I’m playing sapphire on my analogue pocket and using a save state to look for a 1% Pokemon but I’ve noticed that as soon as the save state loads if I’m holding left, I will always encounter the exact same pokemon every time, level and gender too. Do encounter rates run off of ticks? I remember hearing something about shiny hunting legendaries is hard because you can’t click at the same time otherwise you’ll get the same results.

Alpha Saphire (its similiar to other Hoenn games but specifically AS, thats where I had the issue)

Am I the only one that finds the mount pyre->slateport city->team aqua hideout part of the game stupidly difficult? I dont mean the difficulty of battles, but I feel like without googling and watching tutorials, its almost imposible to figure out that you need to visit mount Pyre (its also hidden pretty well, and you have to backtrack to it), im OK with the game being more difficult, Pokemon games are overall too easy, but this just doesnt seem right, I think many peaople quit Alpha Saphire(or other Hoenn games) because of this part.
