Went to two pitch black prereleases and had a blast! Got Miradon both times but was able to trade for the slowbro deck. Literally before the first prerelease I said “I really want that silvally” and he came home two packs later lol. Def suggest going to a prerelease if you’re chill with playing the game and opening packs.

Perfect Order has been pretty good to me too but honestly ive had okay luck with small samples of any set so far. only the 2nd SIR ive personally pulled so im very stoked.

Opened 1 Mega Zygarde Ex and 1 CR booster with my boys for the 4th. It was all fireworks.

Bought a 4 pack of Ascended heroes at the flea market today for $50. Was feeling a tad guilty about it. Feeling better about it now lmao!

Me and my GF have been saving packs for months. Goal was to open it all on our bday (November). Had to celebrate the 4th though. She pulls a god pack with the zekrom sir (not shown, we have 2) then she pulls the victini minutes later. I was happy for her and jealous at the same time, then it happened ! The monochrome zekrom pulled ! I pulled a chase !

Found these yesterday! First time in years I’ve seen my target stocked with Pokemon cards! I was genuinely shocked!

I knew there was a new release but figured they’d be sold out by the time I got off work, imagine my surprise to see them on the shelves at 7:30 pm. I wasn’t even there for Pokemon lol

They must’ve just put them out on the shelf because by the time me and my girlfriend grabbed what we wanted we were surrounded by a bunch of, presumably, scalpers.

They were vocally annoyed we got stuff and several people were watching us as we walked to check out. By the time we paid the entire shelf was cleared minus a couple tins.

We pulled a bunch of cards we really wanted and it was really great to get to do this with my girlfriend after we both had a really hard week. It was really nice to see her excited :)

I liked the look of the Chinese Prismatic set. The very first pack! It also had Umbreon as the keychain!! OMA OMA!

Just curious why there is such a card and how did one acquire it?

until about two months ago i hadn't opened a pack of Pokémon cards in over 25 years. i stayed a lifelong fan of the games and media, but lost interest in the card collecting aspect as I got older and gave my mom the okay to donate my entire collection.

i had master sets of base, jungle, and fossil, and can remember sorting them out at a mall event so I could collect my "gym badge" for completing each set. the only card I have left from my childhood collection is the base set 2 Chansey, which was found years later.

anyways i started seeing modern card content popping up and eventually it gave me the itch to dip my feet in. ive ripped definitely less than 100 packs total so far (one etb, one bundle, a handful of tins/minis) and the rest i got as singles.

ive got a pretty big wish list that im always adding to, and I cant buy cards as often as I want, but im happy with the small collection ive got so far.

I completely forgot there was Imakuni? cards until I saw this. I was first introduced to them with the gameboy pokemon trading card game, anyone know of any other ones? I’d love to start collecting them!

One of my local Targets only put out the Mega Greninja boxes this morning but the line today was different, lots of people but most of them were women and kids because there was also a Needoh restock. The woman who I was in line with said she'll buy me Pokemon if I buy her Needoh. And when they put them out there was only 16 Needoh cubes, even with the one limit per person there wasn't enough and the ones that didn't get any got really angry and were accusing the employees of hiding the rest of the stock. Now I understand how non-Pokemon people feel when they see us, I don't get it at all why this squishy thing is making people go crazy too.
