Bring-Arts Cloud, Sephiroth + Vincent Edits

Not the best figures, but certainly far from the worst. I think i may have the reissued versions as they're quite sturdy aside from Sephiroths bicep swivels.

Play Arts Shin (True) - Zidane Tribal

FF9 is my favourite, and play arts has been a hit or miss when it comes to their figures. I am so proud to say that Zidane, out of all the play arts including the other few Shin figures, is probably the best SquareEnix has ever made to date. They didn't mess up any details, they stayed faithful to his design language unlike his past edgier redesigns I absolutely loathe, and added so much intricate details to his character we could only have imagine when we were staring at his outfit 20+ years ago. It just feels so out of the blue, as a massive FF9 fan I feel seen by Square, and them putting so much love and care to this one character from a line not as popular as their bigger ones just puts a sense of bewildering wonder in me.

As a figure he functions well enough. No crazy revolution in articulation or anything, and the joints tends to be a little too loose. They need to nail down the joints as they have relied on their ratchet system for too long, now that they tried normal friction based joints system that allows for better posing, they have yet to find the proper calibration for such important things. Otherwise, hands-down the BEST play arts they have made ever, in my humble opinion.

Cissnei custom figure update #3

The headsculpt is done, I went with a more serious facial expression than the ingame model. The body and the shuriken need couple of finishing touches and a final coat of varnish. This is what I am working with right now.

I will be busy for the next couple of weeks so the post with a complete figure with some cool poses and proper photos will have to wait a bit. Hopefully you like the work so far.

The Likeness is Pretty Great on Play Arts Shin Cloud

I know that the eyes may seem a tad too large/wide open and some of the hair bangs being a little too short for my taste. Overall, I love this figure, it's like he stepped right out of the game and is definitely a big step up from the version 2 figure. Which figure do you prefer more?

Looking for Bring Arts Barret

The one time I hold off and see if a figure drops in price, it gets completely discontinued and seemingly (?) wiped from the internet entirely while I'm not looking. Nothing on the SE website, nothing on the aftermarket sites. It's kind of eerie to be honest. Poor Barret.

Anyway, I thought I'd ask if anyone is looking to part with their Bring Arts Barret for the right price. I do not care at all about boxes, I collect for the love of displaying. Ideally complete, but at this point I'm entertaining any option. Thanks for reading!

P.S. If this isn't the right place for this sort of post, I'd appreciate any suggestion for where to go instead.

Can't believe I finally got them!

After years of searching for them, I finally managed to find them at a convention for a super reasonable price!! The total for the Kingdom Hearts trio was €164 (around $187) Still can't believe Kairi was only €35.... My first thought was they obviously must be bootleg or something, but after closer inspection of both figures and boxes (see 4th pic) I can say with full certainty that they're real. Now if only I could find Aqua and Roxas....

Has anyone seen anyone selling one or where do I look? Been trying for years but no luck, curious if anyone else has had this problem

Og play arts cloud

I found this cool og play arts cloud for 15 bucks but outside of the stand i don't have the other hands or the buster sword. For a 19 yo figure he's great and i love the 1997 chara designs so i'm good !

PAK display cleaned up and reorganized

Today I finally got around to doing something I've been putting off for ages. I took all figures out of the display, cleaned the whole thing, swapped the LED lights for cold white lights and reorganized the figures.I realized I might have a problem when they were spread out on the floor and there were so many of them accumulated obver the years.

The display itself was a bit of a project too. I had a very specific space to work with - wanted the width to be 100-105 cm and arpund 35-40 cm deep. Spent a long time trying to find a cabinet with the right dimensions, but never found anything that really fit. In the end I had one custom made last year. The shelves are also custom made, 20 mm thick acrylic because with the weight of PAK figures I didn't want to deal with sagging shelves down the line. The shelves were expensive as hell but it had to be done. I still got a couple more figures planned for this year, but it's getting crowded as it is.

Anyway, now that everything is cleaned up and back in place, I thought I would share a few photo of my cabinet, new lights and all of my play arts kai figures in one place

I'd also love to see how everyone else displays their collection. What kind of lighting do you use and how you set it up? Any custom cabinets, shelves or any clever solutions for displaying but not making it look crowded. It's Always fun seeing other people's setups and maybe picking up a few ideas.
