Why doesn't Pixiv just ban AI?

Looking at the recent shadowban incident, it's clear they don't exactly like AI art. Currently, Pixiv is the main hub where AI creators flock to promote their work. If AI gets banned here, most of them will lose their momentum. Why do they just leave AI art alone, especially when they already banned it on Fanbox a while ago? Do you think there's any chance they will ban AI art in the future?

Pixiv's New Wave of Mass Shadowbans Starting June 29 is Different From Before

I have a main account and several alt accounts. In the past, shadowbans were always handled on an individual account basis. However, starting on June 29, several of my accounts were shadowbanned simultaneously. These accounts have almost nothing in common, and the links in their bios are completely different from one another. Does anyone know how to fix this or what I should do?

Pixiv AI Bro Rant

Apparently some AI bro on Pixiv got uppity with and eventually blocked me as I can no longer comment, message or follow them and another one claimed that they got hit with a Cease and Desist which prevented them from doing stuff for Xenogears' Elhaym Van Houten and KOS-MOS from Xenosaga despite the latter being one of the flagship girls they did.

I swear, not only are they killing this planet faster but they cannot so much as meet requests and come up with a thousand excuses that flesh and blood artists can at least eat shit for given desperation they are having to beat these Clankers.

I almost want Pixiv to adopt a No AI policy just for this shit.

I got a message from them but due to them blocking me and how Pixiv works,I can't even see the frigging message. Yeah,I kinda am starting to hate the site these days as my own work has been getting ass reamed for years.

Any updates on mass shadowban situation

I'm sure many creators might have noticed that Pixiv started shadowbanning all posts from any creator if they violate some new rule(s) they issued since March/April 2026.

They haven't mentioned what the rule(s) are but creators who have been shadowbanned have noticed it was mainly to do with promotion (Patreon, etc) in the post descriptions.

I had my account shadowbanned and after waiting 2 weeks I made a post with nothing in the description and it wasn't hidden.

Was wondering if anyone has discovered anything new?

Fanbox Post Lock

Hello, I already sent an email over to Fanbox. But I thought I might give it a crack and see if anyone else is having the same issue.

But this recently became a problem. I don't know when, but I know it was recent because it was never like this, I think, a month or so ago.

Essentially, when I'm checking posts that require you to support the creator. For some reason, whether I'm on mobile or PC, the post's images don't seem to load. I thought it was just my Wi-Fi or internet connection.

But then I noticed a lock symbol next to the posts I'm trying to look at. Now this is only for paid posts and not for All User posts; they seem fine for me to access. It only seems to be happening to posts that have this lock.

So I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about them, or possibly know of a solution?

(Just to preface, I usually support/view NSFW artists. So it's probably a factor, yeah?)

Pixiv is fucking garbage right now

Recently, Pixiv has been hitting creators with a massive wave of shadowbans (search bans), using some bullshit excuse about "posts likely to violate guidelines."

The massive fucking problem here is that Pixiv claims they're doing this to "prevent posts that interfere with users discovering artwork," but the reality is completely the opposite.

For example, a creator who posts one high-quality piece a day gets shadowbanned, while some spammer shitting out 6-7 low-quality garbage posts a day doesn't get touched at all and is doing just fine.

You know what the difference between the two is? I don't fucking know either, because Pixiv absolutely refuses to tell anyone LMAO.

But from what I've observed watching other creators, it seems like their main targets are artists who use external links to sell paid content. Generally speaking, creators who sell their work have a very high baseline for quality because they actually need to sell it. At least, that's what I've seen.

But since Pixiv is shadowbanning all these good creators, the end result is that all the decent quality uploads are gone, and the site is now just completely flooded with meaningless, dogshit AI spam.

The people running Pixiv are absolute fucking idiots.

When did Pixiv/Fanbox start allowing Amex as a payment?

Sorry if this post seems to be low effort. I really haven't use Pixiv or Fanbox in over a year. Just found out that my favorite artist started posting to their fanbox again and I was overjoyed. While I was entering one of my cards in, I didn't realize they started allowing American Express as a payment method. Luckily I have one. It use to be the duopoly of Visa and MasterCard. Curious to know when it start to happened. I'm going to assume it something beneath the surface because of what's going in the world which is unrelated to Pixiv.

[USA] Anyone else having issues paying when submitting requests?

Been using my bank's CC ever since PayPal was suspended, and even submitted a request this past Tuesday. Tried to submit another request to a different artist yesterday, but I'm suddenly having issues when the payment is being processed.

Not sure if it might be an issue with the 3D Secure stuff (based off the URL), but I checked pixiv's news announcements and even called my bank but there are no apparent issues. My bank doesn't even have any records of any declined transactions.

Also tried some fixes for DNS issues as well as a different browser (Firefox), and even a VPN, all with no luck.

I suppose I can try reaching out to pixiv but wanted to see if it was just me or something first XD

Edit: Also had issues with skeb, which interestingly also uses 3d secure, tho skeb points could be purchased just fine

Edit #2: I had reached out to pixiv and they confirmed it was some issue with 3D Secure, unfortunate
