badge and asked Google Lens to help me identify. It was apparently the gold version awarded to German soldiers who fought for the Nationalists in the Spanish Civil War. I don’t know if it’s real or not as:

It feels smooth

The eagles are not printed on the swords but instead are like seperate parts and are on top of the swords

Has some type of bottle cap pin

The pin part is mostly thin from top to bottom

Can anyone help me identify it this is real or not and if it’s worth a lot?

CPSC? Are U.S. customs rules for pins actually changing, or is this being overblown?

I’ve seen a few people saying that metal pins may now be restricted from entering the U.S. because some pin-related HTS codes show up on a CPSC list.

But I’m wondering if that is being overstated.

My understanding is that this may be more about CPSC eFiling and certificate data at import, not a blanket ban on pins.

For people who buy, sell, make, or import pins:

Have you heard anything from UPS, FedEx, customs brokers, or manufacturers?

Do you think this will affect normal enamel pins?

Or only products marketed toward children, toys, or kids’ jewelry?

I’d like to hear how others are interpreting it.

What’s your biggest pet peeve with pins?

What’s your biggest pet peeve with pins? Not necessarily something that ruins the whole pin, just something that annoys you every time you see it. For example: pins that spin too much, back posts in awkward places, weak rubber clutches, product photos that do not show the actual size clearly, tiny text that looks fine online but is unreadable in person, pins that are too heavy to wear, backing cards that look better than the actual pin, or designs that look great from far away but messy up close. For collectors or people who actually wear pins, what is the one thing that instantly bothers you?

Pin collection (100+)

It is referred to as my pin bible, I LOVE TRADING but sadly trading event are usally only for Disney pins only since I'm in central fl. My collection is the perfect example of how I feel about pins which is if it's pretty, or does something cool I will probably want it emphasis on the does something cool part, I LOVEEE interactive pins. Around half or more of my pin were acquired through trades and I have a good amount that are from specific clubs or events. Anyways enjoy! My last two pages are my non tradeables either cause I like them too much or they have sentimental value. Ex: the cat and frog bobble pins which were given to me by my little sister. I'll post the vids of the interactive sin the comments

Any ideas for how to safely attach pins/badges to my bag??

Hi!! I've always been in love with pins and the way they look, especially on bags, but in the past, I haven't exactly had a great time with them unfortunately...

Now I'm looking to decorate my (thrifted) Juicy Couture bag with some, but obviously it's kind of a weird material for pins since it's like a crushed velvet all around the bag pretty much. I've tried to research the best ways to attach them online like through attaching them on another keychain, different backs, etc. Although even with those ideas, I don't think lanyards or lots of accessories would be big enough to display multiple at least.

It is also a side note that I do plan on making my own pins.

I'm not really sure since I'm only giving pins another try after a few years and maybe someone here would have some recommendations or ideas of what to do.. or if I'm just destined to have no cute pins on my bag :(

Anyone know where this mongoDB pin is from?

I found this cool enamel pin and I've looked up the company. It seems to be a tech company but this appears to be more ornate than their typical branding. I was curious if anyone knew anything about this pin.
