Hey there, Wanted to express my love for the club from overseas!

I'm from NH, USA, but found the club via my Ancestry, where my Great Grand Grandfather's side of the family was born in Redruth, England, and Plymouth Argyle is the closest club to there. So, I started watching recently. I'm probably the farthest away Plymouth fan, but I can't wait to buy next season's kit, likely with personalization. Much love from your former colony!

Bali Bali Bali. Where did that 2022 & 2023 form go?

Struggled in a struggling side. But in the end, it was excellent business to sell him for what we did. A frustrating player at times, but he needs his confidence back. 3 assists in 25 appearances isn't horrendous, but ultimately it should've been a lot more from him.

Season Rating: ⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A season to forget for Bali. Best of luck to a lad once adored by our fan base, but a move that suited all parties. Not got any reason to root for Huddersfield next season, but good luck to him personally.

Pete O'Rourke: Argyle & Joe Edwards have come to an agreement to keep Edwards at Home Park

Will await confirmation from the club... But O'Rourke is usually bang on the money.

Great news!

ANOTHER ONE!

In the words of DJ Khaled... "Another one"

24th May 2026 is the caption (when the kit launches).

Any thoughts?

u/xrgyle — 2 days ago

What does this mean?

Argyle tweeted a video of this rope with the date 24.05.26.

It's obviously something to do with the kit. But what? Is it a rope pattern? The colour?

It doesn't look anything like the design that was leaked recently - so perhaps that wasn't the kit.

Any ideas??

A bang average season for Ogbeta, which is a bit of a surprise given his League One prowess a couple of years back. Never particularly rated him myself. Defensively not switched on enough and not lively enough going forward.

Season Rating: ⭐ / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ogbeta has unsurprisingly been released. Good luck Nathanael.

Szucs should've blown League One out of the water. He came to Argyle on the brink of becoming a Hungarian international. He is rapid. He is tall. He is superb on the ball.

This season, we saw basically none of that. He was late to block crosses, he hardly won an aerial duel.

He showed a few moments of quality, but very rarely.

He got sucked into being a losing player in a losing team and moving him on was another piece of excellent business in January.

Season Rating: ⭐ / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great business to sell in Jan. Best of luck to him. Next!

Argyle & Edwards struggling to reach agreement, says Peter O'Rourke

Find this a little hard to believe. Not because I doubt the source, but because surely he pretty much gets what he wants and surely he doesn't take the piss either?

If he wants two years but the club have only offered one, just give him two years, right?

He's a club legend. Not sure why we would be messing around over this. Not sure why he would need his agent to drum this up with O'Rourke either. He won't exactly be being offered peanuts...

This guy. Pretty tidy on the ball, fantastic in the air... Absolute bloody rock in the back line. Compliments Ross / Pleggy / ball playing centre-backs excellently. Struggled at the start of the season, like everybody did, but once he settled he was integral part to our success.

4 stars for the season and an extra star for post match interviews and celebrations to match.

Season Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mitch returns to Charlton with half-baked Argyle legend status. He's a must sign.

I would say that Home Park has lost its voice since late 23, and I think that is perhaps down to having our fingers burnt during a beyond-miserable 2-year spell - so it's regrettable that "Alex Mitchell, we want you to stay" wasn't sung with a few bonus decibals.

25/26 Player Spotlight: Wes Harding

25/26 Player Spotlight: Wes Harding

Appearances: 14 (12 starts)

A great Jan signing. I was a little bit concerned about his aerial ability, particularly with how he struggled in the first half against Cardiff (H), but other than that, he's been very solid. Good tackler, great experience and level-headedness. Good crosser of the ball and delivered plenty of chaos with an actual - real - long throw.

Season Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wes Harding returned to Millwall and has been released.

I think he's an obvious signing. He's fit and firing. He's got the experience and is the perfect signing due to being a free agent and being versatile across the back line.

It's project promotion, so give him a two year deal.

Year one, promotion. Year two survival. Then reassess. Come on down Wes!

A high quality left-back who is another player who's season has been completely hampered by injury. When he has played he's looked a really bright prospect. He's tough, good on the ball and got great defensive awareness. 3 stars for me, based on what he did do when he played.

Season Rating: ⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I reckon he'll be a huge player next season. Full pre-season behind him and he'll be excellent I reckon.

Ryan Hardie back to Plymouth Argyle? It can ease Lorent Tolaj exit fear

For once a headline that actually sums up the text of the article.

Not a lot of new information here although I do agree with what they are saying! Let’s bring Ryan home.

25/26 Player Spotlight: Matty Sorinola

25/26 Player Spotlight: Matty Sorinola

Appearances: 36 (26 starts)

Minutes: 2440

Goals: 1

Assists: 1

I think players like Sorinola have a tough time with being used properly. He's probably not got the height / strength / aerial ability to be an out and out full back, but not got the attacking quality to be a winger. Getting him into the 4-4-2 as a wide-midfielder was a stroke of genius though.

I was surprised to read how many games he's played this season. I felt as though he was injured more often. He's had an OK season, nothing great, nothing poor.

Season Rating: ⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I believe we now enter the final year of Sorinola's deal. Will be interesting to see what happens here with him. Cleverley clearly rates him, but I wonder if we may prioritise bringing in a more physical left-back and more creative wide players fit for the Championship, before offering Matty a new deal. Does this therefore mean Matty will be out of the door this summer to make way for new players?

Evergreen is changing for the 2026/27 season | Plymouth Argyle

What do we think about this, any guesses on what's changing?

Personally, whilst I like supporting the club, I don't find Evergreen great value for money, I pay just over 400 quid a season for me and my two boys for ticketing priority which feels like quite a chunk of cash tbh, it's also always irked me that there are very few games that the ticketing priority is actually useful for, I realise that you've got to give perks to the ST holders, but it's annoying that an ST holder that's never been to an away game get priority over evergreen members with hundreds of points.

Personally I'd like to see something like Flexi tickets back, I thought it was a much better value scheme.

25/26 Player Spotlight: Brendan Galloway

25/26 Player Spotlight: Brendan Galloway

Appearances: 24 (18 starts)

Minutes: 1579

Goals: 2

Assists: 0

I believe that the narrative around Galloway is that he's been missing most of this season, which I don't believe is the case. He did suffer a couple of injuries, but I believe he was available for large parts of the season and simply not selected.

Quality player who was always good when we played. A Championship LB on the pitch. Pretty much always reliable, great tackler, great ball progression, wins ~85% of his duels.

Season Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Brendan Galloway has been released and leaves Argyle as a title winner and centurion. His body has let him down time after time, but ultimately he should be playing in the Championship if his body would allow it. Due to lack of selection by Cleverley and BG's most recent injury, it seems sensible that this is where we part ways. Good luck, Brendan!
