🍄 A LITTLE PT UPDATE — WE’RE STILL HERE!
I know I don’t post much over here on Reddit these days, and that’s mainly down to the whole Face ID bullshit 😂 but I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that PT is very much alive, still growing and absolutely booming.
A lot has been happening behind the scenes, and PT has grown into way more than just this subreddit.
So if you’ve been wondering what we’ve been up to, here’s what’s going on and where you can find us.
If you’ve been around since the early days, thank you for sticking around. 💜
And if you’re new here, come and get involved.
Ask questions. Share your grows. Tell us what you’re working on. Come and listen to the podcast. Join the Discord. Come hang out on the live shows. Or just lurk in the shadows like the rest of us sometimes. 😂
PT is built by the community, and there’s plenty going on.
🍄 WHAT IS PT?
PT (Platypus Technical) started with a few conversations about mushrooms and has grown into a community covering much more than mycology.
We’re about learning, growing, exploring, creating and sharing experiences — without the gurus, hype or gatekeeping.
PT brings together people interested in:
🍄 Mycology & cultivation
🌿 Cannabis & cultivation
🌵 Cacti & ethnobotany
🐝 Beekeeping & the natural world
🧠 Psychedelics, experiences & inner exploration
🌱 Grow-alongs & community projects
🎨 Creative projects, art & 3D printing
🎵 Music & songwriting
Built on spores, not sermons.
🎙️ PT SPORECAST
The PT SporeCast is where we take the conversations further.
Guests, growers, researchers, creators and people with interesting stories and experiences — covering fungi, cultivation, psychedelics, consciousness, culture and plenty of rabbit holes along the way.

🍄 90 SECOND MYCOLOGY
PT also teams up with 90 Second Mycology for 3-hour+ live episodes on Cultivr.
Long-form conversations, mycology, growing, experiences and community discussion — basically the stuff that doesn’t fit into a 90-second video. 😂

🎵 PT MUSIC
Music has become another part of the PT journey — taking experiences, thoughts, stories and reflections and turning them into sound.
🎛️ PT UKG EP
The first PT music project, born from wanting to turn thoughts and experiences into something that could be listened to on the go. A collection of UK garage tracks with that late-night PT feel.
🌊 Beneath the Surface
A more personal and reflective project exploring what sits beneath everyday life, community, growth, self-reflection and the experiences that shape us. Late-night 2-step garage with a more emotional side to PT.
🔮 The Calling
A psychedelic journey in album form, inspired by a powerful 7g Maria Sabina & Flipper experience that became the catalyst for this chapter of PT music.
🌀 Beyond the Veil
The journey continues beyond The Calling.
A blend of psyDub and UKG, atmospheric textures, Rhodes, rolling subs, shuffled drums and psychedelic influences — exploring altered states, inner realms, changing perspectives and what lies beyond the everyday.
Featuring No Hype, Myco Day, Change My Frequency and Start Here.

📚 PT BOOKS & WRITING
PT also has a growing collection of books and written projects exploring psychedelic experiences, personal growth, mycology, inner exploration and the journey behind PT.
Including My Micro Journey with Psilocybin, Psycho Platy’s Mycelial Alchemy and The Platypus Chronicles.
🌱 GROW ALONGS & COMMUNITY PROJECTS
We’re not just about talking about growing — we like getting stuck in.
Grow Alongs give members the chance to grow together, share progress, troubleshoot problems and learn from each other.
Alongside that we’ve got community projects, collaborations, experiments, knowledge sharing and plenty of other things happening behind the scenes.
🖨️ PLATYS PRINTS
Platys Prints is the creative and 3D-printing side of PT, designs, creations, custom projects and community ideas brought into the physical world.
Because apparently fungi, podcasts and music weren’t enough. 😂
🏆 WARCHEST
The PT WarChest is our community raffle and giveaway project.
Regular draws, prizes, collaborations and community giveaways, putting something back into the community that built PT.
💬 THE PT DISCORD
This is probably the best place to properly get involved with PT.
The Discord is where a lot of the day-to-day community happens, discussions, grows, projects, events, SporeCast conversations, support, knowledge sharing and the general Puggle chaos.

💜 SO YEAH… PT IS STILL HERE.
It’s just grown beyond Reddit.
What started as a small community around mushrooms has become mycology, cultivation, psychedelics, cacti, cannabis, bees, music, podcasts, books, art, 3D printing, grow-alongs, live shows, community projects and a whole lot more.
So if you’ve been away for a while, come see what we’re doing.
If you’re new, come and join us.
And if you’ve been here since the beginning…
You already know. 💜
Knowledge over ego.
Community feeds itself.
Built on spores, not sermons.
🍄🌿🌵🐝🎙️🎵🧠🖨️💜
Probably not a cult.
