Question on the combat.
Is WindRose's combat more fluid and better overall then Conan Exiles?
To me Conans was very clunky and just not fun or desirable.
Does WindRose have the exact same clunky combat or is it more fluid and less clunky?
WIP Main house / base
Main house and pool / Crafting garage / Garden / wall of fame / kitchen.
Adding a lighthouse and tavern soon and a better pier
My humble endgame base
Not nearly as spectacular as some builds, but I like to think it's aesthetically pleasing. You have the wharf with docking for all ships and ship services, the main house, the smithy, and the workers' house. And plenty of room to expand. Still a work in progress (it's never finished), but it's come a long way. I did consider filling the whole area in with stone and making it level, but tried it and decided it looked better when you could see the natural shoreline more; it had a completely different "feel" to it that was less relaxing.
Ships:
Amistad - Ketch
Gillette - Brig. I'm hunting Blackbeard; it's a beard trimmer.
Wolf's Claw - Frigate
Is it just me?
or does all of your crew get slaughtered trying to board a lvl 5 Blackbeard hauler as a lvl 4 player, leaving you to fight a 7 on one, which is impossible to win. Playing solo sucks in this game, you just want to board a lvl 3 hauler just for 2 lvl 5 to sail up on you, and after using 5 battle repair kits just to put them all into boarding, you die on deck just to lose all that effort. Coop is fun, but solo is just one 1 v 3-5 after another, and it's starting to make me hate this game. Thanks for letting me vent. I'm just done with solo from now on. It's not worth playing something that is supposed to be fun if it just pisses me off. If I wanted that, I would just play Dark Souls
For the love of God I died a week ago I don't need to still see my post mortem cache on the map.
Title. My body had a single plant fiber on it. Why is it still there?
just started this game, and the main quest where you rescue people and get a new ship are on a different isalnd
what do I do?
Pimp my bell
1st and last are my fav I think? Anyone else try and spruce up their bell.....? :D
10+ empty islands on my map. Is this normal?
Or did I just got a shitty seed? Also the whole southwestern quadrant of the map is just water. Incredibly boring
Pimp my workbench :)
You have to point your cursor at the any of the tools on the bench to interact, the top is hidden by mahogany floor pieces.
Should I buy it?

Bonfire setups
Looking to start a new base soon, wanting to get some ideas for bonfire areas and better blending in than my last attempt. I have to hunt down a picture then I'll post it
Evolution of My Second Base
After a few weeks of working on it. I am really enjoying this game's build system, except when I need to place something really low or really high.
New ship build (warship)
Last time was just for a home base but this time i guess its the same but more ship accurate this time
More of the Town
My workshop, workers quarters above the workshop, my pub, upper town square, and lower dock showing market and outside of workshop.
I recreated the manor from Clair Obscur
WIP. Took some liberties of course but did my best to replicate it as accurately as possible. Still trying to find a good use for the atelier since a painting workshop doesn't really match the vibe of Windrose
(WIP) From the left - lighthouse, upper storage warehouse, pirate headquarters, gatehouse & pully bridge, jail. With docking & a central tavern beneath & drydock & boat workshop to the right. Pictures include: Shipyard, Upper storage, Market, War-room inside of suspended, repurposed ship.
I’ve tried to make this as believable & operational as possible with the use of pully lifts, bridges & cranes for the movement of materials & storage. One of my favourite details is the hanging cages inside of the archway. (This is a repost as I realised I missed a lot of the good close-up pictures in my previous post).
Side note: The lighthouse was taken from a guy on Youtube called ‘Chiselchip’. So full credit to him on the lighthouse. The rest of the base was all me.
Finally Built My First Frigate
Went with the Blackbeard Variant. I want those 36 pounders.
Is it possible to not be able to find all the crafting recipes due to limited activities/islands in EA?
I am currently end game and tried to go around to each biome to clear chests and rewards, trying to unlock all the crafting. I referenced a list of all the crafting recipes available in the game and realized I’m still missing a few of them, like rugs and paintings.
My world map says I’ve cleared all unique locations, which I assume means I’ve found every island in each biome- does that mean if there are no more islands with locations to clear that I can’t unlock them until they release more biomes?
Appreciate the help if anyone knows how it might be possible to unlock everything, or if there’s some way to check I’ve missed something.
