Played all of the Bayonettas, Vanquish, Nier:Automata and Revengeance on launch and beat most of them multiple times. I never had a switch but recently got a switch 2 and decided to try Astral Chain.

I got my first Legion in the tutorial and I know I'm VERY early in the game but does combat loosen up or have more depth? I may be misremembering but I feel like Platinums previous games had a good amount to do even at the start and between weapon switching and the limited melee attacks I'm a little confused. I'm definitely going to continue but I'm just curious how much leeway to give the game.

I think I mostly need reassurance this isn't another Babylon's Fall type of game.
