I decided to play around a bit with Ace's glitch in my Fire-Red Pokémon save on the Nintendo Switch. I executed the glitch and even multiplied some items, but I just can't get the auto-trade code to work.After naming the boxes with the code characters, the NPC only displays their dialogue box and nothing happens. I've already used the codes from Papa Jefe's video and even generated my own, but nothing worked.
Can someone explain why this happens?
I set up the glitch like people say online: poisoned, random encounter at the last trainer in the forest, die, lose to rival, find a level 3 Pidgey and growl at it 6 times, enter forest.
Here is my issue... the last 2 level 3 Pidgey I found only let me growl at it 5 times, and then says, "nothing happened." Keep growling, same thing. Go into the forest, level 2 Nidoking.
What is the deal with Growl? I've tried level 4 Pidgey and I get level 1 Slowbro. What am I missing with this? Why does this happen and how do I fix it so I can move forward? First time struggling with this glitch for some reason.

Hi my fellows pokémon fans. So, about this glitch, I've first heard of it today (I'm 31 and play pokémon since 4 or 5 years old) and I'm trying some stuff with this Old Man Glitch. So I've got some questions that I could not find online.
Ok, so the glitch depends on your name for the pokémon that will appear, and, I don't know if it is in every case, but it can be used to help with the saffari hunt, because of the grass tiles there. If I go to any route with grass, find a pokémon for that route, and do the glitch, all the pokémon for that area will appear? What about Pokémon Mansion in Cinnabar, or caves? Or the PowerPlant?
Another question/something interesting I've found. Trying to get the starters I went to Oak's Lab and talked to him, that made slowpoke and slowbro appear for me (My name is BLUE in game), which should not appear for my name. After that I tried swimming in vermillion (spent about 5 to 10 minutes there, no encounter) and then tried talking to the market guy in Viridian. After talking to him, and selling some ultraballs, I went to the Old Man in Viridian, flight to Cinnabar, and surfed again. Now Rattatta and sandshrew are appearing, besides the typical ones from the BLUE name. The question is, has anyone eles tried this experimentation with entenring in other buildings, talking to NPCs and stuff?
I swear I've found nothing besides the common info about going into the saffari, and the name being relevant for the pokémon that appear.
Any help/new discoveries would be nice!

I started a new game of Crystal on 3DS VC.
I followed TimoVM gen 2 ACE setup, changed my TID, got a GF shiny mew, celebi, the birds and dogs and 2 starters all before my first rival battle.
Can I remove it? Change my boxes back to regular names, get rid of the bad clone and remove tm15 from my items slot and continue on with the adventure like ACE was never there? Besides the obvious illegal pokemon and my TID being 00001. I've been looking but there is no guide I can find thats helpful. Things like "cleanup" don't explain if it removes stuff so im hesitant.
The only way I got to where I am now was a step by step video. I can read so that option is suitable also.
