Thoughts on pb/cr/po below mrsp

Are these just scalping trying to clear stock and preparing for future sets? How likely are they filtered? I have seen prices of pb packs and booster box range around 5.90 - 6.50 per pack.

Advice?

Hi guys, first time poster here, looking to start an oripa livestream/account where the main purpose is rlly to connect with the community transparently and kind of take my hobby to the next level.

However ik theres alot of backlash regarding oripas and i could see why, with expensive prices and lackluster returns. What are some of the things you hate most about them and what would you want to see more about it.

Personally i feel its a fresh take on a similar concept we all know which is opening packs but with high stakes. Thanks!!

Dishonest vendor(tefuda) or hard customer? You decide 😡

TLDR Below. Full chat transcript with vendor attached as images.

Allow me to rant/warn about dealing with one of the vendors, less one with a physical store (Tefuda located at MacPherson).

Chronological timeline
Placed an order on their website on 31th July. A friend of mine placed an order for same product as well later on the same day.

My friend's product delivered on 4th Aug.

Asked for an update from vendor on 6th Aug.

11th Aug
I noticed my unit number was missing from the address details, promptly informed the vendor.
My friend informed me that her order had a tracking number in the email sent for order confirmation.
Checked with vendor for my tracking number.
Next day, asked update again. ( wanted the tracking number. )
Vendor recommends waiting for parcel to be backtrack to them.

19th Aug
Asked for updates again. (Vendor ghosted)

20th Aug (today)
Had enough of wasting my time for a simple request for the tracking number, and asked for a refund.
Vendor still unable to provide tracking number, which should exist. Or any substantial evidence that product has been shipped.

Checked with several vendors that I have engaged with, all of them mentioned there aren't any occasions where tracking number doesn't exist once its shipped.

TLDR: I placed an order on 31th July where I repeatedly asked for tracking number from the vendor after it's "shipped". Yet, they are unable to produce tracking number claiming that their system did not "register" due to incompletely address (yes my fault on this end).

Moral of the story: a physical store doesn’t necessarily mean the business is reliable.

Did they really shipped? Or did they ran out of stock? 🤔

Fake/resealed Terastal Festival boxes?

Hey guys,

I first posted on the is my pokemon card fake subreddit but I think I would find better information here.

I bought a few of these boxes on ebay and they look kinda off to me. The empty vol 2 gempack is mine and is from a legit source. Unfortunately, I do not have a real Terastal Festival box to compare.

The last 2 pictures are the Pokemom logo QR codes, the Terastal boxes constantly come up grainy on my phone camera.

Please let me know your guys thoughts and let me know if more pictures are needed.

Cheap M6 PCJ? Diamond hands, dont be tempted

Continuing on the Stop PCJ post, this week we saw tremendous drop in prices of M6, especially PCJ, down to $3.20 while BBs are holding up well. This is not a sign of entry, this is not a sign of over supply - this is a signal of how heavily filtered the PCJ version is. At $32 for 10 packs versus $150 for 30 packs (I chose unshrinked as benchmark because this is the last reasonably safe zone for filtering.), this is a difference of 56% in price per pack, this is a signal of 56% filtering literally. Traditional sets we will see this difference somewhere around 10-20%. Eg. IX had unshrinked at $92 vs PCJ $2.80 (9.5%) at its lowest, and the unshrinked during that period were indeed churning out Zards after zards, even gold zards, across various streams and physical shops. You decide.

pulled this out of my first pack from family mart osaka. went to pokemon center to get the slab and it looks amazing. also bought 10 more packs but hit nothing. I think the luck has run out.

tbh I'm considering grading it, maybe some expert here can lmk if it's worth grading?

Do auction but kpkb when nvr hit market value

Recently tiktok has allowed for auction and there are streamers who always kpkb when their auction price nvr hit market. Walao eh you want auction then just take the price the audience give. Most of the time u get above value alrdy for auction for the janks you sell. Once in awhile below market cannot be happy for buyers meh. And also, no one force you to auction. Anyone has same sentiments or isit just me that feel such streamers damn greedy.

Just entered this hobby and very interested in the Ascend mega gengar ex EN PSA10, But wondering what price is acceptable relative to market price? Eg price charting

Do sg market often have a markup on top of the market price Even when buying on carousell? Or can buy at a percentage of market?

Stop buying Japanese PCJs

Calling on all to stop buying Japanese PCJs, whether from Shops, cardshows, online, or streams, even for M6 rayquaza. I get it, its a beautiful chase, but the same scam and shit show is happening all over again without you realizing it only after spending a whole lot of money.

  1. Japanese packs are heavily filtered, when packed in clear bags, taped on the side with konbini tape, or even when in familiar Yellow pokemon center bags. They can be filtered by metal detectors, weight, hit filtering, and now even light shining. The filtering does not become obvious until you count the number of SARs and Top Hit SARs coming out, especially Top Hit (rayquaza) and grossly missing the 1 in 90 hit rate for SAR and 1 in 540 hit rate for specific SAR. We have seen this in Inferno X before, where people will say ‘oh pokemoncenter controlling Zard population’ or ‘PCJ is just like that’. You will see opening 10 packs with only normal Foil and/or EXes. Yes some will get lucky, you may even be the one that gets lucky and scold me, but on a bigger picture, these Top Hits are already mostly missing by the time it reached SG shores. Truth is, sg buyers even have options to choose the level of filtering from their suppliers.

  2. Price is heavily manipulated by Demand. It started being $7/pack. Now it is $4 range. In a few weeks time, M6 will drop to <$3 per pack. The MSRP has always been $1.50 per pack, but heavily manipulated by sellers on Japan end. English packs in print at most will be 2x MSRP (Pris or AH).

Bugis toysrus pull

bought the last 4 packs at toysrus and pulled this. could not believe my eyes.

edit: to give some context the store had 2.5 boxes left and I bought 10 packs last night. Today when I went, they had about .75 left of 1 box. I bought 2 packs of the .75 left. I went and ate lunch and after lunch, there were 9 packs left. I bought 5 and opened it while browsing at Bugis. I was about to leave Bugis when I felt an urge to go back and buy the last 4. My intuition was right on.
